1 After these things, I saw another messenger, coming down out of heaven,having great authority; and, the earth, was illumined with his glory.
1 E depois destas coisas, eu vi outro anjo descer do céu, tendo grande poder, e a terra foi iluminada com a sua glória.
2 And he cried out, with a mighty voice, sayingFallen! fallen! is Babylon the Great, and hath become a habitation of demons, and a prison of every impure spirit, and a prison of every impure and hated bird;
2 E ele gritou poderosamente com uma forte voz, dizendo: Babilônia, a grande, caiu, caiu e se tornou habitação de demônios, e o antro de todo espírito imundo, e gaiola de toda ave imunda e odiável.
3 Because, by reason of the wine of the wrath of her lewdness, have all the nations fallen, and, the kings of the earth, with her, did commit lewdness, and, the merchants of the earth, by reason of the power of her wantonness, waxed rich.
3 Porque todas as nações beberam do vinho da ira da sua fornicação, e os reis da terra cometeram fornicação com ela; e os mercadores da terra se enriqueceram pela abundância de suas iguarias.
4 And I heard another voice out of heaven, sayingCome forth, my people, out of her,that ye may have no fellowship with her sins, and, of her plagues, that ye may not receive;
4 E eu ouvi outra voz do céu, dizendo: Sai dela, povo meu, para que não sejais participantes de seus pecados, e para que não recebam suas pragas.
5 because her sins were joined together as far as heaven, and God hath remembered her unrighteous deeds.
5 Porque os seus pecados têm chegado até o céu, e Deus se lembrou das suas iniquidades.
6 Render ye unto her, as, she also, rendered, and double the double, according to her works,in the cup wherein she mixed, mix, unto her, double,
6 Retribuí-lhe assim como ela vos retribuiu, e dobro sobre o seu dobro de acordo com suas obras; no cálice que ela encheu, enchei-lhe o dobro.
7 As much as she glorified herself, and waxed wanton, so much give, unto her, torment and grief:because, in her heart, she saithI sit a Queen, and, widow, am I not, and, grief, in nowise shall I see!
7 O tanto que ela se glorificou, e viveu deliciosamente, dai-lhe o tanto de tormento e pranto; porque ela diz em seu coração: Estou assentada como rainha, e não sou viúva, e não verei nenhuma tristeza.
8 Therefore, in one day, shall have come her plagues,death and grief and famine; and, with fire, shall she be burned up;because, mighty, is the Lord God who hath judged her.
8 Por isso suas pragas virão em um dia; a morte, e o luto, e a fome; e ela será completamente queimada com fogo; porque forte é o Senhor Deus que a julga.
9 And they shall weep and wail over hershall the kings of the earth who, with her, committed lewdness and waxed wanton,as soon as they see the smoke of her burning,
9 E os reis da terra, que cometeram fornicação e viveram deliciosamente com ela, chorarão, e lamentarão por ela, quando virem a fumaça do seu incêndio;
10 afar off, standing, because of their fear of her torment, sayingAlas! alas! the great city! Babylon, the mighty city! That, in one hour, hath come thy judgment.
10 ficando de longe, por medo de sua tormenta, dizem: Ai, ai daquela grande cidade de Babilônia, aquela poderosa cidade! Porque em uma hora chegou o teu juízo.
11 And, the merchants of the earth, weep and grieve over her, because, their cargo, no one, buyeth any more:
11 E os mercadores da terra chorarão e lamentarão sobre ela; porque nenhum homem compra mais as suas mercadorias.
12 cargo of gold, and silver, and precious stone, and pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and every article of ivory, and every article of wood most precious, and of copper, and of iron, and of marble,
12 Mercadorias de ouro, e de prata, e de pedras preciosas, e de pérolas, e de linho fino, e de púrpura, e de seda, e de escarlate; e toda a madeira odorífera, e todo tipo de vaso de marfim, e todo tipo de vaso da mais preciosa madeira, de bronze, e de ferro, e de mármore;
13 and cinnamon, and spice, and incense, and unguent, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and cattle, and sheep, and of horses, and of chariots, and of bodies, and lives of men.
13 e canela, e fragrâncias, e unguentos, e olíbano, e vinho, e azeite, e farinha finíssima, e trigo, e animais, e ovelhas; e cavalos, e carruagens, e escravos, e almas de homens.
14 And, the fruit of the coveting of thy soul, hath departed from thee, and, all things rich and bright, have perished from thee; and, no more, in anywise, for them, shall they seek.
14 E os frutos do desejo de tua alma, partiram de ti; e todas as coisas que eram saborosas e agradáveis partiram de ti, e não mais as acharás de forma alguma.
15 The merchants of these things, who were enriched by her, afar off, shall stand, because of their fear of her torment, weeping, and grieving,
15 Os mercadores destas coisas, que por ela se enriqueceram, ficarão de longe, pelo temor de seu tormento, chorando e lamentando,
16 as they sayAlas! alas! the great city! She that was arrayed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stone, and pearl,
16 e dizendo: Ai, ai daquela grande cidade! que se vestia de linho fino, e de púrpura, e de escarlate; e se adornava com ouro e pedras preciosas e pérolas!
17 That, in one hour, hath been laid waste, such great wealth as this! And, every pilot, and every passenger, and mariners, and as many as, by the sea, carry on traffic, afar off did stand,
17 Porque em uma hora tão grandes riquezas viraram em nada. E todo timoneiro e toda a companhia das naus, e marinheiros, e todos quantos fazem comércio marítimo, ficaram de longe,
18 and they cried out, seeing the smoke of her burning, sayingWhat city is like unto the great city?
18 e vendo a fumaça de seu incêndio, eles gritavam, dizendo: Que cidade é semelhante a esta grande cidade?
19 And they cast dust upon their heads, and cried out, weeping and grieving, sayingAlas! alas! the great city! Whereby were made rich all that had ships in the sea, by reason of her costliness,that, in one hour, she hath been laid waste!
19 E lançaram pó sobre as suas cabeças, e clamaram, chorando e lamentando, dizendo: Ai, ai daquela grande cidade! Onde se enriqueceram todos os que tinham navios no mar em razão de seu alto preço! Porque em uma hora ela foi desolada.
20 Be glad over her, thou heaven! And ye saints, and ye apostles, and ye prophets! For that God hath exacted your vindication from her.
20 Regozijas-te sobre ela, tu céu, e vós, santos apóstolos e profetas; porque Deus vos vingou dela.
21 And one mighty messenger lifted a stone, as it were a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, sayingThus, with main force, shall be cast down, Babylon the great city,and in nowise be found any more;
21 E um poderoso anjo ergueu uma pedra semelhante a uma grande pedra de moinho, e lançou-a no mar, dizendo: Deste modo, com violência, será a grande cidade de Babilônia derrubada e não será mais achada de forma alguma.
22 And sound of harp-singers, and musicians, and flute-players, and trumpeters,in nowise be heard in thee any more; and any artisan of any art ,in nowise be found in thee any more; and sound of millstone,in nowise be found in thee any more;
22 E a voz de harpistas, e de músicos, e de flautistas, e de trompetistas, não se ouvirá mais em ti; e nenhum artesão, de qualquer ofício que seja, será mais encontrado em ti; e o som da pedra de moinho não se ouvirá mais em ti de forma alguma;
23 And light of lamp,in nowise shine in thee any more; and voice of bridegroom and bride,in nowise be heard in thee any more; because, thy merchants, were the great ones of the earth, because, with thy sorcery, were all the nations deceived:
23 e a luz de um candeeiro não mais brilhará em ti; e a voz do noivo e da noiva não mais se ouvirá em ti; porque os teus mercadores eram os grandes homens da terra; porque pelas tuas feitiçarias todas as nações foram enganadas.
24 And, in her, blood of prophets and saints, was found,and of all who had been slain upon the earth.
24 E nela se achou o sangue dos profetas, e dos santos, e de todos os que foram mortos na terra.
