Goti Hanjuwä Iqueqä Kukŋui (MCR) vs VC
1 Iiŋä eäŋqä-qae, he suqä huiziuŋqä wiuŋqä iqä, suqä quaŋgi iqä, wopqä ipu kukŋuinä tqä, hiŋuä quwä qŋqä, ämaqä hui äkittqiyeqäŋqä, e imäkätqäŋuwi, huätä vquatämäupŋqe.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Huätä e vquatämäupiyi, ymeqä änyä nandqä isua kŋui, aŋuiŋqänä ämeŋuwä-pa, he-pqe änyä imäŋguwi, kŋui, quvqä maeqä aŋuä äŋguänäŋä iquenyqänä mapŋqe. Goti Hanjuwä Iqu häŋä imäkäqumuatqä iuŋi, naqä yäŋänäqŋqä änimäŋga uwqäpŋqe, he aŋuä Iqu änätapqä iuŋqänä kŋuä indqäŋgpŋqe.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 He hiqä-hiuä, Naqä Iqueqä kukŋui yamwiqä ipu, Iqu suqä äŋguä Iqä-qu etaŋgqeŋqä näqŋqä eäŋuwi, ii iqäpŋqe.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
5 — ausente —
5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Nyi hikä, qui mimäkqä äŋguänäŋä miqäŋqä hŋque ätekqe.|alt="moving stone" src="C048 grey.jpg" size="col" copy="Illustrations used with permission of New Tribes Mission, 1987." ref="2:6" Goti Iqueqä bukä iuŋi, tuwaŋuä tii ätnä.
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Iŋi quuvqä eqiyätqäŋuwä iquenäuä hiŋuä iqiŋi, Hikä Iqueŋi, qui mimäkqä äŋguänä miqäŋqä-queqä. Iŋäqe, quuvqä maeqiyqä itqäŋuwä iquauŋqe, tiinji.
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Itaŋga, “Iqu hikä äqutäumäupu, qua iqi päkŋqä iqueyi.”
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Iŋäqe, he, ämaqä Goti Iqu ätekqä iutaŋä himqe. He ämaqeu Miqä Naqä Iqueuätaŋä hiqäva-imäkqä yäŋä iquenji. He ämaqä huizi hŋquenä maetqe, Goti Iqueqä ämaqä yäŋä-quenji. Goti Iqu heawiqä imda, Iqueqä we-huŋqä naqänäŋä iuŋqä, etma äpätä, he Iqueqä suqä äŋguänäŋä iuŋqä awä tqäpŋqä i emäkqe.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 He naqä-hŋqunä maeqä danä eŋuwi, täŋgaŋi he naqä-hŋqunä eäpu, Goti Hanjuwä Iqueqä ämaqä eŋä. Goti Iqueqä qeqä imäŋqeuta yätamäkqe, mämeqä danä eäŋuwi, he täŋgaŋi ii ämeŋä.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Nyi kiiŋä änyinätŋqä iquenä, he aŋä-himqä naqä-qakuä hiqä ma etaŋgi, yakuä aŋä täu äpmapu, qaŋäqŋqä iquenä, nyi he evauqumuatätmä, tii etqä. Suqä quvqä duŋqä evautä, heyaqä äwqä imŋi mäkä äqiyäuŋguwi, qu mämaequtäuqä ipŋqä, pmua imäkäqumuatpŋqe.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Quuvqä maeqiyqä iquauä hiŋuä iqiŋi, suqä äŋguänäŋä iqäpŋqe. Iŋi qu henyqe, “Suqä quvqä ii iquenjqä” etmitpqä-qe, äŋguänäŋä itqätaŋgpqä du eqämbqetaŋi, Goti Iqu äpqaŋgaŋi, qu Iqueqä yoqe haqä maepnuwäŋqä.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
14 — ausente —
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Goti Iqu, he suqä äŋguä ipiyä iquesaŋi, ämaqä kŋuä äŋguä mämeqä iquauä qui kukŋui äminyeqäŋqä äwinyätqäuä.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Goti Iqu he huiziquauqä yäpä iqä mäpmeqä, qanyinä pmeqäŋqä emäkqä-qe, “Ne qanyinä äpmeqetaŋi, suqä quvqä huitaŋä-huitaŋä imäkquatuŋqueqä” kŋuä mämeqä danä ipu, Goti Iqueqä wäuŋuä-wiyqänä pmetpŋqe.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Iiŋiŋqe, ämaqä eeqänäŋi äŋguä asänä itquepu, ämaqä quuvqä hesä anä heqiyqä duŋqä qeqä-quuvqä imda eŋgaŋguti itquepu, Goti Iquenyqä zä ipu, Iqueä yäpä iqi ipu, ämiqä iquauqä naqä iqueŋi, suqä äŋguänäŋä du itquepu, iqäpŋqe.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Wäuŋuä-wiyqä iquenä, wäuŋuä äwiyäpiyä iquauŋqä zä imäkäpu, yäpä iqi iqäpŋqe. Huäqä äumäkäpu, äŋguä etqueqä iquanä maetqe, huäqä mäumäkqä, quvqä etqueqä iquau inäŋqe.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Ämaqä hŋqu, tmi-tmiqä-tqe hiŋgi ämetäqäŋga, iqu Goti Hanjuwä Iquenyqä kŋuä ämetä, äwqä-qeiqi inyä ämeqaŋgutqe, Goti Iqu iquenyqe, yeeqä yänä.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 He quvqä iqaŋgä ämaqe ptqä epäsqaŋguwäŋga, he äwqä-qeiqi imbu meqaŋgpqe, he nätmatqä äŋgui, äsque mapniqä? Iŋäqe he suqä äŋgui qäyä imäkqaŋgä, qu tmi-tmiqä-tqä etapqaŋga, he äwqä-qeiqi imbu meqaŋgpqe, suqä iiŋqe, Goti Iqu yeeqä yänä.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Hiŋuä qumbu! Kraisi Iqu he yätamäkqä heyätŋqä, huiwä täŋä-huŋqä ämakqä-paŋi, he-pqe inä meqäŋqe, Goti Hanjuwä Iqu tääqä ae äyä etätmakqe. Iŋi he Iqu iiŋä ikqä iuta äqunäpu, asä iiŋä imäkqäpŋqe.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Iqu suqä quvqe mimäkqä itä, itaŋga kukŋuä quaŋgä-pqe matque.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Ämaqe qu Ique kukŋuä quvqä ätukuwä-qe, Iqu quŋi, kimaŋi iiŋi mätquä ikqe.|alt="Jesus before ‘Herod'" src="DN00490B.tif" size="col" loc="1 Pet 2:19-24" copy="Illustrations by Darwin Dunham, © United Bible Societies, 1989." ref="2:23" Ämaqe qu Ique kukŋuä quvqä ätukuwä-qe, Iqu quŋi, kimaŋi iiŋi mätquä ikqe. Qu Ique tmi-tmiqä-tqä vqaŋguwä-qe, Iqu qu qui iwimäkqäŋqe matqä itä, Iqueqä-kiuä, Goti Jänänä Iwäsäuqä Iqueqä hipa iu äwiŋgqe.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 — ausente —
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 — ausente —
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
