¹ A psalm of David. Lord, who may sojourn in thy tent? who may dwell on thy holy mount?

¹ Senhor, quem habitará no teu santuário? Quem poderá morar no teu santo monte?

² He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart;

² Aquele que é íntegro em sua conduta e pratica o que é justo, que de coração fala a verdade

³ That uttereth no calumny with his tongue, that doth no evil to his neighbor, and bringeth no reproach on his fellowman;

³ e não usa a língua para difamar, que nenhum mal faz ao seu semelhante e não lança calúnia contra o seu próximo,

⁴ In whose eyes the despicable is despised; but that honoreth those who fear the Lord; that sweareth to his own injury, and changeth not;

⁴ que rejeita quem merece desprezo, mas honra os que temem ao Senhor, que mantém a sua palavra, mesmo quando sai prejudicado,

⁵ That putteth not out his money for interest, and taketh no bribe against the innocent. He that doth these things shall not be moved to eternity.

⁵ que não empresta o seu dinheiro visando lucro nem aceita suborno contra o inocente. Quem assim procede nunca será abalado!
