Ezequiel 22

1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
1 O Senhor me disse o seguinte:
2 And thou, son of man, wilt thou take to task, wilt thou take to task the city of blood? and wilt thou make her know all her abominations?
2 — Homem mortal , você está pronto para julgar a cidade que está cheia de assassinos? Mostre a ela todas as coisas vergonhosas que tem feito.
3 Then say thou, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, O city that sheddeth blood in her midst, that her time of sorrow may come, and that hath made idols for herself to become unclean:
3 Conte a ela aquilo que eu, o Senhor Deus, estou dizendo: “Você, cidade assassina, matou muitas pessoas do seu próprio povo e se tornou impura fazendo ídolos e os adorando, e por isso o tempo do seu castigo está cada vez mais perto.
4 Through thy blood which thou hast shed, are thou become guilty; and through thy idols which thou hast made art thou become unclean; and thou hast caused thy days of destruction to draw near, and thou art come even unto thy years; therefore do I make thee a disgrace unto the nations, and a mocking to all the countries.
4 Você é culpada dessas mortes e se tornou impura por causa dos ídolos que fabricou, e por isso o seu dia está chegando, o seu tempo acabou. Foi por isso que deixei as outras nações caçoarem e zombarem de você.
5 Those who are near, and those who are far from thee, shall mock thee, O thou unclean in name, and great in confusion!
5 Países de perto e de longe caçoam de você por ter fama de cidade de desordeiros.
6 Behold, the princes of Israel were each ready with his arm within thee, in order to shed blood.
6 Todas as autoridades de Israel confiam na sua própria força e cometem assassinatos.
7 Father and mother they esteemed lightly within thee, toward the stranger they acted with extortion in the midst of thee, the fatherless and the widow they oppressed within thee.
7 Na cidade, ninguém honra o pai nem a mãe. Vocês maltratam os estrangeiros que moram no meio de vocês e exploram viúvas e órfãos.
8 My holy things thou didst despise, and my sabbaths thou didst profane.
8 Vocês não respeitam os lugares sagrados, nem guardam o sábado.
9 Talebearers also were within thee, in order to shed blood; and upon the mountains did they eat within thee; incest did they commit in the midst of thee.
9 Uns dizem mentiras a respeito dos outros, que por causa disso são mortos. Alguns comem sacrifícios oferecidos aos ídolos. Outros estão sempre satisfazendo as suas paixões.
10 Their fathers nakedness they uncovered within thee; her that was unclean in her separation did they violate within thee.
10 Outros têm relações sexuais com a mulher do seu próprio pai. Outros ainda obrigam mulheres que estão menstruadas a terem relações com eles.
11 And one with his neighbors wife did commit abomination; and another did defile his daughterinlaw with incest; and another did violate his sister, the daughter of his father, within thee.
11 Cometem adultério e seduzem as suas noras ou as suas meias-irmãs.
12 Bribes they took within thee, in order to shed blood; interest and increase didst thou take, and thou didst acquire gain off thy neighbors by extortion: and me thou didst forget, saith the Lord Eternal.
12 Alguns dos seus moradores matam por dinheiro. Outros emprestam dinheiro a juros e ficam ricos explorando os seus próprios irmãos israelitas. Eles esqueceram de mim. Sou eu, o Senhor Deus, quem está falando.
13 And behold, I have struck my hands together at thy wrongful gain which thou hast acquired, and at thy bloodguilt which hath been in the midst of thee.
13 — “Vou acabar com as suas roubalheiras e com os seus crimes de morte.
14 Will thy courage endure, or will thy hands remain strong, on the days that I will deal with thee? I the Lord have spoken, and will do it.
14 Vocês pensam que ainda terão alguma coragem ou força bastante para levantar a mão quando eu acabar de agir contra vocês? Eu, o Senhor , estou falando e mantenho a minha palavra.
15 And I will scatter thee among the nations, and disperse thee in the countries, and I will entirely remove thy uncleanness out of thee.
15 Espalharei o seu povo por todos os países e nações e porei um fim em todas as suas más ações.
16 And thou shalt be degraded through thyself before the eyes of nations, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
16 Assim as outras nações olharão com nojo para vocês, e vocês saberão que eu sou o Senhor .”
17 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
17 O Senhor me disse o seguinte:
18 Son of man, the house of Israel are become to me dross: they all are copper, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; the dross of silver are they become.
18 — Homem mortal , os israelitas não têm valor para mim. Eles são como a mistura de cobre, estanho, ferro e chumbo que sobra depois que a prata é refinada na fornalha.
19 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Because ye are all become dross, therefore, behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.
19 Agora, eu, o Senhor Deus, estou lhes dizendo que eles são tão inúteis como essa mistura. Reunirei todos em Jerusalém,
20 As silver, and copper, and iron, and lead, and tin are gathered into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it: so will I gather you in my anger and in my fury and I will lay you down there, and melt you.
20 como se fossem minério de prata, cobre, ferro, chumbo e estanho jogados numa fornalha de refinação. A minha ira e o meu furor os derreterão assim como o fogo derrete o minério.
21 Yea, I will assemble you in a heap, and blow upon you with the fire of my wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst of it.
21 Sim! Eu os ajuntarei em Jerusalém, porei fogo debaixo deles e os derreterei com a minha ira.
22 As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst of it: and ye shall know that I am the Lord who have poured out my fury over you.
22 Eles se derreterão em Jerusalém assim como a prata é derretida na fornalha e aí ficarão sabendo que eu, o Senhor , derramei sobre eles a minha ira.
23 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
23 O Senhor falou comigo de novo. Ele disse:
24 Son of man, say unto her, Thou art a land that is not cleansed; and which is not rained upon on the day of indignation.
24 — Homem mortal , diga aos israelitas que a terra deles é impura e que eu os estou castigando por causa da minha ira .
25 The banded troop of her prophets in the midst of her is like a roaring lion that teareth in pieces the prey: souls do they devour; wealth and precious things do they take away; the number of her widows do they increase in the midst of her.
25 As suas autoridades são como leões rugindo em cima dos animais que mataram. Matam as pessoas, tiram as suas propriedades e as suas riquezas e, por causa dos seus crimes de morte, deixam viúvas muitas mulheres.
26 Her priests violate my law, and profane my holy things: between the holy and profane do they make no distinction, and the difference between the unclean and the clean do they not make known, and from the violation of my sabbaths do they turn away their eyes, so that I am profaned among them.
26 Os sacerdotes desobedecem à minha Lei e não têm respeito por aquilo que é santo. Não fazem diferença entre o que é santo e o que não é. Não ensinam a diferença entre as coisas puras e as impuras e não respeitam o sábado. Como resultado disso, o povo de Israel não me respeita.
27 Her princes in her midst are like wolves that tear in pieces the prey, to shed blood, to destroy souls, in order to obtain selfish gain.
27 As autoridades são como lobos que despedaçam os animais que mataram. Matam para enriquecer.
28 And her prophets plastered for them with unadhesive mortar, foreseeing falsehood, and divining unto them lies, saying, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal; when the Lord had not spoken.
28 Os profetas escondem esses pecados como quem pinta de branco uma parede. Eles têm visões falsas e fazem falsas profecias . Afirmam que falam a palavra do Senhor Deus, mas eu, o Senhor , não falei com eles.
29 The people of the land are guilty of extortion, and practise robbery, and the poor and the needy they defraud: and they extort from the stranger with injustice.
29 Os ricos enganam e roubam. Eles maltratam os pobres e exploram estrangeiros.
30 And I seek now among them for a man, that could erect a fence, and stand in the breach before me in behalf of the land, so that I should not destroy it; but I find none.
30 — Procurei alguém que construísse uma muralha, alguém que ficasse nos lugares onde as muralhas desmoronaram e que defendesse a terra a fim de que a minha ira não a destruísse; porém não encontrei ninguém.
31 And I therefore pour out over them my indignation; with the fire of my wrath do I make an end of them: their own way do I bring upon their head, saith the Lord Eternal.
31 Por isso, farei cair o fogo da minha ira sobre eles e os destruirei como castigo pelo que eles têm feito. Eu, o Senhor Deus, falei.
