1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
1 Então recebi esta mensagem do S enhor :
2 Son of man, set thy face against the sons of Ammon, and prophesy against them;
2 “Filho do homem, volte o rosto para a terra de Amom e profetize contra seus habitantes.
3 And say unto the sons of Ammon, Hear ye the word of the Lord Eternal, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because thou hast said, Aha, concerning my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and concerning the land of Israel, when it was made desolate; and concerning the house of Judah, when they went into exile:
3 Transmita aos amonitas esta mensagem do S enhor Soberano: Ouçam a palavra do S enhor Soberano! Porque vocês se alegraram quando meu templo foi profanado, zombaram de Israel em sua desolação e riram de Judá quando ele foi enviado para o exílio,
4 Therefore, behold, I will give thee up to the children of the east for a possession, and they shall set up their towers in thee, and place in thee their dwellings; they shall indeed eat thy fruit, and they shall surely drink thy milk.
4 eu os entregarei aos nômades dos desertos do leste. Eles montarão acampamentos em seu meio e armarão tendas em sua terra. Colherão seus frutos e beberão o leite de seu gado.
5 And I will change Rabbah into a pasture for camels, and the land of the sons of Ammon into a restingplace for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
5 Transformarei a cidade de Rabá em pasto para camelos e todo o território dos amonitas em lugar de descanso para ovelhas. Então vocês saberão que eu sou o S enhor .
6 For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Whereas thou didst clap thy hands, and stamp with thy feet, and rejoice with all thy derision in the soul over the land of Israel:
6 “Assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Porque bateram palmas, dançaram e pularam exultantes com a destruição do povo de Israel,
7 Therefore, behold, will I stretch out my hand over thee, and will give thee up for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries; I will destroy thee, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
7 levantarei minha mão contra vocês. Eu os entregarei como despojo a muitas nações. Eliminarei vocês dentre os povos e os destruirei completamente. Então vocês saberão que eu sou o S enhor .”
8 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the nations:
8 “Assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Porque o povo de Moabe disse que Judá é como todas as outras nações,
9 Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Bethhayeshimoth, Baalmeon, and Kiryathayim,
9 abrirei seu lado leste e acabarei com as imponentes cidades de sua fronteira: Bete-Jesimote, Baal-Meom e Quiriataim.
10 Unto the children of the east coming against the sons of Ammon, and I will give them in possession; in order that the sons of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations.
10 Entregarei Moabe aos nômades dos desertos do leste, como entreguei Amom. Os amonitas não serão mais contados entre as nações.
11 And on Moab will I execute judgments: and they shall know that I am the Lord.
11 Da mesma forma, trarei meu julgamento sobre os moabitas. Então eles saberão que eu sou o S enhor .”
12 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because the Edomites have acted revengefully against the house of Judah, and have greatly offended, and have taken vengeance on them:
12 “Assim diz o S enhor Soberano: O povo de Edom pecou grandemente quando se vingou do povo de Judá.
13 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, I will also stretch out my hand against Edom, and cut off from it man and beast; and I will make it a ruined land from Theman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.
13 Portanto, assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Levantarei minha mão contra Edom. Exterminarei seus habitantes e seus animais com a espada. Transformarei a terra em deserto, desde Temã até Dedã.
14 And I will display my vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my fury: and they shall feel my vengeance, saith the Lord Eternal.
14 Farei isso por meio de meu povo, Israel. Eles executarão minha vingança com terrível ira, e Edom saberá que essa vingança veio de mim. Eu, o S enhor Soberano, falei!”
15 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because the Philistines have acted in revenge, and have taken vengeance with derision in their soul, to destroy out of ancient enmity:
15 “Assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Os habitantes da Filístia atacaram Judá por vingança amarga e ódio profundo.
16 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Kerethim, and destroy the remnant of the dwellers of the seacoast.
16 Portanto, assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Levantarei minha mão contra os filisteus. Exterminarei os queretitas e destruirei completamente os habitantes do litoral.
17 And I will execute on them great vengeances with furious chastisements: and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I display my vengeance on them.
17 Executarei vingança terrível contra eles para castigá-los por aquilo que fizeram. E, quando eu tiver me vingado, eles saberão que eu sou o S enhor ”.
