1 And I said, Please hear, O heads of Jacob and magistrates of the house of Israel. [Is it] not for you to know justice?
1 E disse eu: Ouvi, peço-vos, ó chefes de Jacó, e vós, príncipes da casa de Israel; não é a vós conhecer o julgamento?
2 You who hate the good and love the evil; who pull their skin off them, and their flesh from their bones;
2 A vós que odiais o bem, e amais o mal, que arrancais a pele deles, e a carne dos seus ossos;
3 who also eat the flesh of My people, and strip their skin off them. And they break their bones and chop them in pieces, like that in the pot, like those in the middle of the kettle.
3 que também comeis a carne do meu povo, e lhes arrancais a pele; lhes quebrais os ossos, e os cortais em pedaços, como para a panela e como carne dentro do caldeirão.
4 Then they shall cry to the LORD, but He will not answer them. He will even hide His face from them at that time, as they have done evil in their doings.
4 Então eles clamarão ao SENHOR, mas não os ouvirá; ele esconderá deles a sua face naquele tempo, visto que agiram mal nas suas obras.
5 So says the LORD concerning the prophets who make My people err, who bite with their teeth and cry, Peace! And whoever does not give for their mouth, they even sanctify a war against him.
5 Assim diz o SENHOR acerca dos profetas que fazem o meu povo errar, que mordem com os seus dentes e clamam a paz; e contra quem não coloca nada em suas bocas preparam guerra.
6 Therefore a night shall be to you [without] vision; and darkness [without] divining. And the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
6 Portanto noite virá sobre vós, para que não tenhais visão; e haverá trevas sobre vós, para que não adivinheis. E o sol descerá sobre os profetas, e o dia será escuro sobre eles.
7 And the seers shall be ashamed, and the diviners ashamed; yea, they shall all cover their mustache, for [there is] no answer [from] God.
7 Os videntes se envergonharão, e os adivinhadores se confundirão; sim, todos eles cobrirão os seus lábios, pois não há resposta de Deus.
8 But I am full of power by the Spirit of the LORD, and justice, and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
8 Mas verdadeiramente estou cheio do poder do Espírito do SENHOR, e de juízo e poder, para declarar a Jacó a sua transgressão, e a Israel o seu pecado.
9 Please hear this, heads of the house of Jacob, and magistrates of the house of Israel, who hate justice and pervert all equity.
9 Ouvi isto, eu peço, vós chefes da casa de Jacó, e príncipes da casa de Israel, que abominam o julgamento, e pervertem toda equidade;
10 They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
10 que constroem Sião com sangue, e a Jerusalém com iniquidade.
11 Her heads judge for a bribe, and her priests teach for pay, and her prophets divine for silver, yet they will lean on the LORD and say, [Is] not the LORD among us? No evil can come on us!
11 Os seus chefes julgam por recompensa, seus sacerdotes ensinam por salário, e os profetas adivinham por dinheiro; e ainda se encostam ao SENHOR, e dizem: Não está o SENHOR entre nós? Nenhum mal virá sobre nós.
12 Therefore, on account of you, Zion shall be plowed [as] a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house into high places of the forest.
12 Portanto, por causa de vós, Sião será lavrada como um campo, e Jerusalém se tornará um monte de pedras, e o monte desta casa como os altos lugares da floresta.
