1 This is now my second letter to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your pure minds by putting you in remembrance.

2 I want you to recollect the words that were foretold by the holy prophets, and the command of your Lord and Saviour, given you through your apostles.
2 Marasika God ana dinab kakafiyih kwa a tur hi’owen kwanonowar i a notamaim nama. Naatu ata Regah Jesu Keriso naatu ata Baiyawasenayan ana tarbaiyunen tur i kwa a turabarayah a tur hi’owen.
3 Know this first, that mockers will come in the last days, in their mockery, men who walk the way of their own lusts
3 Abistan God ana dinab sabuw tur wantoro’ot hi’u’uwit i kwananot nukwarimaim kwanayai. Mar yomanin sabuw afa boro wanawanatamaim hinatit. Nati sabuw hai yawas i kakafinamaim ebobonawiyih. Kwa isa boro hini’i’iyab men kafaita.
4 and say, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the day that our fathers fell asleep everything continues as it was from the beginning of the creation."
4 Naatu i boro hinao, “Regah eomatani namih rauw eo’o i men namih? Kwa’itin aki uwai’inah marasika himomorob boro’ika hai hubemaim ti’inu’in. God marasika tafaram sinaf matar inu’in ana’itinin ta’imon na’atuka ti’inu’in.”
5 For they willingly ignore the fact that there were heaven, from of old, and an earth formed out of water and through water, by the word of God;
5 Baise aneika God ana obaiyunen turamaim eo, mar tafaram himatar. Harew ouyate yen tafaram matar naatu tafaram i harewamaim matar.
6 and that by the same means the world which then existed was destroyed by a deluge of water.
6 Tafaram atamanin harew tit tafaram etei bufut naatu anababatun gurus sawar.
7 But the heavens and earth that now are, by the same word of God, have been reserved for fire, and are being kept for the Day of Judgment, and for the destruction of ungodly men.
7 God obaiyunen tur ta’imonaban eo, mar tafaram iti boun tama’am kaifen ya ti’inu’in boro wairafamaim na’afuyar. Sabuw iyab men God ana kokokomaim tema’am boro nibabatiyih. Nati ana veya’amaim tafaram iti boun tama’am God boro nagurus.
8 Do not forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
8 Baise au ofonah, iti sawar ta’imon i men nuhinaburumih. Regah God, veya ta’imon ebiyab ana’itinin i boun 1,000 na’atube naatu kwamur 1,000 ebiyab i boun veya ta’imon na’atube.
9 The Lord does not loiter over his promise, as some men esteem loitering; but he is longsuffering toward you, not purposing that any should perish, but that all should pass on to repentance.
9 Imih Regah Jesu Keriso ana na isan eo’omatanit i men erurubirabir. Boun sabuw afa sinafumih tema tirurubirabir imaibo tenot tisisinaf na’atube’emih. 10 But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief; and on that Day the heavens will vanish with a crash, the heavenly bodies will melt with fervent heat, and the earth and all its works will be burned up.
10 Baise Regah Jesu Keriso ana veya natitit it boro tana’ororsa’ir bainowan mowan etitit na’atube. Nati gagub narab nafufudir ana veya mar na’am saniwa’an naatu sawar maramaim boro etei na’am hinan. 11 Now since all things are in the process of dissolution, what kind of men ought you to be, in all holy living and piety;
11 Imih ana efamaim kwanama. Anayabin God tafaram boro nagurus isan kwanakakaf a yawas etei mutuforomo kwanama.
12 while you look for and hasten the coming of the Day of God. At its coming the heavens, being on fire, will be dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt with fervent heat.
12 Na’atube kwanama’am God ana veya boro saife’ewat natit. Sawar etei maramaim tema’am boro wairaf nikubar na’arah naatu sawar etei boro ana towa’amaim na’arah nadew.
13 But according to his promise, we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness makes her dwelling.
13 Baise abistan God it eo’omatanit, isan tama tanuwanuw nati i mar tafaram boubun, ma gewas yawas roumutufuren ana efan ata baremih tanab tanama.
14 And so, beloved, since you are looking for these things, continually give diligence that you may be found in peace, unspotted and blameless in his sight.
14 Isan imih, au ofonah, kwa aur kato en, ubar en naatu tufuwamaim kwanama kwanakakaif Regah ana Veya nab nanan gewasinamaim kwanama’am nabuwi.
15 Regard our Lords longsuffering as salvation; even as our dear brother Paul also wrote to you, according to the wisdom given to him.

16 It is the same in all his letters when he speaks of these things. There are indeed some things in his letters hard to understand, which the ignorant and the shifty wrest, as also they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

17 Do you therefore, beloved, because you know these things beforehand, be on your guard lest you be led astray by the error of the wicked, and so fall from your own stedfastness.
17 Baise au ofonah, kwa marasika kwaso’ob. Matatoniwa’an, nati baifufuwen bai’obaibiyenayah isah, saise kwa boro men hai bai’obaiyen kakafihimaim kwa nabonawiyi yawas ana ef kwanarusa’irimih.
18 But grow continually in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and unto the Day of Eternity, Amen.
