1 David therefore departed thence, and escaped, into the cave of Adullam,and, when his brethren and all the household of his father heard it, they went down unto him, thither.
1 Davi, portanto, partiu dali, e fugiu para a caverna de Adulão; e quando os seus irmãos e toda a casa do seu pai ouviram isto, eles para lá desceram até ele.
2 And there gathered themselves unto himevery one that was in distress, and every one that had a creditor, and every one embittered in soul, and he came to be over them as a prince,and there were with him, about four hundred men.
2 E todos os que estavam em aflição, e todos os que estavam em dívida, e todos os que estavam descontentes juntaram-se a ele; e ele se tornou capitão sobre eles; e com ele havia cerca de quatrocentos homens.
3 And David departed thence, to Mizpah of Moab,and said unto the king of Moab, I pray thee, let my father and my mother dwell with you, until that I know what God will do for me.
3 E Davi foi dali para Mispá de Moabe; e ele disse ao rei de Moabe: Permite, rogo-te, que o meu pai e a minha mãe venham e estejam contigo, até que eu saiba o que Deus fará por mim.
4 So he set them before the king of Moab,and they dwelt with him, all the days that David was in the fortress.
4 E ele os trouxe diante do rei de Moabe; e eles habitaram com ele todo o período em que Davi esteve na fortificação.
5 Then said Gad the prophet unto DavidThou must not abide in the fortress, go and get thee into the land of Judah. So David departed, and entered the forest of Hereth.
5 E o profeta Gade disse a Davi: Não permaneças na fortificação; parte, e vai-te à terra de Judá. Então Davi partiu, e adentrou a floresta de Harete.
6 And, when Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that were with himSaul, being seated in Gibeah under the tamarisk-tree in Ramah, with his spear in his hand, and all his servants stationed by him,
6 Quando Saul ouviu que Davi, e os homens que com ele estavam, foram descobertos, (agora Saul permanecia em Gibeá, debaixo de uma árvore em Ramá, tendo em mãos a sua lança, e todos os seus servos estavam com ele);
7 then said Saul unto his servants who were stationed by himHear, I pray you, ye Benjamites! What! even to all of you, will the son of Jesse give fields and vineyards? All of you, will he appoint to be princes of thousands, and princes of hundreds?
7 então Saul disse aos seus servos que estavam junto a si: Ouvi, agora, vós benjamitas: Dará o filho de Jessé a cada um de vós campos e vinhedos, e fará de vós capitães de milhares, e capitães de centenas;
8 That ye have conspired, all of you, against me, and there is none to uncover mine ear as to the covenanting of my son with the son of Jesse? And none from among you that taketh pity upon me, and that uncovereth mine ear ,that, mine own son, hath stirred up, my servants, against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
8 para que todos vós tenhais conspirado contra mim, e não haja ninguém que me mostre que o meu filho fez um pacto com o filho de Jessé, e não haja nenhum de vós que esteja condoído por mim, ou me mostre que o meu filho incitou o meu servo contra mim, para estar deitado em espera, como neste dia?
9 Then answered Doeg the Edomitehe, being stationed near the servants of Sauland said,I saw the son of Jesse coming into Nob, unto Ahimelech son of Ahitub;
9 Então respondeu Doegue, o edomita, o qual estava colocado acima dos servos de Saul, e disse: Eu vi o filho de Jessé vindo a Nobe, a Aimeleque, o filho de Aitube.
10 Then enquired he for him of Yahweh, Provisions also, gave he unto him,and, the sword of Goliath the Philistine, gave he unto him.
10 E ele consultou o SENHOR por ele, e lhe deu provisões, e lhe deu a espada de Golias, o filisteu.
11 Then the king sent to call Ahimelech, son of Ahitub, the priest, and all the house of his fatherthe priests, who were in Nob,and they came, all of them, unto the king.
11 Então, o rei mandou chamar Aimeleque, o sacerdote, o filho de Aitube, e toda a casa de seu pai, os sacerdotes que estavam em Nobe; e eles vieram todos ao rei.
12 And Saul said, Hear, I pray thee, thou son of Ahitub! And he saidBehold me! my lord.
12 E Saul disse: Ouve, agora, tu, filho de Aitube. E ele respondeu: Aqui estou, meu senhor.
13 And Saul said unto him, Wherefore have ye conspired against me, thou, and the son of Jesse,in that thou gavest him bread and a sword, and didst enquire for him of God, that he might rise up against me, that he might lie in wait, as at this day?
13 E Saul lhe disse: Por que conspirastes contra mim, tu e o filho de Jessé, ao dar-lhe pão, e uma espada, e teres consultado a Deus por ele, para que ele se levante contra mim, a estar deitado em espera, como neste dia?
14 Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said,But who, among all thy servants, like David, is, faithful, being son-in-law to the king, and, cometh near to have audience with thee, and is, honoured in thy household?
14 Então, Aimeleque respondeu ao rei, e disse: E quem é tão fiel entre todos os teus servos quanto Davi, que é genro do rei, e vai segundo a tua ordem, e é honorável na tua casa?
15 Did I, that day, begin to enquire for him of God? Far from me! Let not the king impute to his servant such a thing, nor to any of the household of my father, for thy servant knoweth nothing of all this, less or more.
15 Comecei eu, então, a consultar Deus por ele? Esteja isto longe de mim; que o rei não impute qualquer coisa ao seu servo, nem a toda a casa do meu pai; pois o teu servo não sabia nada de tudo isso, menos ou mais.
16 And the king said: Thou shalt, die, Ahimelech,thou and all the household of thy father.
16 E o rei disse: Certamente morrerás, Aimeleque, tu e toda a casa do teu pai.
17 And the king said unto the runners that were stationed by himTurn ye round and put to death the priests of Yahweh, because, their hand also, is with David, and because they knew that he was, in flight, and unveiled not mine ear. But the servants of the king were not willing to thrust forth their hand, to fall upon the priests of Yahweh.
17 E o rei disse aos homens da infantaria que estavam junto a ele: Volvei, e matai os sacerdotes do SENHOR; porque a sua mão também está com Davi, e porque eles souberam quando ele fugiu, e não mo mostraram. Porém, os servos do rei não quiseram estender as mãos sobre os sacerdotes do SENHOR.
18 Then said the king to Doeg, Turn, thou, and fall upon the priests. So Doeg the Edomite turned, and, himself, fell upon the priests, and put to death, that day, four score and five men bearing an ephod of linen;
18 E o rei disse a Doegue: Volve tu, e cai sobre os sacerdotes. E Doegue, o edomita, volveu, e caiu sobre os sacerdotes, e matou, naquele dia, oitenta e cinco pessoas que vestiam um éfode de linho.
19 Nob also, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings,and oxen and asses and sheep, with the edge of the sword.
19 E Nobe, a cidade dos sacerdotes, ele feriu com o fio da espada, tanto homens como mulheres, crianças e lactentes, e bois, e jumentos, e ovelhas, com o fio da espada.
20 But there escaped one son of Ahimelech, son of Ahitub, whose, name, was Abiathar,and he fled after David.
20 E um dos filhos de Aimeleque, o filho de Aitube, de nome Abiatar, escapou, e fugiu atrás de Davi.
21 So Abiathar told David,that Saul had slain the priests of Yahweh.
21 E Abiatar mostrou a Davi que Saul havia matado os sacerdotes do SENHOR.
22 Then said David to AbiatharI knew, that day, when Doeg the Edomite was, there, that he would, surely tell, Saul. I, am chargeable with all the lives of the house of thy father.
22 E Davi disse a Abiatar: Eu soube naquele dia, quando Doegue, o edomita, ali esteve, que ele seguramente contaria a Saul; eu causei a morte de todas as pessoas da casa de teu pai.
23 Abide with me! do not fear, for, whoso seeketh my life, seeketh thy life,for, in safeguard, shall thou be, with me.
23 Fica tu comigo, não temas; pois aquele que busca a minha vida, busca a tua vida; mas comigo tu estarás salvo.
