¹ Deus é conhecido em Judá; grande é o seu nome em Israel.

² His tabernacle is also in Salem;His dwelling place in Zion.

² Em Salém está o seu tabernáculo, e, em Sião, a sua morada.

³ There he broke the flaming arrows of the bow,the shield, and the sword, and the weapons of war.Selah.

³ Ali, despedaçou ele as flechas, o escudo, a espada e a batalha.

⁴ Glorious are you, and excellent,more than mountains of game.

⁵ Valiant men lie plundered,they have slept their last sleep.None of the men of war can lift their hands.

⁵ Os corajosos foram despojados; jazem a dormir o seu sono, e nenhum dos valentes pode valer-se das próprias mãos.

⁶ At your rebuke, God of Jacob,both chariot and horse are cast into a deep sleep.

⁶ Ante a tua repreensão, ó Deus de Jacó, carros de guerra e cavalos foram lançados num sono profundo.

⁷ You, even you, are to be feared.Who can stand in your sight when you are angry?

⁷ Tu, sim, tu és terrível; se estás irado, quem pode permanecer na tua presença?

⁸ You pronounced judgment from heaven.The earth feared, and was silent,

⁸ Desde os céus fizeste ouvir o teu juízo; a terra tremeu e se aquietou,

⁹ when God arose to judgment,to save all the afflicted ones of the earth.Selah.

⁹ quando Deus se levantou para julgar e salvar todos os humildes da terra.

¹⁰ Surely the wrath of man praises you.The survivors of your wrath are restrained.

¹⁰ Pois até a ira humana há de louvar-te; e da ira restante te cingirás.

¹¹ Make vows to the Lord your God, and fulfill them!Let all of his neighbors bring presents to him who is to be feared.

¹¹ Façam votos ao Senhor , seu Deus, e tratem de cumpri-los; todos os que o rodeiam tragam presentes àquele que deve ser temido.

¹² He will cut off the spirit of princes.He is feared by the kings of the earth.

¹² Ele acaba com o orgulho dos príncipes; ele é tremendo para os reis da terra.
