1 And, a great sign, appeared in heaven: a woman arrayed with the sun, and, the moon, beneath her feet, and, upon her head, a crown of twelve stars;
1 Viu-se grande sinal no céu: uma mulher vestida do sol com a lua debaixo dos pés e uma coroa de doze estrelas na cabeça.
2 and she was with child, and crieth out, being in pangs and in anguish to bring forth?
2 A mulher estava grávida e gritava com dores de parto, sofrendo tormentos para dar à luz.
3 And there appeared another sign in heaven; and lo! a great red dragon,having seven heads and ten horns, and, upon his heads, seven diadems;
3 Viu-se, também, outro sinal no céu, e eis um dragão, grande, vermelho, com sete cabeças e dez chifres, e, nas cabeças, sete diademas.
4 and, his tail, draweth the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth. And, the dragon, stood before the woman who was about to bring forth, that, as soon as she should bring forth, he might devour, her child.
4 A sua cauda arrastou a terça parte das estrelas do céu, as quais lançou para a terra. E o dragão se deteve diante da mulher que estava para dar à luz, a fim de devorar o filho dela quando nascesse.
5 And she brought forth a son, a manchild, who was about to shepherd all the nations with a sceptre of iron; and her child was caught away unto God and unto his throne.
5 Ela deu à luz um filho homem, que há de governar todas as nações com cetro de ferro. E o filho da mulher foi arrebatado para junto de Deus e do seu trono.
6 And, the woman, fled into the desert, where she hath a place prepared of God, that, there, they should nourish her a thousand, two hundred, and sixty days.
6 A mulher, porém, fugiu para o deserto, onde Deus lhe havia preparado um lugar, para que nele a sustentem durante mil duzentos e sessenta dias.
7 And there came to be war in heaven: Michael and his messengers to war with the dragon; and, the dragon, fought, and his messengers;
7 Então estourou a guerra no céu. Miguel e os seus anjos lutaram contra o dragão. Também o dragão e os seus anjos lutaram,
8 and he prevailed not, neither was place found for them, any longer, in heaven.
8 mas não conseguiram sair vitoriosos e não havia mais lugar para eles no céu.
9 And the great dragon was cast out,the ancient serpent, he that is called Adversary and the Satan, that deceiveth the whole habitable world,he was cast to the earth, and his messengers, with him, were cast.
9 E foi expulso o grande dragão, a antiga serpente, que se chama diabo e Satanás, o sedutor de todo o mundo. Ele foi atirado para a terra, e, com ele, os seus anjos.
10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, sayingNow, hath come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ; because the accuser of our brethren hath been cast out, who was accusing them before our God day and night;
10 Então ouvi uma voz forte no céu, proclamando: “Agora veio a salvação, o poder, o reino do nosso Deus e a autoridade do seu Cristo, pois foi expulso o acusador de nossos irmãos, o mesmo que os acusa de dia e de noite diante do nosso Deus.
11 And, they, overcame him by reason of the blood of the Lamb, and by reason of their witnessing word, and they loved not their life, even unto death.
11 Eles o venceram por causa do sangue do Cordeiro e por causa da palavra do testemunho que deram e, mesmo diante da morte, não amaram a própria vida.
12 For this cause, be joyful, O heavens, and ye who, therein, are tabernacling. Woe! unto the earth, and the sea, because the Adversary hath come down unto you, having great wrathknowing that, but a little season, he hath.
12 Por isso, alegrem-se, ó céus, e vocês que neles habitam. Ai da terra e do mar, pois o diabo desceu até vocês, cheio de fúria, sabendo que pouco tempo lhe resta.”
13 And, when the dragon saw that he was cast to the earth, he pursued the woman who had brought forth the manchild.
13 Quando o dragão viu que tinha sido atirado para a terra, perseguiu a mulher que tinha dado à luz o filho homem.
14 And there were given unto the woman the two wings of the great eagle, that she might fly into the desert, into her place,where she is nourished, a season and seasons and half a season, from the face of the serpent.
14 Mas foram dadas à mulher as duas asas da grande águia, para que voasse para o deserto, para o seu lugar, aí onde é sustentada durante um tempo, tempos e metade de um tempo, fora do alcance da serpente.
15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth, after the woman, water as a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the stream.
15 Então, a serpente lançou da boca água como um rio atrás da mulher, a fim de fazer com que ela fosse arrastada pelas águas.
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
16 A terra, porém, socorreu a mulher: abriu a sua boca e engoliu o rio que o dragão tinha lançado de sua boca.
17 And the dragon was angered against the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seedwith them who were keeping the commandments of God, and holding the witness of Jesus;and he stood upon the sand of the sea.
17 O dragão ficou irado com a mulher e foi travar guerra com o restante da descendência dela, ou seja, os que guardam os mandamentos de Deus e têm o testemunho de Jesus.

18 E o dragão se pôs em pé sobre a areia do mar.
