1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
1 Esta palavra do Senhor veio a mim:
2 Son of man, set thy face against the mountain of Se’ir, and prophecy against it,
2 "Filho do homem, vire o rosto contra o monte Seir; profetize contra ele
3 And say unto it, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will be against thee, O mountain of Se’ir, and I will stretch out my hand over thee, and I will render thee desolate and wasted.
3 e diga: ‘Assim diz o Soberano Senhor: Estou contra você, monte Seir, e estenderei o meu braço contra você e farei de você um deserto arrasado.
4 Thy cities will I lay in ruins, and thou thyself shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
4 Transformarei as suas cidades em ruínas, e você ficará arrasado. Então você saberá que eu sou o Senhor.
5 Because thou hast had an undying hatred, and didst surrender the children of Israel to the power of the sword, at the time of their calamity, at the time of the iniquity of the end:
5 " ‘Visto que você guardou uma velha hostilidade e entregou os israelitas à espada na hora da desgraça, na hora em que o castigo deles chegou,
6 Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord Eternal, I will surely let thy blood flow, and blood shall pursue thee; since thou didst not hate blood–shedding, so shall blood pursue thee.
6 por isso, juro pela minha vida, palavra do Soberano Senhor, que entregarei você ao espírito sanguinário, e este o perseguirá. Uma vez que você não detestou o espírito sanguinário, o espírito sanguinário o perseguirá.
7 Thus will I change the mountain of Se’ir into a desolate land and a waste, and I will cut off from it him that travelleth forward and backward.
7 Farei do monte Seir um deserto arrasado e dele eliminarei todo o que vem e todo o que vai.
8 And I will fill his mountains with his slain: as regardeth thy hills, and thy valleys, and all thy ravines, in them shall fall those that are slain by the sword.
8 Encherei seus montes de mortos; os mortos à espada cairão em suas colinas e em seus vales e em todas as suas ravinas.
9 Into perpetual desolations will I change thee, and thy cities shall not be restored: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
9 Arrasarei você para sempre; suas cidades ficarão inabitáveis. Então você saberá que eu sou o Senhor.
10 Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall indeed be mine, and we will take possession thereof; whereas the Lord was there:
10 " ‘Uma vez que você disse: "Estas duas nações e povos serão nossos e nos apossaremos deles", sendo que eu, o Senhor, estava ali,
11 Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord God, I will even do according to thy anger, and according to thy envy which thou didst use out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I judge thee.
11 juro pela minha vida, palavra do Soberano Senhor, que tratarei você de acordo com a ira e o ciúme que você mostrou em seu ódio para com eles, e me farei conhecido entre eles quando eu julgar você.
12 And thou shalt know that I am the Lord: I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given unto us to consume them.
12 Então você saberá que eu, o Senhor, ouvi todas as coisas desprezíveis que você disse contra os montes de Israel. Você disse: "Eles foram arrasados e nos foram entregues para que os devoremos".
13 And ye boasted greatly against me with your mouth, and have multiplied against me your words: I have indeed heard them.
13 Você encheu-se de orgulho contra mim e falou contra mim sem se conter, e eu o ouvi.
14 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.
14 Pois assim diz o Soberano Senhor: Enquanto a terra toda se regozija, eu o arrasarei.
15 As thou didst rejoice over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was made desolate: so will I do unto thee; desolate shalt thou be, O mountain of Se’ir, and all Idumea––altogether; and they shall know that I am the Lord.
15 Como você se regozijou quando a herança da nação de Israel foi arrasada, é assim que eu a tratarei. Você ficará arrasado, ó monte Seir, você e todo o Edom. Então eles saberão que eu sou o Senhor’ ".
