1 Thou shalt not see thy brothers ox or his lamb go astray, and withdraw thyself from them: thou shalt surely bring them back again unto thy brother.
1 — Se você notar que um boi ou uma ovelha de seu compatriota se extraviou, não se omita, mas, sem falta, leve os animais de volta ao dono.
2 But if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or thou know him not: then shalt thou take it unto thy own house, and it shall remain with thee until thy brother inquire after it, and then shalt thou restore it to him.
2 Se este não for o seu vizinho ou for alguém que você não conhece, leve os animais para casa e fique com eles até que o dono venha buscá-los; então você os entregará a ele.
3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and in like manner shalt thou do with his raiment; and in like manner shalt thou do with every lost thing of thy brothers, which may have been lost to him, and which thou hast found; thou art not at liberty to withdraw thyself.
3 Faça o mesmo com o jumento, com a roupa, ou com qualquer outra coisa que o seu compatriota perder e que você achar; você não pode se omitir.
4 Thou shalt not see thy brothers ass or his ox fallen down by the way, and withdraw thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.
4 — Se você enxergar o jumento ou o boi que pertence ao seu compatriota caído no caminho, não se omita; sem falta ajude-o a levantar o animal.
5 A woman shall not have upon her the apparel of a man, and a man shall not put on a womans garment; for an abomination unto the Lord thy God are all who do this.
5 — A mulher não deve usar roupa de homem, e o homem não deve vestir roupa de mulher, pois quem faz isso é abominável ao Senhor , seu Deus.
6 If a birds nest chance to be before thee in the way, on any tree, or on the ground, with young ones, or with eggs, and the mother be sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs: thou shalt not take the mother with the young;
6 — Se, no caminho, você encontrar um ninho de ave, em alguma árvore ou no chão, com passarinhos ou ovos, e a mãe sobre os passarinhos ou sobre os ovos, não pegue a mãe com os filhotes.
7 But thou shalt surely let the mother go, and the young thou mayest take to thyself; in order that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest live many days.
7 Você pode ficar com os filhotes, mas deixe a mãe ir, livremente, para que tudo vá bem com você, e para que você prolongue os seus dias.
8 When thou buildest a new house, thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof; that thou bring not blood upon thy house, if any one were to fall from there.
8 — Quando você construir uma casa nova, faça um parapeito no terraço, para que você não traga culpa de sangue sobre a casa, se alguém de algum modo cair do terraço.
9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds; that the ripe fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of the vineyard, be not defiled.
9 — Não plante outra semente na sua vinha, para que não se profane toda a produção, tanto da vinha quanto da semente que você plantou.
10 Thou shalt not plough with an ox and an ass together.
10 — Não lavre a terra com junta de boi e jumento.
11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, of woolen and linen together.
11 — Não vista roupa feita de pano de lã e linho misturados.
12 Thou shalt make thyself fringes upon the four corners of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.
12 — Coloque franjas nos quatro cantos do manto que você usa.
13 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,
13 — Se um homem casar com uma mulher, e, depois de ter tido relações com ela, passar a odiá-la,
14 And he lay an accusation against her, and spread abroad an evil name upon her, and say, This woman I took for wife, and when I came near to her, I found no tokens of virginity in her:
14 e lhe atribuir atos vergonhosos, e a difamar, dizendo: “Casei com esta mulher e, quando tive relações com ela, descobri que não era virgem”,
15 Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsels virginity unto the elders of the city, to the gate.
15 então o pai e a mãe da moça levarão as provas da virgindade da moça aos anciãos da cidade, junto ao portão.
16 And the father of the damsel shall say unto the elders, My daughter I gave unto this man for wife; but he hath conceived hatred toward her;
16 O pai da moça dirá aos anciãos: “Dei minha filha por mulher a este homem, porém ele passou a odiá-la.
17 And, lo, he hath laid an accusation against her, saying, I have found no tokens of virginity in thy daughter; and yet these are the tokens of my daughters virginity; and they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
17 Eis que lhe atribuiu atos vergonhosos, dizendo: ‘Descobri que a sua filha não era virgem.’ Mas aqui estão as provas da virgindade de minha filha.” E estenderão a roupa dela diante dos anciãos da cidade,
18 And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;
18 os quais pegarão o homem, o açoitarão
19 And they shall amerce him in a hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel; because he hath spread abroad an evil name upon a virgin of Israel; and she shall remain his wife; he shall not be at liberty to put her away all his days.
19 e o condenarão a pagar cem barras de prata ao pai da moça, porque difamou uma virgem de Israel. Ela ficará sendo mulher dele, e ele não poderá mandá-la embora durante a sua vida.
20 But if this thing was true, there have not been found tokens of virginity in the damsel:
20 — Porém, se isso for verdade, ou seja, se ficar provado que a moça não era virgem,
21 Then shall they lead out the damsel to the door of her fathers house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die; because she hath wrought a disgraceful deed in Israel, to commit incest in her fathers house; and thou shalt put away the evil from the midst of thee.
21 então a levarão à porta da casa de seu pai, e os homens de sua cidade a apedrejarão até que morra, pois cometeu um ato infame em Israel, prostituindo-se na casa de seu pai. Assim vocês eliminarão o mal do meio de vocês.
22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to a husband: then shall both of them die, the man that lieth with the woman, and the woman; and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.
22 — Se um homem for encontrado deitado com uma mulher que tem marido, ambos devem ser mortos, o homem que se deitou com a mulher e a mulher. Assim vocês eliminarão o mal de Israel.
23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto a man, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her:
23 — Se uma moça virgem tiver casamento contratado, e outro homem a encontrar na cidade e tiver relações com ela,
24 Then shall ye lead them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not for aid in the city; and the man, because he hath done violence to his neighbors wife; and thou shalt put away the evil from the midst of thee.
24 vocês devem trazer ambos ao portão daquela cidade e apedrejá-los até que morram; a moça, porque não gritou por socorro, estando na cidade, e o homem, porque humilhou a mulher do seu próximo. Assim vocês eliminarão o mal do meio de vocês.
25 But if in the field the man should find the betrothed damsel, and the man take hold of her by force, and lie with her: then shall the man that lay with her die alone;
25 — Porém, se um homem, no campo, encontrar uma moça que tem casamento contratado, e a forçar, e tiver relações com ela, então morrerá só o homem que teve relações com ela;
26 But unto the damsel shalt thou not do any thing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death; for as when a man riseth against his neighbor, and striketh him dead. even so is this matter;
26 à moça vocês não devem fazer nada; ela não tem culpa de morte, porque este caso é semelhante ao do homem que se levanta contra o seu próximo e lhe tira a vida.
27 For in the field did he find her; had the betrothed damsel even cried, there would have been none to aid her.
27 Pois o homem encontrou a moça no campo; a moça que tinha o casamento contratado gritou, e não houve quem a livrasse.
28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, who is not betrothed, and lay fast hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found:
28 — Se um homem encontrar uma moça virgem, que não tem casamento contratado, e a pegar à força, e tiver relações com ela, e eles forem apanhados,
29 Then shall the man who lieth with her give unto the father of the damsel fifty shekels of silver; and she shall become his wife, because he hath done violence to her, he shall not be at liberty to put her away all his days.
29 então o homem que teve relações com ela pagará ao pai da moça cinquenta barras de prata; e, uma vez que a humilhou, terá de recebê-la por esposa; não poderá mandá-la embora durante a sua vida.
30 — ausente —
30 — Nenhum homem terá relações com a sua madrasta e não profanará o leito de seu pai.
