1 യേശു സാദൃശ്യകഥകളിലൂടെ പിന്നെയും അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ചു:
1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 “തന്റെ മകനുവേണ്ടി കല്യാണവിരുന്ന് ഒരുക്കിയ ഒരു രാജാവിനോട് സ്വർഗരാജ്യത്തെ ഉപമിക്കാം.
2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 ക്ഷണിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നവരുടെ അടുത്തേക്ക് രാജാവ് തന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരെ അയച്ച്, വിരുന്നുസൽക്കാരത്തിന് വരണമെന്ന അറിയിപ്പ് നൽകി. എന്നാൽ, വിരുന്നിനുള്ള ആ അറിയിപ്പ് അവർ തിരസ്കരിച്ചു.
3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 “രാജാവ് വേറെ കുറെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരെക്കൂടി വിളിച്ച്, ‘നാം ഒരുക്കുന്ന വിരുന്നുസദ്യ തയ്യാറായിരിക്കുന്നു; കാളകളെയും തീറ്റിക്കൊഴുപ്പിച്ച മൃഗങ്ങളെയും അറത്തു; സകലതും സജ്ജമായിരിക്കുന്നു. നിങ്ങൾ പോയി കല്യാണവിരുന്നിന് വരിക എന്ന് ക്ഷണിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോട് അറിയിക്കുക’ എന്നു കൽപ്പിച്ച് അയച്ചു.
4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 “എന്നാൽ, ക്ഷണിതാക്കൾ അതൊന്നും ഗൗനിക്കാതെ, ഒരുവൻ തന്റെ വയലിലേക്കും മറ്റൊരുവൻ തന്റെ വ്യാപാരത്തിനും പോയി.
5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 ശേഷിച്ചവർ രാജഭൃത്യന്മാരെ പിടിച്ച് അപമാനിക്കുകയും കൊല്ലുകയും ചെയ്തു.
6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 രാജാവ് കോപാകുലനായി. അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ സൈന്യത്തെ അയച്ച് ആ കൊലപാതകികളെ നശിപ്പിക്കുകയും അവരുടെ പട്ടണം അഗ്നിക്കിരയാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 “അതിനുശേഷം അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരോട്, ‘കല്യാണവിരുന്ന് തയ്യാറായിരിക്കുന്നു, ക്ഷണിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോ ആ ആദരവ് നഷ്ടമാക്കി.
8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 അതുകൊണ്ട് തെരുവിൽ ചെന്ന് നിങ്ങൾ കാണുന്നവരെയെല്ലാം സദ്യക്ക് ക്ഷണിക്കുക.’
9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 അങ്ങനെ രാജഭൃത്യർ പുറപ്പെട്ട് തെരുവിൽ ചെന്ന് തങ്ങൾ കണ്ട നല്ലവരും ദുഷ്ടരുമായ സകലരെയും വിളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുവന്നു. വിരുന്നുശാല അതിഥികളെക്കൊണ്ട് നിറഞ്ഞു.
10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 “അതിഥികളെ കാണാൻ രാജാവ് വിരുന്നുശാലയിലേക്ക് വന്നു. വിവാഹവസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കാത്ത ഒരാൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധയിൽപ്പെട്ടു.
11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 അദ്ദേഹം അവനോട്, ‘സ്നേഹിതാ, വിവാഹവസ്ത്രമില്ലാതെ താങ്കൾ അകത്തു കയറിയതെങ്ങനെ?’ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അയാൾക്ക് ഒരുത്തരവും പറയാൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 “അപ്പോൾ രാജാവു തന്റെ സേവകരോട്, ‘ഇയാളെ കയ്യും കാലും കെട്ടി പുറത്ത് ഘോരാന്ധകാരത്തിലേക്ക് തള്ളിക്കളയുക; അവിടെ കരച്ചിലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 “ക്ഷണിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ നിരവധി; തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോ ചുരുക്കം.”
14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 യേശുവിനെ വാക്കിൽക്കുടുക്കി അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യുന്നതിനു പരീശന്മാർ പോയി ഗൂഢാലോചന നടത്തി.

16 അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ ഹെരോദ്യരോടൊപ്പം യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു. അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തോട്, “ഗുരോ, അങ്ങ് സത്യസന്ധൻ എന്നും ദൈവികമാർഗം അങ്ങ് സത്യസന്ധമായിമാത്രം പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നും ഞങ്ങൾക്കറിയാം. അങ്ങ് പക്ഷപാതം കാണിക്കുന്നില്ല, അതുകൊണ്ട് ആർക്കും അങ്ങയെ സ്വാധീനിക്കാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല.
16 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men's person;
17 അങ്ങയുടെ അഭിപ്രായം എന്താണ്? റോമൻ കൈസർക്ക് നികുതി കൊടുക്കുന്നത് ശരിയാണോ?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
17 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
18 യേശു അവരുടെ ദുരുദ്ദേശ്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കിയിട്ട്, “കാപട്യം നിറഞ്ഞവരേ, നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കുടുക്കാൻ തുനിയുന്നതെന്തിന്?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
19 നികുതി കൊടുക്കാൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ഒരു നാണയം കാണിക്കൂ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ ഒരു റോമൻ നാണയം കൊണ്ടുവന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ കാണിച്ചു.
19 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
20 യേശു അവരോട്, “ഇതിൽ മുദ്രണം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന രൂപവും ലിഖിതവും ആരുടേത്?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
20 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
21 “കൈസറുടേത്,” അവർ മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു.
21 They say to him, Caesar's. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar's to Caesar, and what is God's to God.
22 ഇതു കേട്ട് അവർ വിസ്മയിച്ചു, അദ്ദേഹത്തെ വിട്ടുപോയി.
22 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
23 പുനരുത്ഥാനം ഇല്ലെന്നു വാദിക്കുന്ന സദൂക്യർ ഒരു ചോദ്യവുമായി അന്നുതന്നെ, യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവന്നു.

24 “ഗുരോ, മക്കൾ ഇല്ലാതെ ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ മരിച്ചാൽ അയാളുടെ വിധവയെ അയാളുടെ സഹോദരൻ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ച് ജനിക്കുന്ന സന്തതിയിലൂടെ ജ്യേഷ്ഠസഹോദരന്റെ നാമം നിലനിർത്തണം എന്നു മോശ കൽപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
24 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
25 ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഏഴ് സഹോദരന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒന്നാമൻ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചു, മക്കളില്ലാത്തവനായി മരിച്ചു. ആ വിധവ രണ്ടാമന്റെ ഭാര്യയായിത്തീർന്നു.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
26 അതുപോലെതന്നെ രണ്ടാമനും മൂന്നാമനും അങ്ങനെ ഏഴാമൻവരെ എല്ലാവർക്കും അതുതന്നെ സംഭവിച്ചു.
26 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
27 ഒടുവിൽ ആ സ്ത്രീയും മരിച്ചു.
27 And last of all the woman also died.
28 അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ പുനരുത്ഥിതജീവിതത്തിൽ ആ സ്ത്രീ ആരുടെ ഭാര്യയായിത്തീരും? ആ ഏഴുപേരും അവളെ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചിരുന്നല്ലോ.”
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
29 അപ്പോൾ യേശു അവരോട് ഇങ്ങനെ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു: “തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളും ദൈവശക്തിയും അറിയാത്തതുകൊണ്ടാണ് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് തെറ്റുപറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.
29 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
30 പുനരുത്ഥിത ജീവിതത്തിൽ മനുഷ്യർ വിവാഹംകഴിക്കുകയോ വിവാഹംകഴിപ്പിച്ചയയ്ക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല. അവർ സ്വർഗീയദൂതന്മാരെപ്പോലെ ആയിരിക്കും.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.

31 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
32 — ausente —
32 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
33 ഇതു കേട്ട ജനസഞ്ചയം, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഉപദേശത്തിൽ വിസ്മയിച്ചു.
33 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
34 യേശു സദൂക്യരെ ഉത്തരംമുട്ടിച്ചു എന്നു പരീശന്മാർ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ അവർ സംഘടിച്ചു;
34 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
35 അവരിൽ ഒരു നിയമജ്ഞൻ, യേശുവിനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്,
35 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
36 “ഗുരോ, ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും മഹത്തായ കൽപ്പന ഏതാണ്?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
36 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
37 അതിന് യേശു, “ ‘നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവിനെ നീ സമ്പൂർണഹൃദയത്താലും സമ്പൂർണാത്മാവിനാലും സമ്പൂർണമനസ്സാലും സ്നേഹിക്കണം.’
37 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
38 ഇതാകുന്നു പ്രഥമവും ഏറ്റവും മഹത്തുമായ കൽപ്പന.
38 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
39 രണ്ടാമത്തെ കൽപ്പനയും അതിനുതുല്യം: ‘നീ നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെതന്നെ നിന്റെ അയൽവാസിയെയും സ്നേഹിക്കുക.’
39 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
40 സർവന്യായപ്രമാണവും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും ഈ രണ്ട് കൽപ്പനകളിൽ അധിഷ്ഠിതമായിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്ന് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
40 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
41 ഒത്തുകൂടിയ പരീശന്മാരോട് യേശു,
41 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
42 “ക്രിസ്തുവിനെപ്പറ്റി നിങ്ങൾ എന്തു ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു? അവിടന്ന് ആരുടെ പുത്രനാണ്?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
42 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
43 “അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ, ദാവീദ് ആത്മനിയോഗത്താൽ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ ‘കർത്താവേ’ എന്നു സംബോധന ചെയ്യുന്നത് എങ്ങനെ?” യേശു അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചു.
43 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
44 “ ‘കർത്താവ് എന്റെ കർത്താവിനോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു:
44 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
45 ഇങ്ങനെ ദാവീദുതന്നെയും ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ ‘കർത്താവേ,’ എന്നു സംബോധന ചെയ്യുന്നെങ്കിൽ ക്രിസ്തു ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രൻ ആകുന്നതെങ്ങനെ?”
45 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
46 അതിനു മറുപടിനൽകാൻ ആർക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. അന്നുമുതൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് കൂടുതൽ ചോദ്യങ്ങൾ ചോദിക്കാൻ ആർക്കും ധൈര്യം വന്നില്ല.
46 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
