Isaías 34

1 Come near, ye nations, to hear; and ye people, hearken: let the earth hear, and all that filleth it; the world, and all things that spring forth of it.
1 Aproximai-vos, vós, nações, para ouvir e escutai, vós, povos. Permiti que a terra ouça, e tudo que nela está, o mundo e todas as coisas que dele procedem.
2 For the indignation of the Lord is enkindled over all the nations, and his fury over all their army: he hath devoted them, he hath given them up to the slaughter:
2 Porque a indignação do SENHOR está sobre todas as nações, e sua fúria sobre todos os seus exércitos. Ele as tem destruído completamente, Ele as tem trazido para a matança.
3 And their slain also shall be cast out, and as regardeth their carcasses their stench shall ascend upward, and the mountains shall be melted through their blood.
3 Seus mortos serão arrojados, e o mau cheiro exalará de seus cadáveres, e os montes serão derretidos com o sangue deles.
4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together like a book: and all their host shall wither, as the leaf withereth from the vine, and as withering fruit from the figtree.
4 E todo o exército do céu será dissolvido, e os céus serão enrolados juntamente como um rolo de pergaminho. E todo o seu exército cairá como a folha cai de uma videira, e como um figo em queda de uma figueira.
5 For my sword is sated in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Edom, and upon the people I have devoted to punishment.
5 Pois minha espada será banhada no céu. Eis que ela descerá sobre a Idumeia e sobre o povo da minha maldição, para julgamento.
6 The sword of the Lord is full of blood, it is enriched with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams; for the Lord hath a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.
6 A espada do SENHOR está coberta de sangue, faz-se engordurada com gordura e com o sangue de carneiros e bodes, com a gordura dos rins dos carneiros. Pois o SENHOR tem um sacrifício em Bozra e uma grande matança na terra da Idumeia.
7 And wild oxen shall sink down with them, and steers with bullocks; and their land shall be sated with blood, and their dust enriched with fat.
7 E os unicórnios cairão com eles, e os novilhos com os touros. E sua terra será encharcada com sangue, e seu pó tornar-se-á oleoso pela gordura.
8 For it is the day of vengeance unto the Lord, and the year of recompense for the controversy of Zion.
8 Porque este é o dia da vingança do SENHOR e o ano das retribuições pela controvérsia de Sião.
9 And its brooks shall be changed into pitch, and its dust into sulfur, and its land shall become burning pitch.
9 E os riachos daquele lugar tornar-se-ão em piche, e o pó dali em enxofre, e a terra daquele lugar tornar-se-á piche em chamas.
10 Night and day shall it not be quenched; for ever shall ascend the smoke thereof: from generation to generation shall it lie waste; no one shall for ever and ever pass through it.
10 Ele não será apagado, nem de noite e nem de dia. A fumaça daquele lugar subirá eternamente, de geração a geração permanecerá inabitada. Ninguém a transitará para sempre e sempre.
11 But pelican and hedgehog shall take possession of it; nightowl also and raven shall dwell in it: and he shall stretch out over it the line of destruction, and the weights of desolation.
11 Porém, o pelicano e o alcaravão a possuirão. A coruja também, juntamente com o corvo nela habitarão. E ele estenderá completamente sobre ela a linha de confusão e o prumo de vacuidade.
12 Their noblesno one is there they could call to the kingdom, and all its princes shall be no more.
12 Eles chamarão os nobres daquele lugar para o reino, porém, ninguém estará lá, e todos os príncipes dela serão nada.
13 And thorns shall spring up in its palaces, nettles and brambles in its fortresses: and it shall be a habitation of monsters, and a court for ostriches.
13 E espinheiros brotarão nos palácios dela, urtigas e arbustos com caules repletos de espinhos nas fortificações daquele lugar. E será uma habitação de dragões e um palácio para corujas.
14 And the martens shall meet with the jackals, and one goat shall call to his fellow; only the screechowl shall rest there, and find for herself a place of repose.
14 Os animais selvagens do deserto também se encontrarão com os animais selvagens da ilha, e o sátiro clamará à sua companheira. A coruja que chirria também descansará lá e encontrará para si um lugar de descanso.
15 There shall nestle the arrowsnake, and lay eggs, and hatch, and gather its young under its shadow: only vultures shall assemble there, every one with her mate.
15 Lá uma grande coruja fará o ninho dela, porá ovos e os chocará, e ajuntará sob sua sombra. Lá os abutres também serão reunidos, cada um com seu par.
16 Inquire out of the book of the Lord, and read: not one of these shall be absent, not one shall miss her mate; for my mouth it is that hath ordained it, and its breath it is that hath gathered them.
16 Buscai no livro do SENHOR e lede: Nenhuma destas coisas falhará; nenhuma estará sem seu par. Por minha boca isto foi ordenado e seu espírito os tem ajuntado.
17 And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath divided it out unto them by the measuring line: for ever shall they possess it, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein.
17 E ele lançou sortes por elas, e por uma linha, lhas tens dividido. Eles a possuirão para sempre, de geração a geração, habitarão naquele lugar.
