Montgomery New Testament (MONT) vs BKJ
1 It is of what has existed from the beginning, of what we have listened to, of what we have seen with our own eyes, of what we have witnessed and touched with our own heads, it is concerning the Logos of Life that we are now writing.
1 O que era desde o princípio, o que ouvimos, o que vimos com os nossos olhos, o que temos contemplado, e as nossas mãos apalparam, da Palavra da vida
2 And the Life was made visible, and we have seen it and are bearing witness, and are bringing you word of that Eternal Life which was face to face with the Father and was made visible to us.
2 (Porque a vida foi manifestada, e nós a vimos, e fomos testemunhas, e vos anunciamos a vida eterna, que estava com o Pai, e foi manifestada a nós);
3 It is what we have seen and heard that we are announcing to you, in order that you also may have partnership with us; and our partnership is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
3 O que vimos e ouvimos vos declaramos, para que também possais ter comunhão conosco; e verdadeiramente a nossa comunhão é com o Pai, e com seu Filho Jesus Cristo.
4 And we are writing all this to you that our joy may be complete.
4 E estas coisas vos escrevemos, para que a vossa alegria possa ser completa.
5 This, then, is the message that we have heard from him, and are announcing to you, that God is light, and no darkness what ever is in him.
5 Então esta é a mensagem que dele ouvimos, e vos declaramos: Que Deus é luz, e não há nele treva alguma.
6 If we say, "We have partnership with Him," when we are passing our life in the darkness, we are lying and are not doing the truth.
6 Se nós dissermos que temos comunhão com ele, e andarmos em trevas, mentimos, e não praticamos a verdade.
7 But is we are passing our life in the light, as he is in the light, we ever have partnership with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ is cleansing us from every sin.
7 Mas se andamos na luz, assim como ele está na luz, temos comunhão uns com os outros, e o sangue de Jesus Cristo, seu Filho, nos purifica de todo o pecado.
8 If we say, "We have no sin," we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.
8 Se dissermos que não temos nenhum pecado, enganamo-nos a nós mesmos, e a verdade não está em nós.
9 But if we confess our sins, faithful is he and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all wrong-doing.
9 Se confessarmos os nossos pecados, ele é fiel e justo para nos perdoar os pecados, e nos purificar de toda a injustiça.
10 If we say, "We have not sinned," we are making him a liar, and his word is not in us.
10 Se dissermos que não pecamos, fazemo-lo um mentiroso, e a sua palavra não está em nós.
