¹ Praise Yah!Praise the Lord, my soul.

² While I live, I will praise the Lord.I will sing praises to my God as long as I exist.

² Louvarei o Senhor por toda a vida. Salmodiarei ao meu Deus enquanto existir.

³ Do not put your trust in princes,each a son of man in whom there is no help.

⁴ His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth.In that very day, his thoughts perish.

⁵ Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,whose hope is in the Lord, his God:

⁶ who made heaven and earth,the sea, and all that is in them;who keeps truth forever;

⁶ É esse o Deus que fez o céu e a terra, o mar e tudo o que eles contêm; que é eternamente fiel à sua palavra,

⁷ who executes justice for the oppressed;who gives food to the hungry.The Lord frees the prisoners.

⁷ que faz justiça aos oprimidos, e dá pão aos que têm fome. O Senhor livra os cativos;

⁸ The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.The Lord raises up those who are bowed down.The Lord loves the righteous.

⁸ o Senhor abre os olhos aos cegos; o Senhor ergue os abatidos; o Senhor ama os justos.

⁹ The Lord preserves the foreigners.He upholds the fatherless and widow,but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.

⁹ O Senhor protege os peregrinos, ampara o órfão e a viúva; mas entrava os desígnios dos pecadores.

¹⁰ The Lord will reign forever;your God, O Zion, to all generations.Praise Yah!

¹⁰ O Senhor reinará eternamente; ó Sião, teu Deus é rei por toda a eternidade.
