¹ To the Chief Musician. For the sons of Korah. A Song For the Virgins. God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

¹ Deus é o nosso refúgio e fortaleza, socorro bem presente na angústia.

² Therefore we will not fear when the earth changes, and when mountains [are] slipping into the heart of the seas.

² Pelo que não temeremos, ainda que a terra se mude, e ainda que os montes se projetem para o meio dos mares;

³ Let its waters roar and foam; let the mountains shake with the swelling of it. Selah.

³ ainda que as águas rujam e espumem, ainda que os montes se abalem pela sua braveza.

⁴ [There is] a river, its channels gladden the city of God glad, the holy [place] of the tabernacles of the Most High.

⁴ Há um rio cujas correntes alegram a cidade de Deus, o lugar santo das moradas do Altíssimo.

⁵ God [is] in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God shall help her at the turning of the morning.

⁵ Deus está no meio dela; não será abalada; Deus a ajudará desde o raiar da alva.

⁶ The nations raged, the kingdoms were shaken; He uttered His voice, the earth melted.

⁶ Bramam nações, reinos se abalam; ele levanta a sua voz, e a terra se derrete.

⁷ The LORD of hosts [is] with us; the God of Jacob [is] our refuge. Selah.

⁷ O Senhor dos exércitos está conosco; o Deus de Jacó é o nosso refúgio.

⁸ Come, behold the works of the LORD, who makes ruins on the earth;

⁸ Vinde contemplai as obras do Senhor, as desolações que tem feito na terra.

⁹ who makes wars to cease to the ends of the earth; He breaks the bow, and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots in the fire.

⁹ Ele faz cessar as guerras até os confins da terra; quebra o arco e corta a lança; queima os carros no fogo.

¹⁰ Be still, and know that I [am] God! I will be praised among the nations, I will be praised in the earth.

¹⁰ Aquietai-vos, e sabei que eu sou Deus; sou exaltado entre as nações, sou exaltado na terra.

¹¹ The LORD of hosts [is] with us; the God of Jacob [is] our refuge. Selah.
