1 To the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David, the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul; and he said: I love You, O LORD, my strength.
1 Ao Músico-chefe, Salmo de Davi, servo do SENHOR, que falou ao SENHOR as palavras desta canção no dia em que o SENHOR o livrou da mão de todos os seus inimigos, e da mão de Saul. E ele disse: Eu te amarei, ó SENHOR, minha força.
2 The LORD [is] my strength, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock; I will trust in Him; [He is] my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
2 O SENHOR é a minha rocha, e minha fortaleza e meu libertador; meu Deus, minha força, em quem eu confiarei; meu broquel, e o chifre da minha salvação, e a minha torre alta.
3 I will call on the LORD, [who is worthy] to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.
3 Invocarei o nome do SENHOR, que é digno de ser louvado; e então serei salvo de meus inimigos.
4 The sorrows of death hemmed me in, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.
4 As tristezas da morte me cercaram, e as enchentes de homens ímpios me deixaram com medo.
5 The sorrows of hell surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me.
5 As tristezas do inferno me cercaram, os laços da morte me impediram.
6 In my distress I called on the LORD, and I cried to my God; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry came before Him, into His ears.
6 Na minha aflição invoquei ao SENHOR, e clamei ao meu Deus; ele ouviu a minha voz fora de seu templo, e meu clamor chegou até diante dele, até aos seus ouvidos.
7 Then the earth shook and trembled; and the foundations of the hills moved and were shaken, because He was angry.
7 Então a terra se agitou e tremeu; os fundamentos dos montes também se moveram e se agitaram, porque ele estava irado.
8 A smoke went up out of His nostrils, and fire devoured out of His mouth; coals were kindled by it.
8 Subiu uma fumaça saída de suas narinas, e o fogo fora da sua boca devorava; carvões se acenderam por ele.
9 And He bowed the heavens and came down, and darkness [was] under His feet.
9 Ele também abaixou os céus, e desceu, e a escuridão estava debaixo de seus pés.
10 And He rode on a cherub, and flew; yea, He soared on the wings of the wind.
10 E ele montou sobre um querubim, e voou; sim, ele voou sobre as asas do vento.
11 He made darkness His secret place, His pavilion around Him, darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
11 Fez das trevas o seu lugar secreto; seu pavilhão que o cercava era de águas escuras e nuvens espessas dos céus.
12 At the brightness before Him, His dark clouds passed through, hailstones and coals of fire passed.
12 Ao resplendor que estava diante dele suas nuvens passaram, pedras de granizo e brasas de fogo.
13 The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave forth His voice; hailstones and coals of fire.
13 O SENHOR também trovejou nos céus, e o Altíssimo deu sua voz; houve pedras de granizo e brasas de fogo.
14 Yea, He sent out His arrows and scattered them; and He shot out lightnings and crushed them.
14 Sim, ele enviou suas flechas, e as espalhou; ele atirou relâmpagos, e os desconcertou.
15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were uncovered, at Your rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.
15 Então os canais de águas foram vistos, e os fundamentos do mundo foram descobertos à tua repreensão, ó SENHOR, ao sopro do fôlego das tuas narinas.
16 He sent from above, He took me, He drew me out of many waters.
16 Enviou desde o alto, ele me tomou; ele me tirou das muitas águas.
17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from those who hated me; for they were too strong for me.
17 Livrou-me do meu inimigo forte e daqueles que me odiavam, porque eram fortes demais para mim.
18 They went before me in the day of my calamity; but the LORD was my stay.
18 Eles me impediram no dia da minha calamidade; mas o SENHOR foi o meu esteio.
19 He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.
19 Ele também me trouxe para um lugar espaçoso; livrou-me, porque se comprazia em mim.
20 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands He has repaid me.
20 O SENHOR recompensou-me de acordo com a minha justiça; de acordo com a limpeza de minhas mãos ele me recompensou.
21 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
21 Porque guardei os caminhos do SENHOR, e não me apartei perversamente do meu Deus.
22 For all His judgments [were] before me, and I did not put away His statutes from me.
22 Porque todos os seus juízos estavam diante de mim, e não afastei os seus estatutos de mim.
23 I was also upright before Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity.
23 Eu também fui reto diante dele, e me guardei da minha iniquidade.
24 And the LORD has returned to me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His eyes.
24 Portanto, o SENHOR me recompensou conforme a minha justiça, conforme a limpeza de minhas mãos aos seus olhos.
25 With the merciful, You will show Yourself merciful; with an upright man You will show Yourself upright;
25 Com o misericordioso te mostrarás misericordioso; e com o homem reto te mostrarás reto;
26 with the pure You will show Yourself pure; and with the crooked You will show Yourself perverse.
26 Com o puro te mostrarás puro; e com o perverso te mostrarás indomável.
27 For You will save the afflicted people, but will bring down high looks.
27 Porque tu salvarás o povo humilde, mas os olhos altivos tu os abaterás.
28 For You will light my candle; the LORD my God will make my darkness light.
28 Porque tu acenderás a minha vela; o SENHOR meu Deus iluminará as minhas trevas.
29 For by You I have run through a troop; and by my God I have leaped over a wall.
29 Porque por ti eu corri através de uma tropa, e pelo meu Deus saltei sobre um muro.
30 [As for] God, His way [is] perfect; the Word of the LORD [is] tried; He [is] a shield to all those who trust in Him.
30 Quanto a Deus, seu caminho é perfeito; a palavra do SENHOR é provada; ele é um broquel para todos aqueles que nele confiam.
31 For who [is] God besides Jehovah? Or, who [is] a Rock except our God?
31 Porque quem é Deus, salvo o SENHOR? Ou quem é uma rocha, salvo o nosso Deus?
32 [It is] God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect.
32 É Deus que me cinge de força e torna o meu caminho perfeito.
33 He makes my feet like hinds' feet, and sets me on my high places.
33 Ele torna os meus pés como os pés das corças, e põe-me nos meus lugares altos.
34 He teaches my hands to war, so that a bow of bronze is bent by my arms.
34 Ele ensina as minhas mãos para a guerra, de maneira que um arco de aço é quebrado pelas minhas mãos.
35 You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; and Your right hand has held me up, and Your gentleness has made me great.
35 Tu também me deste o escudo da tua salvação; a tua mão direita me susteve, e a tua suavidade me fez grande.
36 You have given a wide place for my steps under me, so that my feet have not slipped.
36 Tu alargaste meus passos debaixo de mim, de modo que os meus pés não escorregaram.
37 I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; nor did I turn again until they were destroyed.
37 Persegui os meus inimigos, e os ultrapassei; nem voltei novamente até que eles fossem consumidos.
38 I have shattered them, and they cannot rise again; they have fallen under my feet.
38 Eu os feri para que eles não fossem capazes de se levantar; eles estão caídos debaixo dos meus pés.
39 For You have girded me with strength for the battle; You have humbled under me those who rose up against me.
39 Porque tu me cingiste de força para a batalha; tu subjugaste debaixo de mim aqueles que se levantaram contra mim.
40 You have also given me the neck of my enemies; so that I might destroy those who hate me.
40 Tu também me deste os pescoços dos meus inimigos para que eu pudesse destruir os que me odeiam.
41 They cried, but there [was] none to save; [even] to the LORD, but He did not answer them.
41 Clamaram, mas não houve ninguém para salvá-los; até ao SENHOR, mas ele não lhes respondeu.
42 Then I beat them small as the dust before the wind; I cast them out like the dirt in the streets.
42 Então os bati como o pó diante do vento; eu os lancei fora como a sujeira das ruas.
43 You have delivered Me from the strivings of the people; You have made Me the head of the nations; a people [whom] I have not known shall serve Me.
43 Tu me livraste das contendas do povo, e me fizeste cabeça dos pagãos; um povo que não conheci me servirá.
44 As soon as they hear of Me, they shall obey Me; the sons of strangers shall bow down to Me.
44 Assim que eles me ouvirem, me obedecerão; os estranhos se submeterão a mim.
45 The sons of strangers shall fade away and be afraid out of their strongholds.
45 Os estranhos desvanecerão, e terão medo fora de seus lugares fechados.
46 The LORD lives; and blessed [be] my rock, and let the God of my salvation be praised.
46 O SENHOR vive; e bendita seja a minha rocha, e que seja exaltado o Deus da minha salvação.
47 [It is] God who avenges me, and humbles the people under me.
47 É Deus que me vinga, e sujeita os povos debaixo de mim.
48 He delivers me from my enemies; yea, You lift me up above those who rise up against me; You have delivered me from the violent man.
48 Ele me livra de meus inimigos; sim, tu me elevas sobre aqueles que se levantam contra mim, tu me libertaste do homem violento.
49 Therefore I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the nations, and sing praises to Your name,
49 Portanto, ó SENHOR, eu darei graças a ti entre os pagãos, e cantarei louvores ao teu nome.
50 magnifying the salvations to His king, and working mercy to His anointed, to David, and to his seed forevermore.
50 Grande livramento ele dá ao seu rei; e mostra misericórdia ao seu ungido, a Davi, e à sua semente para sempre.
