Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs ARA
1 Arise, give light, for thy light is come; and the glory of the Lord is shining forth over thee.
1 Dispõe-te, resplandece, porque vem a tua luz, e a glória do Senhor nasce sobre ti.
2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and a gross darkness the people; but over thee will shine forth the Lord, and his glory will be seen over thee.
2 Porque eis que as trevas cobrem a terra, e a escuridão, os povos; mas sobre ti aparece resplendente o Senhor , e a sua glória se vê sobre ti.
3 And nations shall walk by thy light, and kings by the brightness of thy shining.
3 As nações se encaminham para a tua luz, e os reis, para o resplendor que te nasceu.
4 Lift up thy eyes round about and see, they all are assembled, they come to thee, thy sons are coming from afar, and thy daughters are brought along in arms.
4 Levanta em redor os olhos e vê; todos estes se ajuntam e vêm ter contigo; teus filhos chegam de longe, e tuas filhas são trazidas nos braços.
5 Then wilt thou see and be filled with light, and thy heart will dread and be enlarged; because unto thee shall be turned the abundance of the sea, the riches of nations shall come unto thee.
5 Então, o verás e serás radiante de alegria; o teu coração estremecerá e se dilatará de júbilo, porque a abundância do mar se tornará a ti, e as riquezas das nações virão a ter contigo.
6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; they all from Sheba shall come: gold and frankincense shall they carry, and the praises of the Lord shall they announce.
6 A multidão de camelos te cobrirá, os dromedários de Midiã e de Efa; todos virão de Sabá; trarão ouro e incenso e publicarão os louvores do Senhor .
7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be assembled unto thee, the rams of Nebayoth shall minister unto thee: they shall come for a favorable acceptance unto me upon my altar, and the house of my glory will I glorify.
7 Todas as ovelhas de Quedar se reunirão junto de ti; servir-te-ão os carneiros de Nebaiote; para o meu agrado subirão ao meu altar, e eu tornarei mais gloriosa a casa da minha glória.
8 Who are these that fly like a cloud, and like the doves, to their windows?
8 Quem são estes que vêm voando como nuvens e como pombas, ao seu pombal?
9 Yea, unto me the inhabitants of the isles shall hasten, and the ships of Tharshish at first, to bring thy sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel; because he hath glorified thee.
9 Certamente, as terras do mar me aguardarão; virão primeiro os navios de Társis para trazerem teus filhos de longe e, com eles, a sua prata e o seu ouro, para a santificação do nome do Senhor , teu Deus, e do Santo de Israel, porque ele te glorificou.
10 And the sons of the stranger shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee; for in my wrath did I smite thee, but in my favor have I had mercy on thee.
10 Estrangeiros edificarão os teus muros, e os seus reis te servirão; porque no meu furor te castiguei, mas na minha graça tive misericórdia de ti.
11 And thy gates shall stand open continually, day and night shall they not be closed, to bring unto thee the wealth of nations, and their kings led captive.
11 As tuas portas estarão abertas de contínuo; nem de dia nem de noite se fecharão, para que te sejam trazidas riquezas das nações, e, conduzidos com elas, os seus reis.
12 For the nation and the kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; and the nations shall be utterly destroyed.
12 Porque a nação e o reino que não te servirem perecerão; sim, essas nações serão de todo assoladas.
13 The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir, the cypress, and the box together, to adorn the place of my sanctuary, and the resting place of my feet will I glorify.
13 A glória do Líbano virá a ti; o cipreste, o olmeiro e o buxo, conjuntamente, para adornarem o lugar do meu santuário; e farei glorioso o lugar dos meus pés.
14 And then shall come unto thee bent down the sons of those who afflicted thee, and there shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet all thy revilers; and they shall call thee, The city of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
14 Também virão a ti, inclinando-se, os filhos dos que te oprimiram; prostrar-se-ão até às plantas dos teus pés todos os que te desdenharam e chamar-te-ão Cidade do Senhor , a Sião do Santo de Israel.
15 Instead that thou wast forsaken and hated, without one to pass through thee, will I render thee an excellency of everlasting, a joy of all generations.
15 De abandonada e odiada que eras, de modo que ninguém passava por ti, eu te constituirei glória eterna, regozijo, de geração em geração.
16 And thou shalt suck the milk of nations, and the breast of kings shalt thou suck; and thou shalt know that I the Lord am thy Saviour, and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
16 Mamarás o leite das nações e te alimentarás ao peito dos reis; saberás que eu sou o Senhor , o teu Salvador, o teu Redentor, o Poderoso de Jacó.
17 Instead of the copper will I bring gold, and instead of the iron will I bring silver, and instead of wood copper, and instead of the stones iron; and I will set peace as thy authorities, and righteousness as thy taskmasters.
17 Por bronze trarei ouro, por ferro trarei prata, por madeira, bronze e por pedras, ferro; farei da paz os teus inspetores e da justiça, os teus exatores.
18 There shall not be heard any wore violence in thy land, wasting and destruction within thy boundaries; but thou shalt call, Salvation, thy walls, and thy gates, Praise.
18 Nunca mais se ouvirá de violência na tua terra, de desolação ou ruínas, nos teus limites; mas aos teus muros chamarás Salvação, e às tuas portas, Louvor.
19 The sun shall not be unto thee any more for a light by day, and for brightness shall the moon not give light unto thee; but the Lord will be unto thee for a light of everlasting, and thy God as thy glory.
19 Nunca mais te servirá o sol para luz do dia, nem com o seu resplendor a lua te alumiará; mas o Senhor será a tua luz perpétua, e o teu Deus, a tua glória.
20 Thy sun shall not go down any more, and thy moon shall not be withdrawn; for the Lord will be unto thee for a light of everlasting, and ended shall be the days of thy mourning,
20 Nunca mais se porá o teu sol, nem a tua lua minguará, porque o Senhor será a tua luz perpétua, e os dias do teu luto findarão.
21 And thy peoplethey all will be righteous, for ever shall they possess the land, the sprout of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may glorify myself.
21 Todos os do teu povo serão justos, para sempre herdarão a terra; serão renovos por mim plantados, obra das minhas mãos, para que eu seja glorificado.
22 The little one shall become a thousand, and the small, a mighty nation: I the Lord will hasten it in its time.
22 O menor virá a ser mil, e o mínimo, uma nação forte; eu, o Senhor , a seu tempo farei isso prontamente.
