1 Then prayed Hannah, and said, My heart hath leaped for joy in Yahweh, My horn is exalted in Yahweh, My mouth is opened wide, oer my foes, Because I rejoice in thy salvation.
1 E Ana orou, e disse: Meu coração exulta no SENHOR, meu chifre é exaltado no SENHOR; minha boca é ampliada sobre os meus inimigos, porque eu exulto na tua salvação.
2 There is none holy like Yahweh, Nay! there, is none, except Thee, Nor, is, there a rock, like our God.
2 Não há nenhum santo como o SENHOR; pois não há nenhum além de ti; tampouco há uma rocha como o nosso Deus.
3 Do not multiply words, so loftilyloftily, Nor let arrogance proceed from your mouth,For, a GOD of knowledge, is Yahweh, And, for himself, are great doings made firm.
3 Não faleis mais com tamanha soberba; não deixeis que a arrogância saia da vossa boca; pois o SENHOR é um Deus de conhecimento, e por ele as ações são medidas.
4 The bow of the mighty, is dismayed,While, the fainting, are girded with strength;
4 Os arcos dos homens poderosos são quebrados, e os que são pisoteados são cingidos com vigor.
5 The sated, have, for bread, taken hire, But, the famished, have left off their toil,So that, the barren, hath given birth unto seven, While, she that hath many sons, languisheth:
5 Os que estavam fartos alugaram-se a si mesmos por pão; e os que estavam famintos cessaram; de modo que a estéril deu à luz sete; e aquela que tem muitos filhos é enfraquecida.
6 Yahweh, doth kill, and make alive,Taketh down to hades, and bringeth up:
6 O SENHOR mata, e faz viver; ele faz descer ao sepulcro, e faz subir.
7 Yahweh, maketh poor, and enricheth,Layeth low, yea exalteth;
7 O SENHOR empobrece, e enriquece; ele traz abaixo e exalta.
8 Raiseth, from the dust, the poor, From the dunghill, uplifteth the needy, To give them a dwelling with nobles, And, a throne of glory, to make them inherit. For, to Yahweh, belong the pillars of the earth, And he setteth thereon the habitable world.
8 Ele ergue o pobre do pó, e levanta o mendigo do monte de estrume, para colocá-los entre os príncipes, e fazê-los herdar o trono da glória; pois os pilares da terra são do SENHOR, e ele estabeleceu o mundo sobre eles.
9 The feet of his loving ones, he doth guard, But, the lawless, in darkness shall be silent,For, by strength, shall no man prevail.
9 Ele guardará os pés dos seus santos, e os ímpios serão silenciados na escuridão; pois pela força nenhum homem prevalecerá.
10 As for Yahweh,they shall be shattered who contend with him, Over him, in the heavens will he thunder, Yahweh, will judge the ends of the earth,That he may give strength to his King, And exalt the horn of his Anointed One.
10 Os adversários do SENHOR serão quebrados em pedaços; do céu ele trovejará sobre eles; o SENHOR julgará as extremidades da terra; e dará força ao seu rei, e exaltará o chifre do seu ungido.
11 Then went Elkanah to Ramah, unto his own house,but, the boy, remained ministering unto Yahweh, before Eli the priest.
11 E Elcana foi a Ramá, para a sua casa. E a criança ministrava ao SENHOR diante de Eli, o sacerdote.
12 Now, the sons of Eli, were abandoned men,they knew not Yahweh.
12 Ora, os filhos de Eli eram filhos de Belial; eles não conheciam o SENHOR.
13 And, the custom of the priests with the people, waswhen any man offered a sacrifice, then would come the priests young man, as the flesh was boiling, with a three-pronged fork in his hand;
13 E o costume dos sacerdotes com o povo era que, quando qualquer homem oferecesse sacrifício, o servo do sacerdote vinha, enquanto a carne estava em fervura, com um gancho para carnes de três dentes em sua mão;
14 and would strike it into the boiler, or into the trough, or into the kettle, or into the pot, all that the fork would bring up, the priest took for himself. Thus and thus, used they to do unto all Israel, who came thither, in Shiloh.
14 e ele o lançava na panela, ou tacho, ou caldeirão, ou pote; tudo o que o gancho de carne trazia para o alto, o sacerdote tomava para si. Assim faziam em Siló a todos os israelitas que para lá iam.
15 Also, before any could make perfume with the fat, the priests young man would come in and say to the person who was sacrificing, Come! give flesh for the priests roastings,for he will not take of thee boiled fleshonly raw.
15 Também antes de eles queimarem a gordura, o servo do sacerdote vinha, e dizia ao homem que sacrificava: Dá carne para o sacerdote assar; pois ele não terá carne mal cozida de ti, porém crua.
16 And, if the man said to him, Let them at least, make incense, at once with the fat, then take thou as much as thy soul craveth, Then said he to him, But, at once, shalt thou give it; or else, I will take it by force.
16 E se qualquer homem lhe dissesse: Que não falhem em queimar a gordura neste momento, e, depois, toma tudo quanto desejar a tua alma; ele, então, responder-lhe-ia: Não; mas tu ma darás agora; se não, tomá-la-ei à força.
17 And so it was, that, the sin of the young men, was exceeding great, before Yahweh,for men scorned the offerings of Yahweh.
17 Por isso o pecado dos jovens era muito grande diante do SENHOR; pois os homens abominavam a oferta do SENHOR.
18 But, as for Samuel, he was ministering before Yahweh,a boy girded with an ephod of linen.
18 Porém, Samuel ministrava diante do SENHOR, sendo criança, cingido com um éfode de linho.
19 Also, a little robe, used his mother to make for him, and bring it up to him, from year to year,when she came up with her husband, to offer the sacrifice of the year.
19 Ademais, a sua mãe lhe fazia uma pequena túnica, e lha trazia de ano a ano, quando ela subia com o seu marido para oferecer o sacrifício anual.
20 And Eli used to bless Elkanah and his wife, and to sayYahweh give thee seed of this woman, instead of the loan that hath been lent unto Yahweh. So they went their way to his own place.
20 E Eli abençoava Elcana e sua esposa, e dizia: Que o SENHOR te dê semente desta mulher pelo empréstimo que é emprestado ao SENHOR. E eles seguiam para a sua própria casa.
21 And Yahweh visited Hannah, and she conceived, and bare three sons, and two daughters. Thus did the boy Samuel grow up with Yahweh.
21 E o SENHOR visitou Ana, de modo que ela concebeu, e deu à luz três filhos e duas filhas. E o menino Samuel crescia diante do SENHOR.
22 Now, Eli, was very old,but he used to hear all that his sons did unto all Israel, and how they even lay with the women who did service, at the opening of the tent of meeting.
22 Ora, Eli era muito velho, e ouvia tudo o que os seus filhos faziam a todo o Israel; e como eles se deitavam com as mulheres que se reuniam à porta do tabernáculo da congregação.
23 So he said to them, Wherefore should ye do such things as these? for I keep hearing of your wicked doings, from all these people.
23 E ele lhes disse: Por que fazeis vós tais coisas? Pois ouço de todo este povo sobre o vosso mal proceder.
24 Nay, my sons! for it is no good report that I do hear: leading into transgression the people of Yahweh.
24 Não, filhos meus; pois não ouço nenhum bom relato: Vós fazeis com que o povo do SENHOR transgrida.
25 If one man sin against another, God will interpose, but, if, against Yahweh, a man sin, who will intercede, for him? But they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, for Yahweh was pleased to put them to death.
25 Se um homem pecar contra outro, o juiz o julgará; mas se um homem pecar contra o SENHOR, quem intercederá por ele? Não obstante, eles não atentaram à voz do seu pai, porque o SENHOR os mataria.
26 But, the boy Samuel, went on growing in stature, and in favour,both with Yahweh, and also with men.
26 E o menino Samuel cresceu, e tinha o favor tanto do SENHOR, como também dos homens.
27 And there came a man of God, unto Eli,and said unto himThus, saith Yahweh, I, did indeed reveal myself, unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt, as servants unto the house of Pharaoh;
27 E veio um homem de Deus até Eli, e lhe disse: Assim diz o SENHOR: Não apareci eu, claramente, à casa do teu pai, quando eles estavam no Egito, na casa de Faraó?
28 choosing him out of all the tribes of Israel unto myself, to minister as priest, to offer upon mine altar, to perfume with incense to bear an ephod before me,Therefore gave I unto the house of thy father all the altar-flames of the sons of Israel.
28 E eu o escolhi de todas as tribos de Israel para ser meu sacerdote, para ofertar sobre o meu altar, para queimar incenso, para vestir um éfode diante de mim. E eu dei à casa do teu pai todas as ofertas dos filhos de Israel feitas pelo fogo.
29 Wherefore have ye been kicking at my sacrifices, and my presents, which I commanded, to serve for a home,and shouldest have honoured thy sons more than me: fattening yourselves, with the first of every present of Israel, before me?
29 Por que chutais o meu sacrifício e a minha oferta, que tenho ordenado em minha habitação; e honras os teus filhos acima de mim, para fazer-vos gordos com a principal de todas as ofertas de Israel, meu povo?
30 Hence, the oracle of Yahweh God of Israel, I, said, that, thy house, and the house of thy father, should go to and fro in my presence, unto times age-abiding: But, now, (is the oracle of Yahweh)Be it far from me! For, them who honour me, will I honour, but, they who despise me, shall be lightly esteemed.
30 Por isso o SENHOR Deus de Israel diz: Eu disse, verdadeiramente, que a tua casa, e a casa de teu pai, deveria andar diante de mim para sempre; mas, agora, o SENHOR diz: Esteja isso longe de mim; pois honrarei os que me honram, e aqueles que me desprezam serão pouco estimados.
31 Lo! days are coming, when I will hew off thine arm, and the arm of the house of thy father,that there shall be no elder in thy house;
31 Eis que vêm dias em que cortarei o teu braço, e o braço da casa do teu pai, e não haverá sequer um velho na tua casa.
32 But thou shalt descry distress at home, in all that shall gladden Israel,and there shall not be an elder in thine own house, all the days.
32 E tu verás um inimigo na minha habitação, em toda a riqueza que Deus dará a Israel; e não haverá um velho sequer na tua casa para sempre.
33 But, any man of thine whom I may not cut off from mine altar, it shall beto consume his eyes, and grieve his soul; Howbeit, all the multitude of thy house, shall die, by the sword of men.
33 E o teu homem, a quem não cortarei do meu altar, será para consumir os teus olhos, e para afligir o teu coração; e todo o incremento da tua casa morrerá na flor de sua idade.
34 And, this, for thee is the sign, which shall come upon thy two sons, upon Hophni and Phinehas,In one day, shall they, both of them, die;
34 E isto será um sinal para ti, que sobrevirá aos teus dois filhos, sobre Hofni e Fineias: Em um dia morrerão ambos.
35 And I will raise me up a faithful priest, According to that which is in my heart and in my soul, will he do; Therefore will I build for him an assured house, and he shall go to and fro in presence of mine Anointed, all the days.
35 Eu levantarei para mim um sacerdote fiel, que fará de acordo com aquilo que está no meu coração e na minha mente; e para ele edificarei uma casa segura; e ele andará diante do meu ungido para sempre.
36 And it shall be, that, any that is left in thy house, shall come bowing down to him for a small coin of silver, and for a cake of bread, and shall say: Appoint me, I pray thee, to one of the priestly offices, that I may eat a morsel of bread.
36 E sucederá que, todo aquele que for deixado na tua casa virá e se agachará diante dele por um pedaço de prata e um bocado de pão, e dirá: Põe-me, rogo-te, em um dos ofícios dos sacerdotes, para que eu possa comer um pedaço de pão.
