1 At that time the Lord said unto me, Hew for thyself two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount; and make thyself an ark of wood.
1 Naquela ocasião o Senhor me ordenou: "Corte duas tábuas de pedra, como as primeiras, e suba para encontrar-se comigo no monte. Faça também uma arca de madeira.
2 And I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables which thou hast broken; and thou shalt put them in the ark.
2 Eu escreverei nas tábuas as palavras que estavam nas primeiras, que você quebrou, e você as colocará na arca".
3 And I made an ark of shittimwood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and I went up into the mount, with the two tables in my hand.
3 Então fiz a arca de madeira de acácia, cortei duas tábuas de pedra como as primeiras e subi o monte com as duas tábuas nas mãos.
4 And he wrote on the tables, like the first writing, the ten commandments, which the Lord had spoken unto you on the mount out of the midst of the fire on the day of the assembly; and the Lord gave them unto me.
4 O Senhor escreveu nelas o que tinha escrito anteriormente, os Dez Mandamentos que havia proclamado a vocês no monte, do meio do fogo, no dia em que estavam todos reunidos. O Senhor as entregou a mim,
5 And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and I put the tables in the ark which I had made; and they have remained there, as the Lord hath commanded me.
5 e eu voltei, desci do monte e coloquei as tábuas na arca que eu tinha feito. E lá ficaram, conforme o Senhor tinha ordenado.
6 And the children of Israel took their journey from the wells of the children of Yaakan to Mosserah: there Aaron died, and he was buried there; and Elazar his son became priest in his stead.
6 ( Os israelitas partiram dos poços dos jaacanitas e foram até Moserá. Ali Arão morreu e foi sepultado, e o seu filho Eleazar foi o seu sucessor como sacerdote.
7 From there they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Yotbatha, a land of brooks of waters.
7 Dali foram para Gudgodá e de lá para Jotbatá, terra de riachos.
8 At that time did the Lord separate the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.
8 Naquela ocasião o Senhor separou a tribo de Levi para carregar a arca da aliança do Senhor, para estar perante o Senhor a fim de ministrar e pronunciar bênçãos em seu nome, como se faz ainda hoje.
9 Therefore was not assigned unto Levi any portion or inheritance with his brethren: the Lord is his inheritance, as the Lord thy God hath spoken to him.
9 É por isso que os levitas não têm nenhuma porção de terra ou herança entre os seus irmãos; o Senhor é a sua herança, conforme o Senhor, o seu Deus, lhes havia prometido. )
10 And I stayed on the mount, like the first days, forty days and forty nights; and the Lord hearkened unto me also at that time, the Lord would not destroy thee.
10 Assim eu fiquei no monte quarenta dias e quarenta noites, como da primeira vez; e também desta vez o Senhor me atendeu e não quis destruí-los.
11 And the Lord said unto me, Arise, go on the journey before the people, that they may go in and take possession of the land, which I have sworn unto their fathers to give unto them.
11 "Vá", o Senhor me disse. "Conduza o povo em seu caminho, para que tomem posse da terra que jurei aos seus antepassados que lhes daria. "
12 And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
12 E agora, ó Israel, que é que o Senhor seu Deus pede de você, senão que tema o Senhor, o seu Deus, que ande em todos os seus caminhos, que o ame e que sirva ao Senhor, ao seu Deus, de todo o seu coração e de toda a sua alma,
13 To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day, for thy own good?
13 e que obedeça aos mandamentos e aos decretos do Senhor, que hoje lhe dou para o seu próprio bem?
14 Behold, to the Lord thy God belong the heavens and the heavens of heavens, and the earth with all that is thereon;
14 Ao Senhor, ao seu Deus, pertencem os céus e até os mais altos céus, a terra e tudo o que nela existe.
15 Yet only in thy fathers had the Lord delight, to love them; he chose, therefore, their seed after them, namely you, from all the nations, as it is this day.
15 No entanto, o Senhor se afeiçoou aos seus antepassados e os amou, e a vocês, descendentes deles, escolheu entre todas as nações, como hoje se vê.
16 Remove therefore the obduracy of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
16 Sejam fiéis à sua aliança em seus corações, e deixem de ser obstinados.
17 For the Lord your God is the God of gods, and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who hath no regard to persons, and taketh no bribe;
17 Pois o Senhor, o seu Deus, é o Deus dos deuses e o Soberano dos soberanos, o grande Deus, poderoso e temível, que não age com parcialidade nem aceita suborno.
18 Who executeth justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loveth the stranger, to give him food and raiment.
18 Ele defende a causa do órfão e da viúva e ama o estrangeiro, dando-lhe alimento e roupa.
19 Love ye then the stranger; for you have been strangers in the land of Egypt.
19 Amem os estrangeiros, pois vocês mesmos foram estrangeiros no Egito.
20 The Lord thy God shalt thou fear: him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and by his name shalt thou swear.
20 Temam o Senhor, o seu Deus, e sirvam-no. Apeguem-se a ele e façam os seus juramentos somente em nome dele.
21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, who hath done for thee these great and fearful things, which thy own eyes have seen.
21 Seja ele o motivo do seu louvor, pois ele é o seu Deus, que por vocês fez aquelas grandes e temíveis maravilhas que vocês viram com os próprios olhos.
22 With seventy persons did thy fathers go down into Egypt; and now the Lord thy God hath made thee like the stars of heaven in multitude.
22 Os seus antepassados que desceram ao Egito eram setenta ao todo, mas agora o Senhor, o seu Deus, os tornou tão numerosos quanto as estrelas do céu.
