1 A song of the degrees. Unto the Lord, when I was in distress, did I call, and he hath answered me.
1 Em minha angústia, clamei ao S enhor , e ele respondeu à minha oração.
2 O Lord, deliver my soul from lips of falsehood, and from a tongue of deceit.
2 Livra-me, S enhor , dos mentirosos e dos enganadores.
3 What will God give unto thee? or what will he add unto thee, thou tongue of deceit?
3 Ó língua mentirosa, o que Deus fará com você? Como aumentará seu castigo?
4 Sharpened arrows of the mighty, with coals of the broombush.
4 Ele a atravessará com flechas afiadas e a queimará com brasas vivas.
5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
5 Como sofro na distante Meseque! É doloroso viver entre os moradores de Quedar!
6 Too long for herself hath my soul dwelt with him that hateth peace.
6 Estou cansado de habitar entre os que odeiam a paz.
7 I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
7 Procuro a paz, mas, quando falo de paz, eles querem guerra!
