1 In the first year of Darius son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes,who was made king over the kingdom of the Chaldeans:
1 No primeiro ano de Dario, filho de Assuero, da linhagem dos medos, o qual foi constituído rei sobre o reino dos caldeus,
2 in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, perceived by the writings,the number of the years, as to which the word of Yahweh came unto Jeremiah the prophet, to fulfil the desolations of Jerusalem, seventy years.
2 no primeiro ano do seu reinado, eu, Daniel, entendi, pelos livros, que o número de anos, de que falara o Senhor ao profeta Jeremias, que haviam de durar as assolações de Jerusalém, era de setenta anos.
3 So I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek
3 Voltei o rosto ao Senhor Deus, para o buscar com oração e súplicas, com jejum, pano de saco e cinza.
4 yea I prayed unto Yahweh my God, and made confession,and saidI beseech thee, O Lord, the GOD great and to be revered, keeping the covenant and the lovingkindness, to them who love him, and to them who keep his commandments.
4 Orei ao Senhor , meu Deus, confessei e disse: ah! Senhor! Deus grande e temível, que guardas a aliança e a misericórdia para com os que te amam e guardam os teus mandamentos;
5 We have sinned and committed iniquity, and been guilty of lawlessness and been rebellious,even departing from thy commandments, and from thy regulations;
5 temos pecado e cometido iniquidades, procedemos perversamente e fomos rebeldes, apartando-nos dos teus mandamentos e dos teus juízos;
6 and have not hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, who spake in thy name, unto our kings, our rulers, and our fathers,and unto all the people of the land.
6 e não demos ouvidos aos teus servos, os profetas, que em teu nome falaram aos nossos reis, nossos príncipes e nossos pais, como também a todo o povo da terra.
7 To thee, O Lord, belongeth righteousness, but, to us, the shame of faces, as at this day,to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, the near and the far off, throughout all the lands whither thou hast driven them, in their treachery, wherewith they had been treacherous against thee.
7 A ti, ó Senhor, pertence a justiça, mas a nós, o corar de vergonha, como hoje se vê; aos homens de Judá, os moradores de Jerusalém, todo o Israel, quer os de perto, quer os de longe, em todas as terras por onde os tens lançado, por causa das suas transgressões que cometeram contra ti.
8 O Yahweh, to us, belongeth the shame of faces, to our kings, to our rulers, and to our fathers,in that we have sinned against thee.
8 Ó Senhor , a nós pertence o corar de vergonha, aos nossos reis, aos nossos príncipes e aos nossos pais, porque temos pecado contra ti.
9 To the Lord our God, belong compassions, and forgivenesses,for we have rebelled against him;
9 Ao Senhor, nosso Deus, pertence a misericórdia e o perdão, pois nos temos rebelado contra ele
10 and have not hearkened unto the voice of Yahweh our God,to walk in his instructions which he set before us, through means of his servants the prophets;
10 e não obedecemos à voz do Senhor , nosso Deus, para andarmos nas suas leis, que nos deu por intermédio de seus servos, os profetas.
11 yea, all Israel, have transgressed thy law, even going away, so as not to hearken unto thy voice,therefore, were poured out upon us, the curse and the oath which had been written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we had sinned against him.
11 Sim, todo o Israel transgrediu a tua lei, desviando-se, para não obedecer à tua voz; por isso, a maldição e as imprecações que estão escritas na Lei de Moisés, servo de Deus, se derramaram sobre nós, porque temos pecado contra ti.
12 Thus hath he confirmed his words which he had spoken against us, and against our judges who had judged us, by bringing in upon us a great calamity,as to which there had not been done, under all the heavens, as hath been done unto Jerusalem.
12 Ele confirmou a sua palavra, que falou contra nós e contra os nossos juízes que nos julgavam, e fez vir sobre nós grande mal, porquanto nunca, debaixo de todo o céu, aconteceu o que se deu em Jerusalém.
13 Even as written in the law of Moses, hath, all this calamity, come in upon us,yet entreated we not the face of Yahweh our God, by turning away from our iniquities, and by getting intelligence in thy truth.
13 Como está escrito na Lei de Moisés, todo este mal nos sobreveio; apesar disso, não temos implorado o favor do Senhor , nosso Deus, para nos convertermos das nossas iniquidades e nos aplicarmos à tua verdade.
14 Therefore hath Yahweh, kept watch, for the calamity, and brought it in upon us,for righteous is Yahweh our God concerning all his deeds which he hath done, seeing that we had not hearkened unto his voice.
14 Por isso, o Senhor cuidou em trazer sobre nós o mal e o fez vir sobre nós; pois justo é o Senhor , nosso Deus, em todas as suas obras que faz, pois não obedecemos à sua voz.
15 Now, therefore, O Lord our God, who didst bring forth thy people out of the land of Egypt with a firm hand, and didst make for thyself a name, as at this day,we have sinned, we have been guilty of lawlessness.
15 Na verdade, ó Senhor, nosso Deus, que tiraste o teu povo da terra do Egito com mão poderosa, e a ti mesmo adquiriste renome, como hoje se vê, temos pecado e procedido perversamente.
16 O Lord! according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thine indignation turn away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain,for, by reason of our sins, and by reason of the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people, have become a reproach, to all who are round about us.
16 Ó Senhor, segundo todas as tuas justiças, aparte-se a tua ira e o teu furor da tua cidade de Jerusalém, do teu santo monte, porquanto, por causa dos nossos pecados e por causa das iniquidades de nossos pais, se tornaram Jerusalém e o teu povo opróbrio para todos os que estão em redor de nós.
17 Now, therefore, hearken, O our God, unto the prayer of thy servant, and unto his supplications, and let thy face shine, upon thy sanctuary, that is desolate,for the sake of thy servants, O Lord.
17 Agora, pois, ó Deus nosso, ouve a oração do teu servo e as suas súplicas e sobre o teu santuário assolado faze resplandecer o rosto, por amor do Senhor.
18 Incline, O my God, thine ear, and hearken, open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city on which hath been called thy name; for, not on the ground of our own righteousnesses, are we causing our supplications to fall down before thee, but on the ground of thine abounding compassions.
18 Inclina, ó Deus meu, os ouvidos e ouve; abre os olhos e olha para a nossa desolação e para a cidade que é chamada pelo teu nome, porque não lançamos as nossas súplicas perante a tua face fiados em nossas justiças, mas em tuas muitas misericórdias.
19 O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hearken and perform! Do not delay! For thine own sake, O my God, because, thine own name, hath been called, upon thy city, and upon thy people.
19 Ó Senhor, ouve; ó Senhor, perdoa; ó Senhor, atende-nos e age; não te retardes, por amor de ti mesmo, ó Deus meu; porque a tua cidade e o teu povo são chamados pelo teu nome.
20 And, while yet I was speaking, and praying, and confessing mine own sin, and the sin of my people Israel,and causing my supplication to fall down before Yahweh my God, concerning the holy mountain of my God;
20 Falava eu ainda, e orava, e confessava o meu pecado e o pecado do meu povo de Israel, e lançava a minha súplica perante a face do Senhor , meu Deus, pelo monte santo do meu Deus.
21 while yet I was speaking in prayer, then, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in vision at the beginning, wearied with rapid flight, touched me, about the time of the evening present.
21 Falava eu, digo, falava ainda na oração, quando o homem Gabriel, que eu tinha observado na minha visão ao princípio, veio rapidamente, voando, e me tocou à hora do sacrifício da tarde.
22 Yea he came, and spake with me,and saidO Daniel! now, have I come forth, to teach thee understanding.
22 Ele queria instruir-me, falou comigo e disse: Daniel, agora, saí para fazer-te entender o sentido.
23 At the beginning of thy supplications, came forth a word, I, therefore, am arrived to tell, because, a man delighted in, thou art,mark then the word, and have understanding in the revelation:
23 No princípio das tuas súplicas, saiu a ordem, e eu vim, para to declarar, porque és mui amado; considera, pois, a coisa e entende a visão.
24 Seventy weeks, have been divided concerning thy people and concerning thy holy cityto put an end to the transgression, and fill up the measure of sin, and put a propitiatory-covering over iniquity, and bring in the righteousness of ages, and affix a seal the vision and prophecy, and anoint the holy of holies.
24 Setenta semanas estão determinadas sobre o teu povo e sobre a tua santa cidade, para fazer cessar a transgressão, para dar fim aos pecados, para expiar a iniquidade, para trazer a justiça eterna, para selar a visão e a profecia e para ungir o Santo dos Santos.
25 Thou must know, then, and understand: From the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalemunto the Anointed One, the Prince, seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks,the broadway and the wall, shall again be built, even in the end of the times.
25 Sabe e entende: desde a saída da ordem para restaurar e para edificar Jerusalém, até ao Ungido, ao Príncipe, sete semanas e sessenta e duas semanas; as praças e as circunvalações se reedificarão, mas em tempos angustiosos.
26 And, after the sixty-two weeks, shall the Anointed One, be cut off, and have, nothing,and, the city and the sanctuary, will one destroy with the Prince, and so will his own end come with an overwhelming flood, howbeit, up to the full end of the war, are decreed astounding things.
26 Depois das sessenta e duas semanas, será morto o Ungido e já não estará; e o povo de um príncipe que há de vir destruirá a cidade e o santuário, e o seu fim será num dilúvio, e até ao fim haverá guerra; desolações são determinadas.
27 And he will confirm a covenant to the many, for one week,but, in the middle of the week, will cause sacrifice and present to cease, and, in his stead,
27 Ele fará firme aliança com muitos, por uma semana; na metade da semana, fará cessar o sacrifício e a oferta de manjares; sobre a asa das abominações virá o assolador, até que a destruição, que está determinada, se derrame sobre ele.
