1 Jehovah said to Moses and Aaron:
1 E o SENHOR falou a Moisés e a Arão, dizendo:
2 »This is a requirement of the law Jehovah has commanded: Tell the Israelites to bring you a red cow that is perfect, with no defects. Also, it must never have worn a yoke.
2 Este é o estatuto da lei, que o SENHOR ordenou, dizendo: Dize aos filhos de Israel que te tragam uma novilha ruiva sem defeito e sem mancha, e que nunca tenha levado jugo.
3 »Give it to Eleazar the priest. It must be taken outside the camp and slaughtered in his presence.
3 E a dareis a Eleazar, o sacerdote; e ele a tirará para fora do acampamento, e a degolarão diante dele.
4 »Eleazar the priest will take some of the blood with his finger and sprinkle it seven times toward the front of the tent of meeting.
4 E Eleazar, o sacerdote, tomará o seu sangue com o dedo e com ele espargirá a frente do tabernáculo da congregação, e fará isso sete vezes.
5 »Then the entire cow, the skin, meat, blood, and excrement, will be burned while he watches.
5 E alguém queimará a novilha perante os seus olhos; o seu couro, e a sua carne, e o seu sangue, com o seu excremento, tudo queimará.
6 »The priest will take some cedar wood, a hyssop sprig, and some red yarn and throw them onto the burning cow.
6 E o sacerdote tomará madeira de cedro, e hissopo, e carmesim, e os lançará no meio do fogo da novilha.
7 »The priest must then wash his clothes and his body. After that, he may go into the camp. But he will be unclean until evening.
7 Então, o sacerdote lavará as suas vestes, e banhará a sua carne em água, e depois entrará no acampamento, e o sacerdote será imundo até a tarde.
8 »The person who burned the calf must also wash his clothes and his body. He will be unclean until evening.
8 E aquele que a queimou lavará as suas vestes com água, e banhará a sua carne em água, e será imundo até a tarde.
9 »A man who is clean will collect the ashes from the cow and put them in a clean place outside the camp. They will be kept by the congregation of Israel and used in the water that takes away uncleanness. The cow is an offering for sin.
9 E um homem que estiver limpo recolherá as cinzas da novilha e as porá fora do acampamento, em um lugar limpo, e ali serão mantidas para a congregação dos filhos de Israel, para a água da separação; isto é uma purificação pelo pecado.
10 »The one who collected the ashes must wash his clothes. He remains unclean until evening. This regulation is valid for all time to come, both for the Israelites and for the foreigners living among them.
10 E o que recolheu as cinzas da novilha lavará as suas vestes e será imundo até a tarde; isto será estatuto perpétuo para os filhos de Israel e para o estrangeiro que peregrinar no meio deles.
11 »Those who touch a corpse are ritually unclean for seven days.
11 Aquele que tocar no cadáver de algum homem, será imundo durante sete dias.
12 »They must purify themselves with the water for purification on the third day and on the seventh day. Then they will be clean. But if they do not purify themselves on both the third and the seventh day, they will not be clean.
12 E se purificará com isto no terceiro dia, e no sétimo dia, estará limpo; mas se não se purificar no terceiro dia, não estará limpo no sétimo dia.
13 »Those who touch a corpse and do not purify themselves remain unclean. This is because the water for purification has not been thrown over them. They defile Jehovahs tent, and they will no longer be considered Gods people.
13 Todo aquele que tocar no cadáver de algum homem que esteja morto, e não se purificar, contaminará o tabernáculo do SENHOR; e essa alma será destruída de Israel, porque a água da separação não foi espargida sobre ele; imundo será, e a sua imundície estará ainda sobre ele.
14 »Here are your instructions for when a person dies in a tent: Everyone who goes into the tent and everyone who is in the tent will be unclean for seven days.
14 Esta é a lei, quando morrer algum homem em alguma tenda; todo aquele que entrar na tenda, e todo aquele que estiver na tenda, será imundo sete dias.
15 »Every container without a lid fastened on it is unclean.
15 E todo o vaso aberto, sobre o qual não houver uma coberta, será imundo.
16 »Whoever is outdoors and touches someone who was killed or has died naturally or anyone who touches a human bone or a grave will be unclean for seven days.
16 E todo aquele que no campo tocar em alguém que for morto pela espada, ou um cadáver, ou um osso de um homem, ou uma sepultura, será imundo sete dias.
17 »Do this for people who become unclean from touching a dead body. Put some of the ashes from the red cow that was burned as an offering for sin into a container. Then pour fresh water on them.
17 E, para uma pessoa imunda, tomarão as cinzas da novilha queimada, para purificação do pecado, e porão, com elas, água corrente em um vaso.
18 »A person who is clean will take a sprig of hyssop, dip it in the water, and sprinkle the tent, all the furnishings, and all the people who were in the tent with the dead body. He must also sprinkle any person who has touched a human bone or a grave and any person who has touched someone who has been killed or who has died naturally.
18 E uma pessoa limpa tomará hissopo, e o mergulhará na água, e a espargirá sobre aquela tenda, e sobre todos os vasos, e sobre as pessoas que ali estiverem, e também sobre aquele que tocar um osso, ou em alguém que foi morto, ou que faleceu, ou uma sepultura.
19 »A person who is clean will sprinkle these types of unclean people on the third day and the seventh day. On the seventh day the clean person will finish taking away their sins. Then they must wash their clothes and bodies. In the evening they will be clean.
19 E a pessoa limpa, no terceiro e no sétimo dia espargirá sobre o imundo, e no sétimo dia, ele se purificará, e lavará suas vestes, e se banhará em água, e estará limpo à tarde.
20 »If the person who becomes unclean does not have his sin taken away, that person must be excluded from the assembly. He has made the holy place of Jehovah unclean. The water to take away uncleanness was not sprinkled on him. He is unclean.
20 Mas o homem que estiver imundo e não se purificar, essa alma será destruída do meio da congregação; porque contaminou o santuário do SENHOR; a água da separação não foi espargida sobre ele, e ele será imundo.
21 »This will be a long lasting law for them. He who sprinkles the water to take away uncleanness must wash his clothes. He who touches this water will be unclean until evening.
21 E isto será um estatuto perpétuo para eles; e aquele que espargir a água da separação deverá lavar as suas vestes; e aquele que tocar a água da separação será imundo até a tarde.
22 »Anything that an unclean person touches becomes unclean. The person who touches it will be unclean until evening.«
22 E tudo o que a pessoa imunda tocar também será imundo; e a alma que a tocar será imunda até a tarde.
