¹ To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; guard my life from fear of the enemy.

¹ Ouve, ó Deus, a minha voz na minha oração; livra a minha vida do horror do inimigo.

² Hide me from the council of those who injure, from the rebelling of the workers of iniquity,

² Esconde-me do secreto conselho dos maus e do tumulto dos que praticam a iniquidade,

³ who sharpen their tongue like a sword, they tread their arrows, [even] a bitter word,

³ os quais afiaram a sua língua como espadas; e armaram, por suas flechas, palavras amargas,

⁴ so that they may shoot at the blameless one from a lurking place; suddenly they shoot at him, and fear not.

⁴ para de lugares ocultos atirarem sobre o que é reto; disparam sobre ele repentinamente e não temem.

⁵ They encourage themselves [in] an evil plan; they talk of laying snares secretly; they say, Who shall see them?

⁵ Firmam-se em mau intento; falam de armar laços secretamente e dizem: Quem nos verá?

⁶ They search out injustice, [saying], We have finished hiding a hidden plot. Yea, the inward part of man and [the] heart [are] deep.

⁶ Fazem indagações maliciosas, inquirem tudo o que se pode inquirir; até o íntimo de cada um e o profundo coração.

⁷ But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly they shall be wounded.

⁷ Mas Deus disparará sobre eles uma seta, e de repente ficarão feridos.

⁸ So they shall be confounded; their tongue [falls] on themselves; everyone seeing them shall flee.

⁸ Assim, eles farão com que a sua língua se volte contra si mesmos; todos aqueles que os virem, fugirão.

⁹ And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall in wisdom think of His doing.

⁹ E todos os homens temerão e anunciarão a obra de Deus; e considerarão prudentemente os seus feitos.

¹⁰ The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.

¹⁰ O justo se alegrará no Senhor e confiará nele; e todos os retos de coração se regozijarão.
