1 Then sang Deborah with Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying,
1 E cantou Débora e Baraque, filho de Abinoão, naquele mesmo dia, dizendo:
2 When depravity had broken out in Israel, then did the people offer themselves willingly; therefore praise ye the Lord.
2 Porquanto os chefes se puseram à frente em Israel, porquanto o povo se ofereceu voluntariamente, louvai ao Senhor .
3 Hear, O kings; give ear, O princes; Iunto the Lord will I sing; I will sing praise to the Lord, the God of Israel.
3 Ouvi, reis; dai ouvidos, príncipes; eu, eu cantarei ao Senhor ; salmodiarei ao Senhor , Deus de Israel.
4 Lord, at thy going forth out of Seir, at thy marching along out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, also the heavens dropped, also the clouds dropped water.
4 Ó Senhor , saindo tu de Seir, caminhando tu desde o campo de Edom, a terra estremeceu; até os céus gotejaram, até as nuvens gotejaram águas.
5 The mountains melted away because of the presence of the Lord, yonder Sinai, because of the presence of the Lord, the God of Israel.
5 Os montes se derreteram diante do Senhor , e até o Sinai diante do Senhor , Deus de Israel.
6 In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, and those who travelled on roads walked through crooked bypaths.
6 Nos dias de Sangar, filho de Anate, nos dias de Jael, cessaram os caminhos de se percorrerem; e os que andavam por veredas iam por caminhos torcidos.
7 Desolate were the open towns in Israel, they were desolate, until that I arose, Deborah, that I arose a mother in Israel.
7 Cessaram as aldeias em Israel, cessaram, até que eu, Débora, me levantei, por mãe em Israel me levantei.
8 They chose new gods, then was there war in the gates: was there a shield seen or a spear among forty thousand in Israel?
8 E, se escolhia deuses novos, logo a guerra estava às portas; via-se, por isso, escudo ou lança entre quarenta mil em Israel?
9 My heart belongeth to the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people: praise ye the Lord.
9 Meu coração é para os legisladores de Israel, que voluntariamente se ofereceram entre o povo; louvai ao Senhor .
10 Ye that ride on white asses, ye that sit in judgment, and ye who walk on the way, utter praise!
10 Vós, os que cavalgais sobre jumentas brancas, que vos assentais em juízo e que andais pelo caminho, falai disto.
11 Urged on by the voice of those who divide the flocks between the watering wells, there shall they rehearse the benefits of the Lord, the benefits toward his open towns in Israel; for now go down again to the gates the people of the Lord.
11 Onde se ouve o estrondo dos flecheiros, entre os lugares onde se tiram águas, ali falai das justiças do Senhor , das justiças que fez às suas aldeias em Israel; então, o povo do Senhor descia às portas.
12 Awake, awake, Deborah! awake, awake, utter a song! up, Barak, and lead away thy captives, son of Abinoam.
12 Desperta, desperta, Débora, desperta, desperta, entoa um cântico; levanta-te, Baraque, e leva presos teus prisioneiros, tu, filho de Abinoão.
13 Then obtained dominion a few that had escaped for the nobles among the peoplethe Lord gave me dominion over the mighty.
13 Então, o Senhor fez dominar sobre os magníficos, entre o povo ao que ficou de resto; fez-me o Senhor dominar sobre os valentes.
14 They whose root is out of Ephraim were against Amalek; after thee, Benjamin, with thy armies; out of Machir came down lawgivers, and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer.
14 De Efraim saiu a sua raiz contra Amaleque; e após ti vinha Benjamim dentre os teus povos; de Maquir e Zebulom desceram os legisladores, passando com o cajado do escriba.
15 And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; yea Issachar, the support of Barak; into the valley he hastened down in his train; but at the streams of Reuben there were great thoughts of heart.
15 Também os principais de Issacar foram com Débora; e, como Issacar, assim também Baraque foi enviado a pé para o vale; nas correntes de Rúben foram grandes as resoluções do coração.
16 Why didst thou sit among the sheepfolds to hear the bleatings of the flocks? At the streams of Reuben there were great searchings of heart.
16 Por que ficaste tu entre os currais para ouvires os balidos dos rebanhos? Nas divisões de Rúben tiveram grandes esquadrinhações do coração.
17 Gilad abode beyond the Jordan; and Danwhy would he tarry in ships? Asher remained on the seashore, and abode near his bays.
17 Gileade se ficou dalém do Jordão, e Dã por que se deteve em navios? Aser se assentou nos portos do mar e ficou nas suas ruínas.
18 Zebulun is a people that jeoparded its life unto death, and Naphtalion the high places of the battle field.
18 Zebulom é um povo que expôs a sua vida à morte, como também Naftali, nas alturas do campo.
19 There came kings, and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan, in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo: gain of money they took not away.
19 Vieram reis e pelejaram; então, pelejaram os reis de Canaã em Taanaque, junto às águas de Megido; não tomaram ganho de prata.
20 From heaven they foughtthe stars in their courses fought against Sissera.
20 Desde os céus pelejaram; até as estrelas desde os lugares dos seus cursos pelejaram contra Sísera.
21 The stream of Kishon swept them away, that ancient stream, the stream of Kishon: step along, O my soul, in victorious strength.
21 O ribeiro de Quisom os arrastou, aquele antigo ribeiro, o ribeiro de Quisom. Pisaste, ó minha alma, a força.
22 Then were crushed the hoofs of the horses, through the prancings, the prancings of their mighty ones.
22 Então, as unhas dos cavalos se despedaçaram pelo galopar, o galopar dos seus valentes.
23 Curse ye Meroz, saith the messenger of the Lord, yea, curse ye bitterly its inhabitants; because they came not to the help of the Lord, to the help of the Lord among the mighty.
23 Amaldiçoai a Meroz, diz o Anjo do Senhor ; acremente amaldiçoai os seus moradores, porquanto não vieram em socorro do Senhor , em socorro do Senhor , com os valorosos.
24 Blessed above other women shall be Jael the wife of Cheber the Kenite, above other women dwelling in the tent may she be blessed.
24 Bendita seja sobre as mulheres Jael, mulher de Héber, o queneu; bendita seja sobre as mulheres nas tendas.
25 Water he asked, milk she gave him: in a lordly dish she brought him cream.
25 Água pediu ele, leite lhe deu ela; em taça de príncipes lhe ofereceu manteiga.
26 Her hand she put forth to the nail, and her right hand to the laborious workmens hammer; and she hammered Sissera, she struck his head, and crushed and smote through his temple.
26 À estaca estendeu a sua mão esquerda, e ao maço dos trabalhadores, a sua direita; e matou a Sísera e rachou-lhe a cabeça, quando lhe pregou e atravessou as fontes.
27 Between her feet he bent, he fell, he lay; between her feet he bent, he fell: where he had bent, there he fell down, bereft of life.
27 Entre os seus pés, se encurvou, caiu, ficou estirado; entre os seus pés, se encurvou, caiu; onde se encurvou, ali ficou abatido.
28 Out of the window looked and moaned the mother of Sissera, through the lattice, Why tarrieth his chariot so long in coming? why lag the wheels of his chariot?
28 A mãe de Sísera olhava pela janela e exclamava pela grade: Por que tarda em vir o seu carro? Por que se demoram os passos dos seus carros?
29 The wise among her ladies answered her, she also returned a reply to herself.
29 As mais sábias das suas damas responderam; e até ela respondia a si mesma:
30 Will they not find,divide booty? one maiden, two maidens for every man, a booty of colored garments for Sissera, a booty of colored embroidered garments, colored, doubleworked garments round the necks of the captives!
30 Porventura não achariam e repartiriam despojos? Uma ou duas moças a cada homem? Para Sísera despojos de várias cores, despojos de várias cores de bordados; de várias cores bordados de ambas as bandas, para os pescoços do despojo?
31 Thus may perish all thy enemies, O Lord; but may those that love him be as the rising of the sun in his might. And the land had rest forty years.
31 Assim, ó Senhor , pereçam todos os teus inimigos! Porém os que o amam sejam como o sol quando sai na sua força.
32 — ausente —
32 E sossegou a terra quarenta anos.
