1 Then came the word of Yahweh unto me, saying:
1 Recebi esta mensagem do S enhor :
2 Son of man Set thy face against Jerusalem, And drop thy word against the holy places And prophesy against the so of Israel.
2 “Filho do homem, volte o rosto para Jerusalém e profetize contra Israel e seus santuários.
3 Thou shalt say then to the so of Israel Thus saith Yahweh, Behold me against thee, Therefore will I bring forth my sword out of its sheath,and will cut off from thee the righteous and the lawless.
3 Diga-lhe: ‘Assim diz o S enhor : Sou seu inimigo, ó Israel, e estou prestes a tirar a espada da bainha para destruir seu povo, tanto os justos como os perversos.
4 Because I have cut off from thee the righteous and the lawless, Therefore shall my sword go forth out of its sheath against all flesh from south to north:
4 Sim, eliminarei tanto os justos como os perversos! Empunharei minha espada contra todos na terra, desde o sul até o norte.
5 So shall all flesh know that, I, Yahweh have brought forth my sword out of its sheath, it shall not return any more.
5 O mundo inteiro saberá que eu sou o S enhor . A espada está em minha mão, e ela não voltará à bainha’.
6 Thou, therefore O son of man sigh, In the sharp pain of thy loins and in bitterness, shalt thou sigh before their eyes.
6 “Filho do homem, comece a gemer! Comece a gemer diante do povo com amargura e coração quebrantado.
7 And it shall come to pass when they shall say unto thee, Wherefore art thou sighing? that thou shalt say, For the report because it cometh, When every heart shall melt. And all hands be unnerved And every spirit shall become faint. And all knees shall be weak as water, Lo! it cometh and shall be brought to pass, Saith My Lord, Yahweh.
7 Quando lhe perguntarem por que você está gemendo, diga-lhes: ‘Estou gemendo por causa da notícia que recebi. Quando ela se realizar, até mesmo o coração mais valente se derreterá de medo; toda a força desaparecerá. Todo espírito se angustiará; joelhos fortes se tornarão frouxos como água. E o S enhor Soberano diz: Ela está vindo! Está a caminho!’”.
8 And the word of Yahweh came unto me. saying:
8 Em seguida, o S enhor me disse:
9 Son of man, Prophesy and thou shalt say, Thus saith My Lord, Say, A sword! a sword! Sharpened moreover also furbished:
9 “Filho do homem, transmita ao povo esta mensagem do Senhor: “Uma espada, uma espada está sendo afiada e polida.
10 To make a slaughter, is it sharpened, That it may flash as lightning, is it furbished. Or shall we flourish the royal rod of my son which despiseth every tree?
10 Está sendo afiada para a matança e polida para faiscar como relâmpago. Agora nos alegraremos com o cetro de meu filho, o governante de Judá? A espada despreza qualquer pedaço de madeira!
11 It hath. however been given to be furbished that it may be grasped by the hand:The same is a sword sharpened. Yea the same, is furbished, Ready to be given into the hand of the slayer.
11 Sim, a espada está sendo afiada e polida, preparada para as mãos do carrasco.
12 Make an outcry and howl son of man, For the same hath come against my people, the same is against all the princes of Israel,- Who are thrown to the sword with my people, Therefore smite thou upon thy thigh.
12 “Filho do homem, grite e lamente-se, bata nas coxas em sinal de angústia, pois a espada matará meu povo e seus líderes; todos morrerão!
13 For trial hath been made, What then, even though the royal rod despiseth, shall it not be? Demandeth My Lord. Yahweh.
13 Ela porá todos eles à prova; e o que acontecerá quando o cetro, que a espada despreza, não mais existir?, diz o S
14 Thou, therefore, son of man, Prophesy, and smite thy hands together, And let the sword smite twice thrice the sword of the slain! the same is the great sword of the slain, that which hemmeth them in.
14 “Filho do homem, profetize para eles e bata palmas. Depois, pegue a espada e golpeie duas vezes, ou mesmo três vezes, para simbolizar a matança, a grande matança que os ameaça de todos os lados.
15 That the heart may melt And the overthrow be multiplied at all their gates, I have recompensed a slaying by the sword: Surety it hath been made ready to flash like lightning, keen for slaughter.
15 Que o coração deles se derreta de terror, pois a espada reluz em todas as portas. Faísca como relâmpago e está polida para a matança.
16 One firm stroke to the right. Turn to the left,- Whithersoever thine edge is directed,
16 Ó espada, golpeie à direita, golpeie à esquerda, para onde se virar e onde quiser.
17 Yea even I myself, will smite my hands together, And will cause mine indignation to find rest, Yahweh have spoken.
17 Eu também baterei palmas e satisfarei minha fúria. Eu, o S
18 Then came the word of Yahweh unto me saying:
18 Recebi esta mensagem do S enhor :
19 Thou, therefore son of man. Appoint thee two ways For the sword of the king of Babylon to enter, Out of one land shall those two ways come, And a hand, engrave thou, At the head of the way to the city, engrave it.;
19 “Filho do homem, desenhe um mapa e sobre ele trace dois caminhos para que a espada do rei da Babilônia os siga. Coloque um marco na estrada que sai da Babilônia, onde ela se divide em dois caminhos,
20 A way, shalt thou appoint, for the sword to enter. Even to Rabbah of the sons of Ammon, And to Judah against Jerusalem, the defenced,
20 um para Amom e sua capital, Rabá, e outro para Judá e Jerusalém, a cidade fortificada.
21 For the king of Babylon hath come tea stand At the parting of the way. At the head of the two ways To divine a divination:He hath shaken with arrows He hath asked of the household gods, He hath inspected the liver.
21 O rei da Babilônia está na encruzilhada, sem saber se deve atacar Jerusalém ou Rabá. Ele chama seus adivinhos para que façam previsões, e eles lançam sortes com flechas sacudidas da aljava, consultam seus ídolos e examinam o fígado de animais sacrificados.
22 On his right hand, hath come the divinationJerusalem! To plant battering-rams. To open a hole by breach To lift up the voice with a war-shout, To plant battering-rams against the gates, To cast up an earth-work To bud a siege-wall.
22 O presságio em sua mão direita indica ‘Jerusalém!’. Seus soldados atacarão as portas da cidade com troncos e darão gritos de guerra. Levantarão torres de cerco e construirão rampas contra os muros.
23 Though it will become to them a veritably false divination in their eyes, even when hound by oaths to theme Yet he calling to mind iniquity, will determine that it shall he captured.
23 Os habitantes de Jerusalém pensarão que se trata de um presságio falso, por causa de seu acordo com os babilônios. Mas o rei da Babilônia os lembrará de sua rebeldia. Ele os atacará e os levará prisioneiros.
24 Therefore Thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, Because ye have brought to mind your iniquity, by revealing your transgressions causing your sins to appear in all your doings,- Because ye have brought yourselves to mind By force shall ye be captured.
24 “Portanto, assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Repetidamente, vocês me lembram de seus pecados e sua rebeldia. Nem sequer tentam escondê-los! Em tudo que fazem, seus pecados ficam evidentes. Por isso, chegou a hora de seu castigo.
25 Thou therefore, O profane, lawless one, prince of Israel,- Whose day hath come, in a time of final iniquity:
25 “Ó príncipe de Israel, corrupto e perverso, o dia do acerto de contas chegou!
26 Thus, saith My Lord. Yahweh, Remove the turban, And lift off the crown, This not that, The abased, exalt, And the exalted, abase.
26 Assim diz o S enhor Soberano: “Tire sua coroa coberta de joias, pois o antigo sistema está para mudar. Os humildes serão exaltados, e os orgulhosos, humilhados.
27 An overthrow, overthrow, overthrow, will I make it, Even this hath not befallen unto the coming of One to whom belongeth the right Then will I bestow it.
27 Destruição! Destruição! Certamente destruirei o reino, e não será restaurado até que venha aquele que tem o direito de julgá-lo; então o entregarei a ele.”
28 Thou, therefore, son of man Prophesy and say, thus, saith My Lord. Yahweh, As to the sons of Ammon and as to their reproach Yea thou shalt say. A sword! a sword! Drawn for slaughter, Furbished, that when it beginneth, it may flash like lightning;
28 “Agora, filho do homem, profetize acerca dos amonitas e sua zombaria. Transmita-lhes esta mensagem do S enhor Soberano: “Uma espada, uma espada está pronta para a matança. Está polida para destruir e faísca como relâmpago.
29 Since they see for thee, false visions, Since they divine for thee lies, To stretch thee upon the necks of them who are the most profaned of lawless ones, Whose day hath come, in a time of final iniquity,
29 Seus profetas lhes deram visões falsas, seus adivinhos lhes contaram mentiras. A espada cairá sobre o pescoço dos perversos, para quem chegou o dia do juízo.
30 Put it back into its sheath! In the place where thou wast created In the land of thy nativity, will I judge thee
30 “Agora, ponham a espada de volta na bainha, pois em sua própria terra, no lugar onde nasceram, eu os julgarei.
31 Then will I pour out upon thee mine indignation, With the fire of mine outburst, will I blow upon thee; and will deliver thee up into the hand of brutish men, skilled to destroy.
31 Derramarei minha fúria sobre vocês e soprarei em vocês o fogo de minha ira. Eu os entregarei a homens cruéis, hábeis em destruir.
32 For the fire, shalt thou serve as fuel, Thy blood shall be in the midst of the land,- Thou shalt not be remembered, For I, Yahweh, have spoken.
32 Vocês serão combustível para o fogo, e seu sangue será derramado em sua própria terra. Não haverá mais lembrança de vocês na história, pois eu, o S
