Isaías 31
New Simplified Bible (NSB) vs NAA
1 How horrible it will be for those who go to Egypt for help! Cursed are those who rely on very strong warhorses, who depend on many chariots. They do not look to the Holy One of Israel. They do not seek Jehovah.
1 Ai dos que descem ao Egito em busca de socorro e se estribam em cavalos! Eles confiam em carros de guerra, porque são muitos, e em cavaleiros, porque são fortes, mas não olham para o Santo de Israel, nem buscam o
2 He is wise and can bring about disaster. He does not take back his words. He rises against wicked people and against those who help troublemakers.
2 Porém o Senhor também é sábio e faz vir a desgraça; ele não volta atrás naquilo que falou. Ele se levantará contra a casa dos malfeitores e contra os que ajudam os que praticam o mal.
3 The Egyptians are humans, not God. Their horses are flesh and blood, not spirit. Jehovah will stretch out his powerful hand extend his power. The one who gives help will stumble. The one who receives help will fall. Both will die together.
3 Pois os egípcios são homens e não deuses; os seus cavalos são carne, e não espírito. Quando o tropeçará aquele que ajuda e cairá quem é ajudado; e juntos todos perecerão.
4 This is what Jehovah said to me: »A lion, even a young lion, growls over its prey when a crowd of shepherds is called to fight it. It is not frightened by their voices or disturbed by the noise they make. So Jehovah of Hosts will come to fight for Mount Zion and on its hill.
4 Porque assim me disse o Senhor : “Como o leão e o filhote do leão rugem sobre a sua presa e, ainda que se convoque contra eles grande número de pastores, não se espantam com o barulho nem se apavoram com os gritos desses pastores, assim o descerá para lutar sobre o monte Sião e sobre a sua colina.
5 »Jehovah of Hosts will defend Jerusalem like a hovering bird. He will defend it and rescue it. He will pass over it and protect it.«
5 Como uma ave paira sobre o seu ninho, assim o defenderá Jerusalém; ele a defenderá e salvará, poupará e livrará.”
6 Return you people of Israel, return to the one whom you have so violently rebelled against.
6 Ó filhos de Israel, voltem-se para aquele contra quem vocês se rebelaram tão profundamente.
7 When that day comes, all of you will reject the worthless gods of silver and gold, the idols that your sinful hands have made.
7 Pois, naquele dia, cada um de vocês jogará fora os ídolos de prata e os ídolos de ouro que as suas mãos pecaminosas fabricaram.
8 Then Assyrians will be killed with a sword not made by human hands. The swords not made by human hands will destroy them. They will flee from battle, and their young men will be made to do forced labor.

9 »In terror they will run to their stronghold, and their officers will be frightened at the sight of the battle flag.« Jehovah declares this. His fire light is in Zion and his furnace is in Jerusalem.
