¹ A song of the degrees. Out of the depths have I called thee, O Lord.

¹ Das profundezas clamo a ti, Senhor .

² Lord, listen to my voice: let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

² Escuta, Senhor, a minha voz; estejam alertas os teus ouvidos às minhas súplicas.

³ If thou, Lord, shouldst treasure up iniquities, O Lord, who would be able to stand?

³ Se observares, Senhor , iniquidades, quem, Senhor, subsistirá?

⁴ But with thee there is forgiveness, in order that thou mayest be feared.

⁴ Contigo, porém, está o perdão, para que te temam.

⁵ I hope for the Lord, my soul doth hope, and for his word do I wait.

⁵ Aguardo o Senhor , a minha alma o aguarda; eu espero na sua palavra.

⁶ My soul waiteth for the Lord, more than they that watch for the morning expect the morning.

⁶ A minha alma anseia pelo Senhor mais do que os guardas pelo romper da manhã. Mais do que os guardas pelo romper da manhã,

⁷ Let Israel wait for the Lord; for with the Lord there is kindness, and with him is redemption in abundance;

⁷ espere Israel no Senhor , pois no nele, copiosa redenção.

⁸ And he wilt surely redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

⁸ É ele quem redime a Israel de todas as suas iniquidades.
