1 The Spirit of the Lord Eternal is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to announce good tidings unto the meek: he hath sent me to bind up the broken–hearted, to proclaim to captives Liberty, and to prisoners Release;
1 O Espírito do Senhor Deus está sobre mim, porque o para pregar boas-novas aos pobres, enviou-me a curar os quebrantados de coração, a proclamar libertação aos cativos e a pôr em liberdade os algemados,
2 To proclaim a year of favor of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all mourners;
2 a apregoar o ano aceitável do e o dia da vingança do nosso Deus, a consolar todos os que choram
3 To grant unto the mourners of Zion,––to give unto them ornament in the place of ashes, oil of gladness in the place of mourning, garments of praise in the place of a grieved spirit; that they may be called, Oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.
3 e a pôr sobre os que choram em Sião uma coroa em vez de cinzas, óleo de alegria em vez de pranto, manto de louvor em vez de espírito angustiado. Eles serão chamados carvalhos de justiça, plantados pelo para a sua glória.
4 And they shall build up the ancient ruins, desolate places of former times shall they raise up, and they shall renew ruined cities, the desolate places of many generations.
4 Reconstruirão as antigas ruínas, restaurarão os lugares anteriormente destruídos e renovarão as cidades arruinadas, destruídas de geração em geração.
5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your ploughmen and your vintners.
5 Estranhos se apresentarão e apascentarão os rebanhos de vocês; estrangeiros serão os seus lavradores e vinhateiros.
6 But ye, ye shall be called, Priests of the Lord; Ministers of our God, shall be said unto you: the wealth of nations shall ye consume, and in their glory shall ye be placed as possessors.
6 Mas vocês serão chamados sacerdotes do e serão conhecidos como ministros do nosso Deus. Comerão as riquezas das nações e se orgulharão do que era a glória delas.
7 In the place of your twofold shame,––and the confusion of which they loudly complained as their portion: therefore in their land shall they possess a twofold portion; everlasting joy shall be granted unto them.
7 Em lugar de vergonha, vocês terão dupla honra; em lugar da afronta, exultarão na herança recebida; por isso, em sua terra possuirão o dobro e terão perpétua alegria.
8 For I the Lord love justice, I hate robbery with burnt–offering: therefore will I give them the recompense of their work in truth, and an everlasting covenant will I make with them.
8 “Porque eu, o Senhor , amo a justiça e odeio a iniquidade do roubo; em fidelidade lhes darei a sua recompensa e com eles farei aliança eterna.
9 And among the nations shall their seed be known, and their offspring in the midst of the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed whom the Lord hath blessed.
9 A posteridade deles será conhecida entre as nações, os seus descendentes, no meio dos povos; todos os que os virem reconhecerão que eles são família bendita do
10 I will be greatly glad in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, with the mantle of righteousness hath he enveloped me, as a bridegroom decketh himself with elegant attire, and as a bride adorneth herself with her bridal array.
10 Tenho grande alegria no Senhor ! A minha alma se alegra no meu Deus, porque me cobriu de vestes de salvação e me envolveu com o manto de justiça, como noivo que se adorna de turbante, como noiva que se enfeita com as suas joias.
11 For, as the earth bringeth forth her growth, and as a garden causeth what is sown therein to spring forth: thus will the Lord Eternal cause righteousness and praise to spring forth in the presence of all the nations.
11 Porque, como a terra produz os seus renovos, e como o jardim faz brotar o que nele se semeia, assim o a justiça e o louvor diante de todas as nações.
