4 but the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible {ornament} of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.

5 For thus also the holy women who have hoped in God heretofore adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands;

7 {Ye} husbands likewise, dwell with {them} according to knowledge, as with a weaker, {even} the female, vessel, giving {them} honour, as also fellow-heirs of {the} grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.
8 സർവോപരി, നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും ഐകമത്യത്തോടെ ജീവിക്കുക എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു. സഹാനുഭൂതിയും സഹോദരസ്നേഹവും ദയയും താഴ്മയും ഉള്ളവരായിരിക്കുക.

9 not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing; but on the contrary, blessing {others}, because ye have been called to this, that ye should inherit blessing.
10 “ജീവനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുകയും
10 For he that will love life and see good days, let him cause his tongue to cease from evil and his lips that they speak no guile.
11 തിന്മയിൽനിന്ന് പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞ് സൽപ്രവൃത്തികൾ ചെയ്യുക;
11 And let him avoid evil, and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it;
12 കർത്താവിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടി നീതിനിഷ്ഠരുടെമേൽ ആകുന്നു
12 because {the} eyes of {the} Lord {are} on {the} righteous, and his ears towards their supplications; but {the} face of {the} Lord {is} against them that do evil.
13 നിങ്ങൾ നന്മചെയ്യാൻ വ്യഗ്രരാണെങ്കിൽ ആര് നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കും?
13 And who shall injure you if ye have become imitators of that which {is} good?
14 നന്മ ചെയ്തിട്ടും കഷ്ടം സഹിക്കുന്നെങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും. “നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഭീഷണികൾ ഭയപ്പെടരുത്, അത് ഓർത്ത് വിഷണ്ണരാകരുത്.”
14 E até sereis felizes, se padecerdes alguma coisa por causa da justiça!
15 നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ കർത്താവായി പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കൂ. നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള പ്രത്യാശയെ ആരെങ്കിലും ചോദ്യംചെയ്താൽ മാന്യതയോടും ബഹുമാനത്തോടും അതിന് പ്രതിവദിക്കാൻ എപ്പോഴും സന്നദ്ധരായിരിക്കണം.
15 Portanto, não temais as suas ameaças e não vos turbeis. Antes santificai em vossos corações Cristo, o Senhor. Estai sempre prontos a responder para vossa defesa a todo aquele que vos pedir a razão de vossa esperança, mas fazei-o com suavidade e respeito.
16 നല്ല മനസ്സാക്ഷി ഉള്ളവരായിരിക്കുക; അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ ക്രിസ്തുവിലുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ നല്ല പെരുമാറ്റത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് അപവാദം പറയുന്നവർ ലജ്ജിതരായിപ്പോകും.
16 Tende uma consciência reta a fim de que, mesmo naquilo em que dizem mal de vós, sejam confundidos os que desacreditam o vosso santo procedimento em Cristo.
17 നിങ്ങൾ കഷ്ടത സഹിക്കുന്നതു ദൈവഹിതമെങ്കിൽ തിന്മ ചെയ്തിട്ടു സഹിക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ, നന്മ ചെയ്തിട്ടു സഹിക്കുന്നതാണ് ഉത്തമം.
17 Aliás, é melhor padecer, se Deus assim o quiser, por fazer o bem do que por fazer o mal.
18 അതുപോലെ നീതിമാനായ ക്രിസ്തു, നീതികെട്ടവരായ നമ്മെ ദൈവത്തോട് അടുപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്, ഒരിക്കലായി നമ്മുടെ പാപംനിമിത്തം കഷ്ടത അനുഭവിച്ചു. അവിടന്ന് ശരീരത്തിൽ വധിക്കപ്പെട്ടുവെങ്കിലും ആത്മാവിൽ ജീവിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
18 Pois também Cristo morreu uma vez pelos nossos pecados - o Justo pelos injustos - para nos conduzir a Deus. Padeceu a morte em sua carne, mas foi vivificado quanto ao espírito.
19 ആത്മാവിൽ അവിടന്ന് ചെന്ന് തടവറയിലെ ആത്മാക്കളോടു പ്രസംഗിച്ചു.
19 É neste mesmo espírito que ele foi pregar aos espíritos que eram detidos no cárcere, àqueles que outrora, nos dias de Noé, tinham sido rebeldes,
20 അവരാകട്ടെ, മുമ്പ് നോഹയുടെ കാലത്ത്, പെട്ടകം നിർമിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നപ്പോൾ ദൈവം ദീർഘക്ഷമയോടെ കാത്തിരുന്നിട്ടും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുന്നറിയിപ്പുകളെ അവഗണിച്ചവരാണ്. പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ പണി പൂർത്തീകരിച്ചശേഷം, കുറച്ചുപേർ, എട്ടുപേർമാത്രം, പെട്ടകത്തിലൂടെ പ്രളയത്തിൽനിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു.
20 quando Deus aguardava com paciência, enquanto se edificava a arca, na qual poucas pessoas, isto é, apenas oito se salvaram através da água.
21 ആ ജലം സ്നാനത്തിന്റെ ഒരു പ്രതീകം! അത് നിങ്ങളുടെ ശരീരത്തിൽനിന്ന് മാലിന്യം നീക്കിക്കളയുന്നതിനല്ല; മറിച്ച്, ദൈവത്തോടു നാം ചെയ്യുന്ന നല്ല മനസ്സാക്ഷിക്കുള്ള ഉടമ്പടിയാണ്. യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ഉയിർപ്പിലൂടെയാണ് നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷ സാധ്യമാകുന്നത്.
21 Esta água prefigurava o batismo de agora, que vos salva também a vós, não pela purificação das impurezas do corpo, mas pela que consiste em pedir a Deus uma consciência boa, pela ressurreição de Jesus Cristo.
22 അവിടന്ന് സ്വർഗാരോഹണംചെയ്ത് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വലതുഭാഗത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. ദൂതന്മാരും അധികാരങ്ങളും ശക്തികളും ക്രിസ്തുവിന് അധീനമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
22 Esse Jesus Cristo, tendo subido ao céu, está assentado à direita de Deus, depois de ter recebido a submissão dos anjos, dos principados e das potestades.
