Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs NTLH
1 A psalm of Assaph. O God! nations have entered into thy heritage; they have profaned thy holy temple; they have rendered Jerusalem heaps of ruins.
1 Ó Deus, os pagãos invadiram a tua terra, e deixaram Jerusalém em ruínas.
2 They have given the dead bodies of thy servants as food unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy pious ones unto the beasts of the earth.
2 Largaram os corpos dos teus servos , dos que foram fiéis a ti, para serem comidos pelas aves e pelos animais selvagens.
3 They have shed their blood like water all round about Jerusalem: and there is no one to bury them.
3 Derramaram o sangue do teu povo como se fosse água. O sangue correu como água por toda a cidade de Jerusalém, e não sobrou ninguém para sepultar os mortos.
4 We are become a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and derision to those that are round about us.
4 As nações vizinhas nos insultam, riem e caçoam de nós.
5 How long, Lord? wilt thou be indignant for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?
5 Ó Senhor Deus, até quando ficarás Será para sempre? Será que a tua ira continuará a queimar como fogo?
6 Pour out thy fury over the nations that acknowledge thee not, and over the kingdoms that have not called on thy name.
6 Ó Deus, fica irado com as nações que não te adoram, com os povos que te rejeitam!
7 For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his dwellingplace.
7 Pois eles mataram o nosso povo e arrasaram o nosso país.
8 Oh remember not against us the iniquities of our fathers: make haste, let thy mercies come to our aid; for we are very miserable.
8 Não nos castigues por causa dos pecados dos nossos antepassados, mas tem misericórdia de nós agora, pois estamos completamente desanimados.
9 Help us, O God of our salvation, because of the glory of thy name; and deliver us, and atone for our sins, for the sake of thy name.
9 Ajuda-nos, ó Deus, nosso Salvador; por causa da tua própria honra, salva-nos e esquece os nossos pecados.
10 Wherefore shall the nations say, Where is their God? let there be made known among the nations before our eyes, the vengeance for the blood of thy servants which hath been shed.
10 Por que deixar que as outras nações perguntem: “Onde está o Deus de vocês?” Ó Deus, permite que vejamos o castigo que lhes darás por terem derramado o sangue dos teus servos!
11 Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee: according to the greatness of thy almighty power preserve thou those that are doomed to death;
11 Ouve os gemidos dos prisioneiros e, com o teu grande poder, livra os que estão condenados à morte.
12 And recompense unto our neighbors sevenfold into their bosom their defiance wherewith they have defied thee, O Lord.
12 Ó Senhor, castiga as outras nações sete vezes pelos insultos com que te ofenderam!
13 But we thy people and the flock of thy pasture will give thanks unto thee for ever: from generation to generation will we relate thy praise.
13 Então nós, que somos o teu povo, que somos ovelhas do teu rebanho, nós e os nossos descendentes te daremos graças para sempre e cantaremos hinos de louvor a ti hoje e nos tempos que estão por vir.
