1 For the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A contemplation by David, when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, "Isn't David hiding himself among us?"Save me, God, by your name.Vindicate me in your might.
1 Salva-me, ó Deus, pelo teu nome; defende-me pelo teu poder.
2 Hear my prayer, God.Listen to the words of my mouth.
2 Ouve a minha oração, ó Deus; escuta as minhas palavras.
3 For strangers have risen up against me.Violent men have sought after my soul.They haven't set God before them.Selah.
3 Estrangeiros me atacam; homens cruéis querem matar-me, homens que não se importam com Deus. Pausa
4 Behold, God is my helper.The Lord is the one who sustains my soul.
4 Certamente Deus é o meu auxílio; é o Senhor que me sustém.
5 He will repay the evil to my enemies.Destroy them in your truth.
5 Recaia o mal sobre os meus inimigos! Extermina-os por tua fidelidade!
6 With a free will offering, I will sacrifice to you.I will give thanks to your name, Lord, for it is good.
6 Eu te oferecerei um sacrifício voluntário; louvarei o teu nome, ó Senhor, porque tu és bom.
7 For he has delivered me out of all trouble.My eye has seen triumph over my enemies.
7 Pois ele me livrou de todas as minhas angústias, e os meus olhos contemplaram a derrota dos meus inimigos.
