1 And seven women shall take hold of one man on that day, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, take but away our reproach.
1 Naquele dia, restarão tão poucos homens que sete mulheres brigarão por um só e dirão: “Deixe que todas nós nos casemos com você! Providenciaremos nossa comida e nossas roupas. Só queremos seu sobrenome, para que não zombem de nós!”.
2 On that day shall the sprout of the Lord be for ornament and for honor, and the fruit of the land for excellence and for glory for the escaped of Israel.
2 Naquele dia, porém, o renovo do S enhor será belo e glorioso; o fruto da terra será o orgulho e o esplendor de todos que sobreviverem em Israel.
3 And it shall come to pass, that whoever is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, every one that is written down unto life in Jerusalem:
3 Todos que restarem em Sião serão um povo santo, aqueles que permanecerem em Jerusalém, que estiverem registrados entre os vivos.
4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have scoured away the blood–guiltiness of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of destruction.
4 O Senhor lavará a imundície da bela Sião; removerá de Jerusalém as manchas de sangue com o quente sopro de julgamento abrasador.
5 And then will the Lord create upon every dwelling of mount Zion, and upon her places of assembly, a cloud and smoke by day, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory shall be a covering.
5 Então o S enhor proverá sombra para o monte Sião, e todos se reunirão ali. Durante o dia, proverá uma camada de nuvem e, à noite, de fumaça e fogo ardente, que cobrirá a terra gloriosa.
6 And a tabernacle shall it be for a shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a refuge, and for a covert from tempest and from rain.
6 Será abrigo contra o calor do dia e esconderijo contra tempestades e chuvas.
