¹ And it shall come to pass, if thou wilt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee highest above all nations of the earth.

¹ E acontecerá que, se ouvires diligentemente a voz do SENHOR teu Deus, para guardar e cumprir todos os seus mandamentos, que te ordeno neste dia, que o SENHOR teu Deus te exaltará acima de todas as nações da terra;

² And all these blessings shall come upon thee, and overtake thee; because thou wilt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.

² e todas estas bênçãos virão a ti, e te alcançarão, se ouvires a voz do SENHOR teu Deus.

³ Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

³ Bendito serás tu na cidade, e bendito serás tu no campo.

⁴ Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy cattle, and the young of thy flocks.

⁴ Bendito será o fruto do teu corpo, e o fruto da tua terra, e o fruto dos teus animais, e o crescimento das tuas vacas, e os rebanhos das tuas ovelhas.

⁵ Blessed shall be thy basket and thy kneadingthrough.

⁵ Bendito será o teu cesto e o teu armazém.

⁶ Blessed shalt thou be at thy coming in, and blessed shalt thou be at thy going out.

⁶ Bendito serás quando entrares e bendito serás quando saíres.

⁷ The Lord will cause thy enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: on one way shall they come out against thee, and on seven ways shall they flee before thee.

⁷ O SENHOR fará com que os inimigos que se levantarem contra ti sejam feridos perante a tua face. Eles sairão contra ti por um caminho, e fugirão diante de ti por sete caminhos.

⁸ The Lord will command upon thee the blessing in thy storehouse, and in all the acquisitions of thy hand; and he trill bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

⁸ O SENHOR ordenará que a bênção esteja contigo nos teus celeiros e em tudo que puseres a tua mão; e te abençoará na terra que o SENHOR teu Deus te der.

⁹ The Lord will raise thee up unto himself as a holy people, as he hath sworn unto thee; if thou wilt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways.

⁹ O SENHOR te estabelecerá como um povo santo para si mesmo, como te jurou, se guardares os mandamentos do SENHOR teu Deus, e andares nos seus caminhos.

¹⁰ And all the nations of the earth shall see, that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee.

¹⁰ E todos os povos da terra verão que és chamado pelo nome do SENHOR; e terão medo de ti.

¹¹ And the Lord will make thee preeminent for good, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord swore unto thy fathers to give unto thee.

¹¹ E o SENHOR te tornará abundante em bens, no fruto do teu ventre, e no fruto dos teus animais, e no fruto da tua terra, na terra que o SENHOR jurou aos teus pais que te daria.

¹² The Lord will open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven, to give the rain of thy land in its season, and to bless all the work of thy hand; and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow.

¹² O SENHOR te abrirá o seu bom tesouro, os céus, para dar chuva à tua terra no seu tempo, e para abençoar toda a obra das tuas mãos; e emprestarás a muitas nações, e tu não pedirás nada emprestado.

¹³ And the Lord will constitute thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt only be uppermost, and thou shalt not be beneath; if thou wilt hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day to observe and to do;

¹³ E o SENHOR fará de ti a cabeça, e não a cauda; e só estarás em cima, e não estarás debaixo; se ouvires os mandamentos do SENHOR teu Deus, que te ordeno neste dia, para que os observes e os cumpras;

¹⁴ And thou wilt not go aside from all the words which I command thee this day, to the right, or to the left, to go after strange gods, to serve them.

¹⁴ e não te desviarás de todas as palavras que te ordeno neste dia, nem para a direita nem para a esquerda, para andares após outros deuses, para os servires.

¹⁵ But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day: that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee.

¹⁵ Mas acontecerá que, se não deres ouvidos à voz do SENHOR teu Deus, para cuidares de cumprir todos os seus mandamentos e os seus estatutos, que te ordeno neste dia, sobre ti virão todas estas maldições e te alcançarão.

¹⁶ Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

¹⁶ Maldito serás tu na cidade, e maldito serás tu no campo.

¹⁷ Cursed shall be thy basket and thy kneadingtrough.

¹⁷ Malditos serão o teu cesto e o teu armazém.

¹⁸ Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy cattle, and the young of the flocks.

¹⁸ Maldito será o fruto do teu ventre, e o fruto da tua terra, e o crescimento das tuas vacas, e os rebanhos das tuas ovelhas.

¹⁹ Cursed shalt thou be at thy coming in, and cursed shalt thou be at thy going out.

¹⁹ Maldito serás tu ao entrares e maldito serás ao saíres.

²⁰ The Lord will send out against thee misfortune, confusion, and failure, in all the occupation of thy hand which thou mayest engage in; until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, that thou hast forsaken me.

²⁰ O SENHOR mandará sobre ti a maldição, a aflição e a repreensão, em tudo que puseres a tua mão para fazer, até que sejas destruído e até que pereças rapidamente, por causa da maldade das tuas obras, com que me deixaste.

²¹ The Lord will cause the pestilence to cleave unto thee, until it have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.

²¹ O SENHOR fará com que a peste se agarre a ti, até que ele te tenha consumido da terra, a qual vais possuir.

²² The Lord will smite thee with consumption, and with fever, and with inflammation, and with extreme burning, and with drought, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou be lost.

²² O SENHOR te ferirá com a tuberculose e com a febre, e com uma inflamação, e com um ardor intenso, e com a espada, e com golpes, e com a ferrugem; e te perseguirão até que pereças.

²³ And thy heavens that are over thy head shall be copper, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.

²³ E os teus céus, que estão sobre a tua cabeça, serão de bronze, e a terra que está debaixo de ti será de ferro.

²⁴ The Lord will give as the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

²⁴ O SENHOR fará que a chuva da tua terra seja pó e poeira; dos céus ela descerá sobre ti, até que sejas destruído.

²⁵ The Lord will cause thee to be smitten before thy enemies: on one way shalt thou go out against them, and on seven ways shalt thou flee before them; and thou shalt become a horror unto all the kingdoms of the earth.

²⁵ O SENHOR fará com que sejas ferido diante de teus inimigos; sairás por um caminho contra eles, e fugirás por sete caminhos perante eles; e serás removido a todos os reinos da terra.

²⁶ And thy carcass shall become food unto all the fowls of the heavens, and unto the beasts of the earth, but with no one to scare them away.

²⁶ E o teu cadáver será alimento a todas as aves do ar, e a todos os animais da terra, e nenhum homem os espantará.

²⁷ The Lord will smite thee with the inflammatory disease of Egypt, and with the hemorrhoids, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou shalt not be able to be healed.

²⁷ O SENHOR te ferirá com as úlceras do Egito, e com tumores, e com sarna, e com coceira, das quais não te poderás curar.

²⁸ The Lord will sinite thee with madness, and with blindness, and with confusion of heart;

²⁸ O SENHOR te ferirá com loucura, e cegueira, e espanto de coração;

²⁹ And thou shalt grope about at noonday, as the blind gropeth about in the darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways; and thou shalt be only oppressed and robbed all the days, but with no one to help.

²⁹ e tatearás ao meio-dia, como o cego tateia na escuridão, e não prosperarás nos teus caminhos; e somente serás oprimido e roubado eternamente; e nenhum homem te salvará.

³⁰ A wife wilt thou betroth, and another man shall lie with her; a house wilt thou build, and thou shalt not dwell therein; a vineyard wilt thou plant, and thou shalt not redeem it.

³⁰ Tomarás uma esposa, e outro homem se deitará com ela; edificarás uma casa, e não habitarás nela; plantarás uma vinha, e não colherás as suas uvas.

³¹ Thy ox shall be slain before thy eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof; thy ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be brought back to thee; thy sheep shall be given unto thy enemies, without any one to help thee.

³¹ Teu boi será morto diante dos teus olhos, e não comerás dele; teu jumento será violentamente tomado diante de tua face, e não te será restituído; as tuas ovelhas serão dadas aos teus inimigos, e não terás ninguém que as resgate.

³² Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thy eyes shall look on, and fail with longing for them all the day long; but without any power in thy hand.

³² Teus filhos e tuas filhas serão dados a outro povo, e os teus olhos olharão e desfalecerão com saudades deles todo o dia; e não haverá poder na tua mão.

³³ The fruit of thy soil, and all thy exertion, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt only be oppressed and crushed all the days.

³³ Uma nação que não conheces comerá o fruto da tua terra, e todo o teu trabalho, e serás somente oprimido e esmagado sempre,

³⁴ And thou shalt become mad from the sight of thy eyes which thou wilt see.

³⁴ assim ficarás enlouquecido pelo que os teus olhos virem.

³⁵ The Lord will smite thee with a sore inflammation upon the knees, and upon the legs, of which thou shalt not be able to be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.

³⁵ O SENHOR te ferirá nos joelhos, e nas pernas, com uma úlcera dolorosa que não pode ser curada, desde a sola de teu pé até o topo da tua cabeça.

³⁶ The Lord will drive thee, and thy king whom thou wilt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and thou wilt serve there strange gods, of wood and stone.

³⁶ O SENHOR te trará, e ao teu rei, que colocares sobre ti, uma nação que nem tu, nem teus pais conheceram; e ali servirás a outros deuses, madeira e pedra.

³⁷ And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all the nations whither the Lord will lead thee.

³⁷ E te tornarás um espanto, um provérbio e um ludíbrio entre todas as nações a que o SENHOR te levar.

³⁸ Much seed wilt thou carry out into the field, yet but little shalt thou gather in; for the locust shall consume it.

³⁸ Lançarás muita semente ao campo, e colherás pouco, porque a locusta a comerá.

³⁹ Vineyards wilt thou plant and dress; but wine shalt thou not drink nor lay up; for the worms shall eat them.

³⁹ Plantarás vinhas, e as cultivarás, mas não beberás o vinho, nem colherás as uvas, porque os bichos as comerão.

⁴⁰ Olivetrees wilt thou have throughout all thy borders; but with the oil shalt thou not anoint thyself; for thy olive shall cast the fruit.

⁴⁰ Terás oliveiras por todos os teus termos, mas não te ungirás com o azeite, pois as tuas oliveiras expulsarão os seus frutos.

⁴¹ Sons and daughters wilt thou beget; but they shall not remain thine: for they shall go into captivity.

⁴¹ Gerarás filhos e filhas, mas não serão para ti porque irão em cativeiro.

⁴² All thy trees and the fruit of thy land shall the cricket strip bare.

⁴² Todas as tuas árvores e o fruto da tua terra a locusta consumirá.

⁴³ The stranger that is in the midst of thee shall get up above thee higher and higher; but thou shalt come down lower and lower;

⁴³ O estrangeiro que está no meio de ti se elevará acima de ti, muito alto, e tu descerás muito baixo.

⁴⁴ He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him; he shall become the head, and thou shalt become the tail.

⁴⁴ Ele emprestará a ti, e tu não emprestarás a ele; ele será a cabeça, e tu serás a cauda.

⁴⁵ And there shall come upon thee all these curses, and they shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou didst not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he hath commanded thee;

⁴⁵ Além disso, todas essas maldições te virão, e te perseguirão, e te dominarão, até que sejas destruído; porque não ouviste a voz do SENHOR teu Deus, para guardares os seus mandamentos e os seus estatutos que ele te ordenou.

⁴⁶ And they shall remain on thee for a sign and for a token, and on thy seed, for ever.

⁴⁶ E elas estarão sobre ti, como um sinal e um prodígio, e sobre a tua semente para sempre.

⁴⁷ For the reason that thou didst not serve the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, while there was an abundance of all things;

⁴⁷ Porque não serviste ao SENHOR teu Deus com alegria e com gozo de coração, pela abundância de todas as coisas;

⁴⁸ Therefore shalt thou serve thy enemies whom the Lord will send out against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of every thing; and they will put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until they have destroyed thee.

⁴⁸ portanto, servirás a teus inimigos, que o SENHOR enviará contra ti, com fome, e com sede, e com nudez, e com escassez de todas as coisas; e ele porá um jugo de ferro no teu pescoço, até que te tenha destruído.

⁴⁹ The Lord will bring up against thee a nation from afar, from the end of the earth, as the eagle rusheth down; a nation whose tongue thou wilt not understand;

⁴⁹ O SENHOR trará contra ti uma nação distante, da extremidade da terra, veloz como o voo da águia; uma nação cuja língua não entenderás;

⁵⁰ A nation of a fierce countenance, that will not have respect for the old, nor show favor to the young;

⁵⁰ uma nação de aspecto feroz, que não terá respeito pelo velho, nem mostrará benevolência ao jovem;

⁵¹ And it will eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy soil, until thou be destroyed; so that it will not leave unto thee corn, wine, or oil, the increase of thy cattle, or the young of thy flocks, until it have ruined thee.

⁵¹ e ela comerá do fruto do teu gado, e o fruto da tua terra, até que sejas destruído; e tampouco te deixará grão, vinho, azeite, ou o aumento das tuas vacas, ou os rebanhos de tuas ovelhas, até que te tenha destruído.

⁵² And it will besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and strong walls come down, wherein thou trustest, throughout all thy land; and it will besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the Lord thy God hath given thee.

⁵² E ela te sitiará em todas as tuas portas, até que caiam teus muros altos e fortes em que confiavas, por toda a tua terra; e ela te sitiará em todas as tuas portas, por toda a tua terra, que o SENHOR teu Deus te deu.

⁵³ And thou shalt eat the fruit of thy own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, whom the Lord thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thy enemy will distress thee.

⁵³ E comerás o fruto do teu próprio corpo, a carne de teus filhos e de tuas filhas, que o SENHOR teu Deus te deu, no cerco e no apuro com que teus inimigos te afligirem;

⁵⁴ The man that is the most tender among thee, and who is very delicate,his eye shall look enviously toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children whom he may spare;

⁵⁴ de modo que o homem que for terno entre vós, e muito dócil, seus olhos serão malignos para com seu irmão, e para com a esposa do seu seio, e para com o restante de seus filhos, que ele deixar;

⁵⁵ So as not to give to any of them of the flesh of his children which he may eat; because there is nothing left unto him, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thy enemy will distress thee in all thy gates.

⁵⁵ assim ele não dará a nenhum deles a carne de seus filhos, que ele comerá; porque não lhe sobrou nada no cerco e no apuro com que teus inimigos te afligirá em todas as tuas portas.

⁵⁶ The woman, the most tender among thee, and the most delicate, who hath never adventured to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness,her eye shall look enviously toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,

⁵⁶ A mulher terna e delicada entre vós, que não se aventura a colocar a planta de seu pé no chão da delicadeza e da ternura, seus olhos serão malignos para com o esposo do seu seio, e para o seu filho, e para a sua filha,

⁵⁷ And toward her young one that is come from between her feet, and toward her children which she hath born; for she shall eat them for want of every thing secretly, in the siege and in the straitness, wherewith thy enemy will distress thee in thy gates.

⁵⁷ e para com a placenta que lhe sair entre os pés, e para com os filhos que terá; porque ela os comerá secretamente, por falta de todas as coisas, no cerco e no apuro, com que o teu inimigo te afligirá em tuas portas.

⁵⁸ If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law which are written in this book; to fear this glorious and fearful name, the Lord thy God:

⁵⁸ Se não cuidares de cumprir todas as palavras desta lei, que estão escritas neste livro, para que possas temer esse glorioso e terrível nome, O SENHOR Teu Deus;

⁵⁹ Then will the Lord render peculiar thy plagues, and the plagues of thy seed, plagues great, and of long continuance, and sicknesses sore, and of long continuance.

⁵⁹ então o SENHOR fará maravilhosas as tuas pragas, e as pragas da tua semente, e grandes pragas, e de longa duração, e enfermidades dolorosas e prolongadas.

⁶⁰ And he will bring back upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, of which thou wast afraid; and they shall cleave unto thee.

⁶⁰ Além disso, ele te trará todas as enfermidades do Egito, que temias, e elas se agarrarão a ti.

⁶¹ Also every sickness, and every plague which is not written in the book of this law, will the Lord bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

⁶¹ Também o SENHOR te trará toda enfermidade, e toda praga, que não estiver escrita no livro desta lei, até que sejas destruído.

⁶² And ye shall be left but few in number, instead of that ye once were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou didst not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.

⁶² E sereis poucos em número, mesmo tendo sido numerosos como as estrelas dos céus; porque não quisestes obedecer à voz do SENHOR teu Deus.

⁶³ And it shall come to pass, that, as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you, so will the Lord rejoice over you to bring you to nought, and to destroy you; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.

⁶³ E acontecerá que, assim como o SENHOR se alegrava convosco, para fazer-vos bem e multiplicar-vos, também o SENHOR se alegrará sobre vós, para vos destruir, e vos reduzir a nada; e sereis arrancados da terra que fostes a possuir.

⁶⁴ And the Lord will scatter thee among all the nations, from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; and there wilt thou serve strange gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.

⁶⁴ E o SENHOR vos espalhará entre todos os povos, desde uma extremidade da terra até a outra; e ali servirás outros deuses, que nem tu nem teus pais conheceram, até mesmo madeira e pedra.

⁶⁵ And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, and there shall not be any rest for the sole of thy foot: and the Lord will give thee there a trembling heart, and a failing of eyes, and a faintness of soul.

⁶⁵ E entre essas nações não terás descanso, nem a planta do teu pé terá descanso; mas o SENHOR te dará um coração trêmulo, e olhos desfalecidos, e tristeza de mente,

⁶⁶ And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt be in dread day and night, and thou shalt have no confidence of thy life;

⁶⁶ e a tua vida estará como suspensa diante de ti; e temerás dia e noite, e não terás certeza de tua vida;

⁶⁷ In the morning thou wilt say, Who would but grant that it were only evening! and at evening thou wilt say, Who would but grant that it were only morning! from the dread of thy heart which thou wilt experience, and from the sight of thy eyes which thou wilt see.

⁶⁷ pela manhã, dirás: Quisera Deus que fosse noite! E pela noite dirás: Quisera Deus que fosse manhã! Isso, pelo temor do teu coração com que temerás, e pela visão que os teus olhos verão.

⁶⁸ And the Lord will bring thee back to Egypt in ships, by the way whereof I have spoken unto thee, Thou shalt no more see it again: and there will ye offer yourselves for sale unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, without any one to buy you.

⁶⁸ E o SENHOR te levará outra vez ao Egito em barcos, pelo caminho de que te falei: Não mais o verás; e ali sereis vendidos aos vossos inimigos, como servos e servas, e nenhum homem vos comprará.
