¹ Do you indeed speak righteousness, you silent ones O you God-like ones? Do you judge uprightly, you sons of men?

¹ Acaso falais vós deveras, ó congregação, a justiça? Julgais retamente, ó filhos dos homens?

² No, in your heart you plot unrighteousness. You measure out the violence of your hands on the earth.

² Antes, no coração forjais iniquidades; sobre a terra fazeis pesar a violência das vossas mãos.

³ The wicked go astray from the womb. They are wayward as soon as they are born. They speak lies.

³ Alienam-se os ímpios desde a madre; andam errados desde que nasceram, proferindo mentiras.

⁴ Their poison is like the poison of a snake. It is like a deaf cobra that stops its ear.

⁵ It does not listen to the voice of charmers, no matter how skillful the charmer may be.

⁸ Let them be like a snail that melts and passes away, like the stillborn child, who has not seen the sun.

⁸ Como a lesma que se derrete, assim se vão; como o aborto de uma mulher, nunca vejam o sol.

⁹ Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns, he will sweep away the green and the burning alike.

¹⁰ The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance. He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

¹¹ Men will say: Truly there is a reward for the righteous. Truly there is a God who judges the earth.
