1 Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.
1 Aleluia! Louvem, ó servos do Senhor, louvem o nome do Senhor!
2 Blessed [is] the name of the LORD from this time forth and forevermore.
2 Seja bendito o nome do Senhor, desde agora e para sempre!
3 From the rising of the sun to its going down, the LORD's name [is] to be praised.
3 Do nascente ao poente, seja louvado o nome do Senhor!
4 The LORD [is] high above all nations, and His glory above the heavens.
4 O Senhor está exaltado acima de todas as nações; e acima dos céus está a sua glória.
5 Who [is] like the LORD our God, who dwells on high,
5 Quem é como o Senhor, o nosso Deus, que reina em seu trono nas alturas,
6 who humbles [Himself] to behold [the] [things] in the heavens and in the earth!
6 mas se inclina para contemplar o que acontece nos céus e na terra?
7 He raises up the poor out of the dust, [and] lifts the needy out of the dunghill,
7 Ele levanta do pó o necessitado e ergue do lixo o pobre,
8 in order to make him sit with nobles, with the nobles of his people.
8 para fazê-los sentar-se com príncipes, com os príncipes do seu povo.
9 He causes the barren to dwell in the house [as] a joyful mother of sons. Praise the LORD!
9 Dá um lar à estéril, e dela faz uma feliz mãe de filhos. Aleluia!
