Jeremias 45
New Simplified Bible (NSB) vs ARC
1 This is the message that the prophet Jeremiah spoke to Baruch, son of Neriah. Baruch wrote these things on a scroll book as Jeremiah dictated them during the fourth year that Jehoiakim, son of Josiah, was king of Judah. Jeremiah said:
1 Palavra que falou Jeremias, o profeta, a Baruque, filho de Nerias, escrevendo ele aquelas palavras, num livro, da boca de Jeremias, no ano quarto de Jeoaquim, filho de Josias, rei de Judá, dizendo:
2 »This is what Jehovah the God of Israel says to you, Baruch:
2 Assim diz o Senhor , Deus de Israel, acerca de ti, ó Baruque:
3 You said: »I am so miserable! Jehovah has added grief to my pain. I am worn out from groaning. I cannot find any rest.«
3 Disseste: Ai de mim agora, porque me acrescentou o Senhor tristeza à minha dor! Estou cansado do meu gemido e não acho descanso.
4 »Say this to Baruch: This is what Jehovah says: »I will tear down what I have built. I will uproot what I have planted throughout the earth.
4 Isto lhe dirás: Assim diz o Senhor : Eis que o que edifiquei eu derribo e o que plantei eu arranco, e isso em toda esta terra.
5 »Are you looking for great things for yourself? Do not look for them.« »I am going to bring disaster on all people!« Declares Jehovah, »But wherever you go I will let you escape with your life.«
5 E procuras tu grandezas? Não as busques, porque eis que trarei mal sobre toda a carne, diz o Senhor ; a ti, porém, darei a tua alma por despojo, em todos os lugares para onde fores.
