1 After many days, he returned to Capernaum; and when it was known that he was in the house,
1 E, novamente, ele entrou em Cafarnaum depois de alguns dias, e divulgou-se que ele estava na casa.
2 such a multitude flocked thither, that there was no room for them, not even near the door, and he taught them the word.
2 E imediatamente muitos se reuniram, de modo que não havia lugar para recebê-los, nem mesmo diante da porta; e ele lhes pregava a palavra.
3 A paralytic was then brought, carried by four men,
3 E vieram até ele, trazendo um paralítico, que era carregado por quatro.
4 who, not being able to come nigh him for the crowd, uncovered the place where Jesus was; and, through the opening, let down the conch, on which the paralytic lay.
4 E, eles não podendo aproximar-se dele, por causa da multidão, destaparam o telhado onde estava; e, fazendo uma abertura, eles baixaram o leito onde estava deitado o paralítico.
5 Jesus perceiving their faith, said to the paralytic, Son, your sins are forgiven you.
5 E Jesus vendo a fé deles, disse ao paralítico: Filho, teus pecados estão perdoados.
6 But certain scribes who were present, reasoned thus within themselves:
6 Mas estavam ali assentados alguns escribas, que argumentavam em seus corações:
7 How does this man speak such blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God?
7 Por que fala este homem blasfêmias? Quem pode perdoar pecados, senão Deus?
8 Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that they made these reflections, said to them, Why do you reason thus within yourselves?
8 E imediatamente quando Jesus percebeu em seu espírito que argumentavam entre si, disse-lhes: Por que argumentais sobre estas coisas em vossos corações?
9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, Your sins are forgiven, or to say, with effect, Arise, take up your couch and walk?
9 O que é mais fácil dizer ao paralítico: Teus pecados estão perdoados; ou dizer: Levanta-te, e toma o teu leito, e anda?
10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power upon the earth to forgive sins, rise, (he said to the paralytic,)
10 Mas para que possas saber que o Filho do homem tem na terra poder para perdoar pecados (ele disse ao paralítico),
11 I command you, take up your couch, and go home.
11 a ti te digo: Levanta-te, toma o teu leito, e vai pelo teu caminho para a tua casa.
12 Immediately he rose, took up the couch, and walked out before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw anything like this.
12 E, imediatamente, ele se levantou, tomou o leito e saiu à vista de todos; de modo que todos se maravilharam e glorificaram a Deus, dizendo: Nós nunca vimos algo assim!
13 Again, he went out toward the sea, and all the multitude repaired to him, and he taught them.
13 E ele saiu outra vez para a beira do mar; e toda a multidão ia ter com ele, e ele os ensinava.
14 Passing along, he saw Levi, son of Alpheus, sitting at the toll office, and said to him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
14 E, enquanto ele passava, viu Levi, filho de Alfeu, sentado na coletoria, e disse-lhe: Segue-me. E ele, levantando-se, o seguiu.
15 Now when Jesus was eating in this man's house, several publicans and sinners placed themselves at table with him and his disciples: for many of these people followed him.
15 E aconteceu que, quando Jesus reclinou-se para comer em sua casa, muitos publicanos e pecadores reclinaram-se também junto com Jesus e seus discípulos; porquanto eram muitos, e eles o seguiam.
16 The Scribes and the Pharisees, seeing him eat with publicans and sinners, said to his disciples, Wherefore does he eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
16 E quando os escribas e fariseus viram-no comendo com publicanos e pecadores, disseram aos seus discípulos: Por que ele come e bebe com publicanos e pecadores?
17 Jesus, hearing this, replied, The whole need not a physician, but the sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.
17 E Jesus ouvindo isto, disse-lhes: Os sãos não necessitam de médico, mas os que estão enfermos; eu não vim para chamar os justos, mas os pecadores ao arrependimento.
18 The disciples of John, and those of the Pharisees, accustomed to fasting, came to him and said, John's disciples, and those of the Pharisees, fast; why do not your disciples fast?
18 E os discípulos de João e os fariseus jejuavam; e vieram e disseram-lhe: Por que jejuam os discípulos de João e os dos fariseus, mas os teus discípulos não jejuam?
19 Jesus answered, Do the bridesmen fast while the bridegroom is with them? While the bridegroom is with them they do not fast.
19 E respondeu-lhes Jesus: Podem os convidados do noivo jejuar enquanto o noivo está com eles? Enquanto eles têm consigo o noivo, não podem jejuar.
20 But the days will come when the bridegroom shall be take from them; and in those days they will fast.
20 Mas dias virão em que lhes será tirado o noivo, e então hão de jejuar naqueles dias.
21 No person sews a piece of undressed cloth on an old garment; otherwise the new patch tears the old cloth, and makes a worse rent.
21 Nenhum homem põe um pedaço de pano novo em roupa velha, do contrário o remendo novo rompe o velho, e faz-se maior o rasgo.
22 No person puts new wine into old leather bottles; else the new wine bursts the bottle; and thus both the wine is split, and the bottles are rendered useless; but new wine must be put into new bottles.
22 E nenhum homem põe vinho novo em odres velhos; do contrário o vinho novo rompe os odres, e o vinho se derrama, e os odres se perdem; mas vinho novo deve ser colocado dentro de odres novos.
23 Once, when he was going through the corn on the Sabbath, his disciples began to pluck the ears of corn as they went.
23 E aconteceu que ele passou entre os campos de trigo no dia do shabat; e os seus discípulos começaram, enquanto eles iam, a arrancar espigas de trigo.
24 The Pharisees said to him, Why do they that which on the Sabbath, it is unlawful to do?
24 E os fariseus lhe disseram: Vê, por que eles estão fazendo no dia do shabat o que não é lícito?
25 He answered, Did you never read what David and his attendants did, in a strait, when they were hungry,
25 Mas ele disse-lhes: Nunca lestes o que fez Davi, quando teve necessidade e estava faminto, ele e os que com ele estavam?
26 how he entered the tabernacle of God, in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and eat the loaves of the presence, which none but the priests could lawfully eat, and gave of them also to his attendants?
26 Como entrou na casa de Deus, nos dias de Abiatar, sumo sacerdote, e comeu os pães da proposição, dos quais não era lícito comer senão aos sacerdotes, e deu também aos que com ele estavam?
27 He added, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.
27 E disse-lhes: O shabat foi feito para o homem, e não o homem para o shabat.
28 Therefore the Son of Man is master even of the Sabbath.
28 Portanto o Filho do homem é Senhor também do shabat.
