Rotherham Version (ROTH) vs NVT
1 In the third year of Cyrus, king of Persia, a matter, was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and faithful was the matter, but a great warfare, and he marked the word, and had understanding in the revelation.
1 No terceiro ano do reinado de Ciro, rei da Pérsia, Daniel (também chamado Beltessazar) teve outra visão. Ele entendeu que essa visão era verdadeira e se referia a certos acontecimentos que ocorreriam no futuro, tempos de guerra e de grande dificuldade.
2 In those days, I, Daniel, was mourning three sevens of days:
2 Eu, Daniel, recebi essa visão depois de passar três semanas de luto.
3 food to delight in, did I not eat, neither flesh nor wine, came into my mouth, nor did I so much as, anoint, myself,until were fulfilled three sevens of days.
3 Durante todo esse tempo, não havia comido nada saboroso. Não tinha provado nenhuma carne e nenhum vinho e não tinha usado nenhuma loção perfumada até passarem as três semanas.
4 And, on the twenty-fourth day of the first month,when, I, was by the side of the great river, the same, is Tigris,
4 Em 23 de abril daquele ano, estava em pé próximo ao grande rio Tigre.
5 then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and lo! a man, clothed in linen,whose loins, were girded with the bright gold of Uphaz;
5 Levantei os olhos e vi um homem vestido com roupas de linho e um cinto de ouro puro.
6 whose body, was like Tarshish-stone, and, his face, like the appearance of lightning, and, his eyes, were like torches of fire, and, his arms and his feet, like the look of bronze burnished,and, the sound of his words, was like the sound of a multitude.
6 Seu corpo era semelhante a uma pedra preciosa. Seu rosto faiscava como relâmpago, e seus olhos eram como tochas acesas. Seus braços e seus pés brilhavam como bronze polido, e sua voz era como o som de uma grande multidão.
7 And, I, Daniel, alone, beheld the revelation, and, the men who were with me, beheld not the revelation,in truth, a great terror, had fallen upon them, and they had fled while hiding themselves.
7 Somente eu, Daniel, tive essa visão. Os homens que estavam comigo não viram coisa alguma. De repente, porém, eles se encheram de terror e correram para se esconder.
8 I, therefore, was left alone, and beheld this great revelation, and there remained in me no strength,but, my freshness, was turned upon me into disfigurement, and I retained no strength.
8 Assim, fiquei ali sozinho e tive essa visão extraordinária. Perdi as forças, fiquei muito pálido e quase desfaleci.
9 So then I heard the sound of his words,and, when I heard the sound of his words, then, I myself, came to be in a deep sleep upon my face, with, my face, to the earth.
9 Então ouvi o homem falar e, ao som de sua voz, perdi os sentidos e fiquei ali estendido, com o rosto no chão.
10 And lo! a hand, touched me; and roused me up on my knees and the palms of my hands.
10 Nesse instante, a mão de alguém me tocou e me pôs, ainda trêmulo, sobre minhas mãos e meus joelhos.
11 Then said he unto me, O Daniel! man greatly delighted in! have understanding in the words which, I, am about to speak unto thee, and stand up where thou art, for, now, have I been sent unto thee. And, when he had spoken with me this word, I stood up trembling.
11 E o homem me disse: “Daniel, você é muito precioso para Deus; por isso, ouça com atenção o que tenho a lhe dizer. Levante-se, pois fui enviado a você”. Quando ele me disse isso, me levantei, ainda tremendo.
12 Then said he unto me, Do not fear, Daniel, for, from the first day that thou didst set thy heart to understand and to humble thyself before thy God, thy words were heard; and, I, am come, by reason of thy words.
12 Em seguida, ele disse: “Não tenha medo, Daniel. Pois, desde o primeiro dia em que você começou a orar por entendimento e a se humilhar diante de seu Deus, seu pedido foi ouvido. Eu vim em resposta à sua oração.
13 But, the ruler of the kingdom of Persia, withstood me twenty-one days, but lo! Michael, one of the chief rulers, came in to help me,and, I, left him there, beside the kings of Persia.
13 Por 21 dias, porém, o príncipe do reino da Pérsia me impediu. Então Miguel, um dos príncipes mais importantes, veio me ajudar, e eu o deixei ali com os reis da Pérsia.
14 So then I am come to let thee understand that which shall befall thy people in the afterpart of the days,for yet is the vision for days.
14 Agora estou aqui para explicar o que acontecerá com seu povo no futuro, pois essa visão se refere a um tempo que ainda está por vir”.
15 And, when he had spoken with me such words as these,I set my face towards the earth, and was dumb.
15 Enquanto ele falava comigo, eu olhava para o chão, sem conseguir dizer uma única palavra.
16 Then lo! like the similitude of the sons of men, one was touching my lips,so I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him who was standing before me, O my lord! By the revelation, my pains have seized me, and I retain no strength.
16 Então aquele que se parecia com um homem tocou meus lábios, e eu abri a boca e comecei a falar. Disse àquele que estava diante de mim: “Meu senhor, estou angustiado por causa da visão que tive, e me sinto muito fraco.
17 How then can the servant of this my lord speak with this my lord,seeing that, as for mehenceforth, there remaineth in me no strength, and no, spirit, is left in me?
17 Como é possível alguém como eu, seu servo, falar com meu senhor? Minhas forças se foram, e mal consigo respirar”.
18 Then again there touched me one like in appearance to a son of earth, and he strengthened me.
18 Então aquele que se parecia com um homem tocou em mim novamente, e senti minhas forças voltarem.
19 And he said, Do not fear, O man greatly delighted in! peace to thee, be strong, yea be strong! And, as he spake with me, I gained strength, and said, Let my lord speak, for thou hast strengthened me.
19 “Não tenha medo”, ele disse, “pois você é muito precioso para Deus. Que a paz esteja com você! Tenha ânimo! Seja forte!” Enquanto ele falava, logo me senti mais forte e disse: “Fale, meu senhor, pois me fortaleceu”.
20 And he said, Knowest thou wherefore I am come unto thee? But, now, must I return to fight with the ruler of Persia; I, therefore am going forth, and lo! the ruler of Greece, is coming.
20 Então ele disse: “Você sabe por que eu vim? Em breve terei de voltar para lutar com o príncipe do reino da Pérsia e, depois disso, virá o príncipe do reino da Grécia.
21 Howbeit I will tell thee that which is inscribed in the writing of truth,but there is no one who holdeth strongly with me concerning these things, save Michael your ruler.
21 Mas agora lhe direi o que está escrito no Livro da Verdade. (Ninguém me ajuda na luta contra esses príncipes, exceto Miguel, o príncipe de vocês.
