1 A song of the degrees by David. I was rejoiced when they said unto me, Unto the house of the Lord let us go.
1 Fiquei alegre quando me disseram: “Vamos à casa de Deus, o
2 Our feet are now standing within thy gates, O Jerusalem!
2 E agora aqui estamos, dentro de Jerusalém.
3 Jerusalem, which art built as a city wherein all associate together.
3 Jerusalém é uma cidade construída de novo, onde o povo se reúne.
4 For thither go up the tribes of the Lord, as a testimony for Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.
4 Para cá sobem as tribos , as tribos de Israel, para dar graças ao como ele ordenou.
5 For there are placed chairs for giving judgment, the chairs for the house of David.
5 Aqui estão os tribunais de justiça, onde o rei julga o seu povo.
6 Pray ye for the peace of Jerusalem; may those that love thee prosper.
6 Orem para que haja paz em Jerusalém. “Ó Jerusalém, que prosperem aqueles que a amam!
7 May there be peace within thy walls, prosperity within thy palaces,
7 Que haja paz na cidade protegida por muralhas! Que haja segurança nos seus palácios!”
8 For the sake of my brethren and my friends, let me now speak, Peace be within thee.
8 Eu amo os meus patrícios e amigos e por isso digo a Jerusalém: “Que a paz esteja com você!”
9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, will I seek thy good.
9 Eu amo o Templo do Senhor , o nosso Deus, e por isso oro pela prosperidade de Jerusalém.
