1 »As for you, son of man, take a sharp sword. Take and use it as a barber's razor to shave your head and beard. Then take scales for weighing and divide the hair.
1 E tu, ó filho do homem, toma uma faca afiada; como navalha de barbeiro a tomarás e a farás passar por cima da tua cabeça e da tua barba; então, tomarás uma balança e repartirás o cabelo.
2 »You should burn one-third of the hair in the fire at the center of the city when the siege is over. Take one third and strike it with the sword all around the city. The remaining one third you shall scatter to the wind. I will unsheathe a sword behind them.
2 A terça parte queimarás no fogo, no meio da cidade, quando se cumprirem os dias do cerco; então, tomarás outra terça parte e feri-la-ás com uma espada ao redor dela; e a outra terça parte espalharás ao vento; porque desembainharei a espada atrás deles.
3 »Take also a few strands of hair from them and bind them in the edges of your robes.
3 Também tomarás deles um pequeno número e atá-los-ás nas bordas da tua veste.
4 »Take again some of them and throw them into the fire and burn them in the fire. Fire will spread from there to all the house of Israel.
4 E ainda destes tomarás alguns, e os lançarás no meio do fogo, e os queimarás no fogo; e dali sairá um fogo contra toda a casa de Israel.
5 »This is what the Lord Jehovah says: This is Jerusalem. I have set her at the center of the nations with countries all around her.
5 Assim diz o Senhor Jeová : Esta é Jerusalém; pu-la no meio das nações e terras que estão ao redor dela.
6 »She has rebelled against my ordinances more wickedly than the nations and against my statutes more than the lands that surround her. My people have rejected my ordinances and have not walked in my statutes.
6 Ela, porém, mudou em impiedade os meus juízos mais do que as nações, e os meus estatutos mais do que as terras que estão ao redor dela; porque rejeitaram os meus juízos e não andaram nos meus preceitos.
7 »Therefore, Jehovah says: You have more turmoil than the nations that surround you. You have not walked in my statutes, nor observed my ordinances, nor observed the ordinances of the nations that surround you.
7 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor Jeová : Porque multiplicastes as vossas maldades mais do que as nações que estão ao redor de vós, nos meus estatutos não andastes, nem fizestes os meus juízos, nem ainda procedestes segundo os juízos das nações que estão ao redor de vós;
8 »Therefore, the Lord Jehovah says: Behold, I, even I, am against you! I will execute judgments against you in the sight of the nations.
8 por isso, assim diz o Senhor Jeová : Eis que eu, sim, eu mesmo, estou contra ti; e executarei juízos no meio de ti aos olhos das nações.
9 »Because of all your abominations, I will do among you what I have not done before, and the like of which I will never do again.
9 E farei em ti o que nunca fiz e o que jamais farei, por causa de todas as tuas abominações.
10 »Fathers will eat their sons among you and sons will eat their fathers. I will execute judgments against you and scatter your entire remnant to every wind.«
10 Portanto, os pais devorarão os seus filhos no meio de ti, e os filhos devorarão os seus pais; e executarei em ti juízos, espalharei todo o remanescente a todos os ventos.
11 »As I live, declares the Lord Jehovah, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable idols and with all your abominations I will withdraw, and my eye will have no pity and I will not spare you.
11 Portanto, tão certo como eu vivo, diz o Senhor Jeová , pois que profanaste o meu santuário com todas as tuas coisas detestáveis e com todas as tuas abominações, também eu te diminuirei, e o meu olho te não perdoará, nem também terei piedade.
12 »One third of your people will die by plague or be consumed by famine! One third will fall by the sword! One third I will scatter to every wind! I will unsheathe a sword behind them war will follow them.
12 Uma terça parte de ti morrerá da peste e se consumirá à fome no meio de ti; e outra terça parte cairá à espada em redor de ti; e a outra terça parte espalharei a todos os ventos e a espada desembainharei atrás deles.
13 »I will unleash my anger. I will use my fury against you, and I will get revenge. When my fury is unleashed against you, you will know that I, Jehovah, spoke to you with all my zeal.
13 Assim, se cumprirá a minha ira, e satisfarei neles o meu furor e me consolarei; e saberão que sou eu, o Senhor , que tenho falado no meu zelo, quando cumprir neles o meu furor.
14 »I will turn you into a wasteland and an object of ridicule among the nations around you and in the presence of everyone who passes by you.
14 E te porei em assolação e como opróbrio entre as nações que estão em redor de ti, aos olhos de todos os que passarem.
15 »The nations that are around you will ridicule you and laugh at you. When I punish you because of my anger, fury, and fierce revenge, you will become something ridiculed and something horrible. I, Jehovah, have spoken.
15 E o opróbrio e a infâmia servirão de instrução e espanto às nações que estão em redor de ti, quando eu executar em ti juízos com ira e com furor, em furiosos castigos. Eu, o Senhor , falei.
16 »When I shoot my destructive arrows of famine at you, I will shoot to kill you. I will bring more and more famine into your land. I will cut off your food supply.
16 Quando eu enviar as terríveis flechas da fome contra eles para sua destruição, as quais eu mandarei para vos destruir, então, aumentarei a fome sobre vós e tornarei instável o sustento do pão.
17 »I will send famine and wild animals against you. They will rob you of your children. I will send plagues, violence, and wars to kill you. I, Jehovah, have spoken!«
17 E enviarei sobre vós a fome e más bestas que te desfilharão; e a peste e o sangue passarão por ti; e trarei a espada sobre ti. Eu, o Senhor , falei.
