1 Woe to those that devise wickedness, and resolve on evil upon their couches! by the first light of the morning they execute it, if they have it in the power of their hand.
1 “Ai daqueles que, ainda no seu leito, imaginam a iniquidade e planejam o mal! Ao amanhecer, eles o praticam, porque têm poder para tanto.
2 And they covet fields, and rob them; and houses, and take them away: so they defraud the master and his house, and the man and his heritage.
2 Cobiçam campos e se apossam deles; cobiçam casas e as tomam; assim, fazem violência a um homem e à sua casa, a uma pessoa e à sua herança.”
3 Therefore thus hath said the Lord, Behold, I will devise against this family an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; nor shall ye go erect; for it is an evil time.
3 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor : “Eis que estou forjando uma calamidade contra esta família, da qual vocês não livrarão o seu pescoço. Vocês não andarão mais de cabeça erguida, porque será um tempo de calamidade.
4 On that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a mournful lamentation, and say, "We are utterly wasted: the portion of my people hath he exchanged; how hath he removed it from me! instead of restoring them to us he divideth our fields."
4 Naquele dia, se criará um provérbio a respeito de vocês e se entoará a seguinte lamentação: ‘Estamos completamente arruinados! A porção do meu povo, Deus a trocou! Como ele tirou o que era nosso! Entregou os nossos campos aos rebeldes!’
5 Therefore shalt thou have none that shall draw the measuring cord in his lot in the congregation of the Lord.
5 Portanto, na congregação do quando a terra for dividida por sorteio, vocês não receberão nem uma parte dela.”
6 "Preach not;" but they shall preach: they shall not preach indeed to these, that reproach may not overtake them.
6 “Eles dizem: ‘Não profetizem. Não profetizem tais coisas, porque a desgraça não cairá sobre nós.
7 Shall it be said in the house of Jacob, Is the spirit of the Lord straightened? are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?
7 Tais coisas anunciadas não alcançarão a casa de Jacó. Estaria o Espírito do Será que ele agiria assim?’” “De fato, as minhas palavras fazem o bem ao que anda retamente.
8 But long since is my people risen up as an enemy: from the garment do you pull off the ornament; of those that pass by securely ye make men returned from war.
8 Mas, há pouco, o meu povo se levantou como um inimigo. Além da roupa, vocês arrancam a capa daqueles que passam seguros, sem pensar em guerra.
9 The wives of my people do you drive out of their delightful houses; from their children do ye take away my ornament for ever.
9 Vocês expulsam do seu lar querido as mulheres de meu povo; dos filhinhos delas vocês tiram a minha glória, para sempre.
10 Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your restingplace; because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a grievous destruction.
10 Levantem-se e vão embora! Porque este não é o lugar de descanso. Vão embora por causa da impureza que traz destruição, sim, destruição enorme.
11 If a man that goeth after wind and lieth with falsehood should say, "I will preach unto thee of wine and of strong drink:" he would be a preacher for this people.
11 Se alguém, seguindo o vento e a falsidade, inventar uma mentira do tipo: ‘Eu lhes profetizarei a respeito de vinho e de bebida forte’, esse tal será o profeta deste povo.”
12 I will once surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather up the remnant of Israel; I will place them together as flocks in the fold, as droves in the midst of their pen: they shall be crowded with men.
12 “Certamente eu ajuntarei todos vocês, casa de Jacó; certamente congregarei o remanescente de Israel. Eu os porei todos juntos, como ovelhas no aprisco, como rebanho no meio de sua pastagem; farão muito barulho, por causa da multidão de pessoas.
13 The wallbreaker cometh up before them; they break in and pass through the gate, and go out by it: and their king passeth on before them, and the Lord at their head.
13 Diante deles virá o que abre caminho; eles abrirão caminho, entrarão pelo portão e sairão por ele; e o seu Rei irá adiante deles; sim, o à frente deles.”
