1 All the commandment which I am commanding thee to-day, shalt thou, observe, to do,that ye may, live, and multiply, and enter in and possess the land, which Yahweh sware unto your fathers.
1 Todos os mandamentos que hoje vos ordeno guardareis para os cumprir; para que vivais, e vos multipliqueis, e entreis, e possuais a terra que o SENHOR jurou a vossos pais.
2 So then, thou shalt remember all the way in which Yahweh thy God caused thee to journey these forty years in the desert,that he might humble time to put thee to the proof to know what was in thy heart,whether thou wouldest keep his commandments or not.
2 E te lembrarás de todo o caminho, pelo qual o Senhor teu Deus te guiou no deserto estes quarenta anos, para te humilhar, e te provar, para saber o que estava no teu coração, se guardarias os seus mandamentos, ou não.
3 So he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna which thou hadst not known, neither had thy fathers known,that he might lead thee to consider that not on bread alone, shall the son of earth live, but on whatsoever cometh from the bidding of Yahweh, shall the son of earth live.
3 E te humilhou, e te deixou ter fome, e te sustentou com o maná, que tu não conheceste, nem teus pais o conheceram; para te dar a entender que o homem não viverá só de pão, mas de tudo o que sai da boca do Senhor viverá o homem.
4 Thy mantle, hath not fallen with age from off thee, and, thy foot, hath not become swollen,these forty years.
4 Nunca se envelheceu a tua roupa sobre ti, nem se inchou o teu pé nestes quarenta anos.
5 Thou must consider, then with thy heart,that as a man chasteneth his son, Yahweh thy God, hath been chastening thee.
5 Sabes, pois, no teu coração que, como um homem castiga a seu filho, assim te castiga o Senhor teu Deus.
6 Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments of Yahweh thy God,to walk in his ways and to revere him.
6 E guarda os mandamentos do Senhor teu Deus, para andares nos seus caminhos e para o temeres.
7 For, Yahweh thy God, is bringing thee into a good land; a land of ravines of water, of fountains and depths, coming forth in valley, and in mountain:
7 Porque o Senhor teu Deus te põe numa boa terra, terra de ribeiros de águas, de fontes, e de mananciais, que saem dos vales e das montanhas;
8 a land of wheat and barley, and vine and fig-tree, and pomegranate,a land of olive oil, and honey:
8 Terra de trigo e cevada, e de vides e figueiras, e romeiras; terra de oliveiras, de azeite e mel.
9 a land wherein not in scarcity, shalt thou eat food, thou shalt lack nothing therein,a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest hew copper.
9 Terra em que comerás o pão sem escassez, e nada te faltará nela; terra cujas pedras são ferro, e de cujos montes tu cavarás o cobre.
10 So then thou shalt eat and be satisfied,and bless Yahweh thy God, for the good land which he hath given unto thee.
10 Quando, pois, tiveres comido, e fores farto, louvarás ao Senhor teu Deus pela boa terra que te deu.
11 Take heed to thyself, lest thou forget Yahweh thy God,so as not to keep his commandments and his regulations and his statutes, which I am commanding thee to-day;
11 Guarda-te que não te esqueças do Senhor teu Deus, deixando de guardar os seus mandamentos, e os seus juízos, e os seus estatutos que hoje te ordeno;
12 lest thou eat, and be satisfied,and goodly houses, thou build and inhabit;
12 Para não suceder que, havendo tu comido e fores farto, e havendo edificado boas casas, e habitando-as,
13 and thy herd and thy flock, increase, and silver and gold, increase unto thee,and all that thou hast, increase;
13 E se tiverem aumentado os teus gados e os teus rebanhos, e se acrescentar a prata e o ouro, e se multiplicar tudo quanto tens,
14 and so thy heart be lifted up,and thou forget Yahweh thy God, who brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt out of the house of servants;
14 Se eleve o teu coração e te esqueças do Senhor teu Deus, que te tirou da terra do Egito, da casa da servidão;
15 who caused thee to journey through the great and terrible desert, of fiery serpents and scorpions, and thirsty wastes where was no water,who brought forth for thee water out of the flinty rock;
15 Que te guiou por aquele grande e terrível deserto de serpentes ardentes, e de escorpiões, e de terra seca, em que não havia água; e tirou água para ti da rocha pederneira;
16 who fed thee with manna in the desert, which thy fathers had not known,that he might humble thee, and that he might put thee to the proof, to do thee good in thy hereafter,
16 Que no deserto te sustentou com maná, que teus pais não conheceram; para te humilhar, e para te provar, para no fim te fazer bem;
17 and lest thou shouldest say in thy heart,Mine own strength and the might of mine own hand, have gotten me this wealth.
17 E digas no teu coração: A minha força, e a fortaleza da minha mão, me adquiriu este poder.
18 But thou shalt remember Yahweh thy God, that it was, he, who had been giving thee strength to get wealth,that so he might establish his covenant which he sware to thy fathers as at this day.
18 Antes te lembrarás do Senhor teu Deus, que ele é o que te dá força para adquirires riqueza; para confirmar a sua aliança, que jurou a teus pais, como se vê neste dia.
19 But it shall be if thou forget, Yahweh thy God, and go after ether gods, and serve them, and bow thyself down to them, I testify against you to-day, that ye shall perish:
19 Será, porém, que, se de qualquer modo te esqueceres do Senhor teu Deus, e se ouvires outros deuses, e os servires, e te inclinares perante eles, hoje eu testifico contra vós que certamente perecereis.
20 like the nations which, Yahweh, is causing to perish from before you, so, shall ye perish, because ye would not hearken unto the voice of Yahweh your God.
20 Como as nações que o Senhor destruiu diante de vós, assim vós perecereis, porquanto não queríeis obedecer à voz do Senhor vosso Deus.
