1 Out of the depths I cry to you, LORD;
1 Canção gradual. Desde as profundezas clamei a ti, ó SENHOR.
2 Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.
2 Senhor, ouve a minha voz; estejam atentos os teus ouvidos à voz das minhas súplicas.
3 If you, LORD, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?
3 Se tu, SENHOR, marcares as iniquidades, ó Senhor, quem ficará de pé?
4 But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.
4 Mas há perdão contigo, para que sejas temido.
5 I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.
5 Eu espero pelo SENHOR; minha alma espera, e na sua palavra eu tenho esperança.
6 I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.
6 A minha alma espera pelo Senhor, mais do que aqueles que vigiam pela manhã; eu digo: Mais do que aqueles que vigiam pela manhã.
7 Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.
7 Espere Israel no SENHOR, pois no SENHOR há misericórdia, e com ele há plena redenção.
8 He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.
8 E ele remirá a Israel de todas as suas iniquidades.
