Ezequiel 15
Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs ARA
1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
1 Veio a mim a palavra do Senhor , dizendo:
2 Son of man, What shall become of the wood of the vine more than of any other wood, of the branch which was standing among the trees of the forest?
2 Filho do homem, por que mais é o sarmento de videira que qualquer outro, o sarmento que está entre as árvores do bosque?
3 Can wood be taken therefrom to employ it for any work? or will men take from it a pin to hang thereon any vessel?
3 Toma-se dele madeira para fazer alguma obra? Ou toma-se dele alguma estaca, para que se lhe pendure algum objeto?
4 Behold, if it be given up to the fire to be consumed,and the fire have consumed both its ends, and the middle of it be scorched; will it be fit for any work?
4 Eis que é lançado no fogo, para ser consumido; se ambas as suas extremidades consome o fogo, e o meio dele fica também queimado, serviria, acaso, para alguma obra?
5 Behold, when it was yet entire, it could not be employed for any work: how much more must this be when the fire hath consumed it, and it is scorched,and shall it yet be employed for any work?
5 Ora, se, estando inteiro, não servia para obra alguma, quanto menos sendo consumido pelo fogo ou sendo queimado, se faria dele qualquer obra?
6 Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, As the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given up to the fire to be consumed: so do I give up the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
6 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor Deus: Como o sarmento da videira entre as árvores do bosque, que dei ao fogo para que seja consumido, assim entregarei os habitantes de Jerusalém.
7 And I will set my face against them: from the fire have they gone forth, yet the fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I set my face against them.
7 Voltarei o rosto contra eles; ainda que saiam do fogo, o fogo os consumirá; e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor , quando tiver voltado o rosto contra eles.
8 And I will render the land a desert; because they have committed a trespass, saith the Lord Eternal.
8 Tornarei a terra em desolação, porquanto cometeram graves transgressões, diz o Senhor Deus.
