AGɄMƐ WAMBƗYA (LIK) vs VC
1 Wosoni nɛkɨ lɨkpʉmʉka lanyɛ lasɨ, ɓokoli, kʉɓɔɓɔkʉ, gʉtʉgʉ imi aka na ʉnzɨnzɨnya ɓɛngɛnɨ.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Wikoni abɛ ɓomiki nɨɓɔ ɓiɓukuti mbɨya, na mʉsasa ma molungo ma lɨngʉnʉ nɨmɔ ma lɨkpʉmʉka ko Kunzi ɓongbinga ɓasɨ. Makika komwo, makwanana kopingo na kainisono na muhukuso.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Kinili, Moɓiso ko Kunzi aɓɨkya ɓɛ: «Miboni ɓʉnza ka Mombukwono-dosu Kunzi.»
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Mukpuɗoniku Mombukwono-dosu, lɨtalʉ lo ngu nɨlɔ ɓambanzʉ ɓombimba ndɨ. Luki limoti Kunzi opunogoni ndɨ kyɛ ɨna ɓɛ a luki la ɨzangɨya kʉgbɛ.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 A ɓɛyɔ, Moɓiso ko Kunzi aɓɨkya ɓɛ:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Lɨtalʉ nɨlɔ a na lɨgabʉ lapʉ kʉgbɛ kunu ka ɓatʉ nɨɓɔ mabaya, luki limoti ka nɨɓɔ ɓakabaɨlyagʉ:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Moɓiso ko Kunzi aɓɨkyatʉ gɔnɨ ka pa yagɔgɔ ɓɛ:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Luki limoti, ma iɓunu ɓatʉ nɨɓɔ Kunzi ʉpʉnaga ndɨ, ɓokumu ka Ngama, lɨvananza lotu, lɨvananza ko Kunzi. Ɨyɨ amʉpʉnaga ndɨ kaɓɨkyaga makpʉmʉka manzanza nɨmɔ agya ndɨ. Ɨyɨ nɨnɔ amʉmakaga kopupo ko biti na kogulya ka ɓʉngbanganya kakɨ nɨɓɔ ɓanza.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ma kɛgʉ ndɨ kambwa lɨvananza ko Kunzi, luki limoti ma kʉwa mbɨya wanʉ lɨvananza kakɨ. Kunzi kɛgʉ ndɨ kamʉmɨnyɨlya kumbu kambwa, luki limoti a kʉwa mbɨya wanʉ kamʉmɨnyɨlya kumbu.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Ɓomika-mama ɓʉpakaaa, ma ɓobiko, mugi kunu kɛgʉ kʉnʉ ka ɔɓɨlɨ. Wiɓuulyoni na mʉsasa ma nzʉyɨ nɨmɔ akaʉlanana na lɨmbɛngɨ.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Wikoni na yɨgya yanza luga ka nɨɓɔ ɓakamibigʉ Kunzi, iba ɓakamʉkʉlyaga gʉtʉgʉ lɨkpumuka lanyɛ aka, ɓiki kaɨna yɨgya kunu yanza aka. Kʉwa wa gɔwa, ɓabibisa ndɛkɛ Kunzi wa igoku mino.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Huɓongoni ɓatʉ ɓakpʉkpʉ ɓasɨ ko bulya ka Mombukwono-dosu. Muɓongoni ngama mudingi nɨnɔ a na ɓʉngama kʉgʉ ka ɓatʉ ɓasɨ,

14 mʉɓanga ɓangama ɓa ɓewili. Utikoku ndɨ ɓangama ɓi nɨɓɔ kaugyogyiso ɓatʉ ɓanyɛ ɓasɨ, na kaubibiso ɓatʉ nɨɓɔ ɓagyaga lɨkpʉmʉka lanza.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 A ɓɛyɔ, Kunzi akapa ɓɛ wikoni kagya ɓɨnza iba ɓatʉ nɨɓɔ ɓakibigʉ luki na nɨɓɔ ɓa ɓungingi ɓakikonitɔgʉ na nɨlɔ ɓaɓɨkya.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Ɔɓɨlɨ kunu iki abɛ ɓatʉ nɨɓɔ ɓokulikonogoni ka ɓusunzu. Luki limoti, kʉlɨkanaga kunu kikonitɔgʉ abɛ kutuko kasʉma ɓʉnyɛ, wikoni na ɨgya abɛ ɓosunzu ko Kunzi.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Huɓongoni ɓatʉ ɓasɨ, mʉpa ɓomomonu ɓa baya, maɓanga Kunzi, maɓanga ngama mudingi.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Iɓunu ɓosunzu, huɓongoni ɓombukwono-donu ka ɓopisi ɓayasɨ. Makuɓongonitɔgʉ asɨ nɨɓɔ aka ɓɔ ɓanza na ɓotombii, luki limoti huɓongonito gɔnɨ nɨɓɔ ɓʉɗɨya.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 A ɨzangɨya kapɨlya yigyogyiso ka lɨkpʉmʉka nɨlɔ wakogyigʉ ko bulya yɨɓanga Kunzi.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 A ɓɛyɔ, makika kalya bʉma ko bulya ɓʉnyɛ nɨɓɔ mogyi, ika na ɨzangɨya tino? Luki limoti, ɓakamugyogyiso ko bulya yɨgya yanza kunu, kika kanɨ mopilyini ɓʉzʉ ɓi, nɨyɔ a na ɨzangɨya yidingi kambwa ko Kunzi.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Kunzi amʉmaka ko bulya yi nɨyɔ kyɛ Kilisito ɓɨkpɛ alya ndɨ igyogyiso ko bulya kunu. Amʉsɨlya kʉwa likingyosi ɓɛ kyɛ kpokyononi ka masɔkʉ kakɨ.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Kagyagʉ ndɨ ɓʉnyɛ, lɨkpʉmʉka la kʉɓɔɓɔkʉ gʉtʉgʉ limoti aka kopupagʉ ndɨ ka mʉnɔkʉ kakɨ.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Nɨyɔ ɓa ndɨ katʉmbwa, kigisyagʉ ndɨ, wa a ndɨ mino kaigyogyiso, kʉlananagʉ ndɨ na ɓatʉ ɓi ɓɛgɛyɔ. Luki limoti ɨsa ndɨ ka maɓɔkʉ ko Kunzi nɨnɔ akɔgɔ lɨkpʉmʉka ka ɓungbingbili.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Kilisito ɓɨkpɛ abɨnɨka ndɨ ɓʉnyɛ kusu ka nzʉyɨ kakɨ ka mʉsalaba. Agya ndɨ ɓɛyɔ kyɛ iɓusu tiki abɛ ɓamanda ko bulya ɓʉnyɛ, tiniso na ɔɓɨlɨ wongbingbili. Minisono na muhukuso ko pisi ya ɓeviɗi kakɨ.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 A ɓɛyɔ, ma ndɨ abɛ ɓakɔndɔlɔ ɓuɓungogo. Luki limoti, mbɨya wanʉ migoniku ka nɨnɔ a muɓuɓulyo kunu na nɨnɔ akamuɓuulyogo.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
