1 In the first year of Darius the son of Achashverosh, of the seed of the Medes, who was made king over the kingdom of the Chaldeans,
1 No primeiro ano de Dario, o filho de Assuero, da semente dos medos, o qual foi feito rei sobre o reino dos Caldeus;
2 In the first year of his reign, I Daniel searched in the books for understanding concerning the number of the years whereof the word of the Lord had come to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would let pass full seventy years over the ruins of Jerusalem.
2 no primeiro ano do seu reinado, eu, Daniel, entendi pelos livros que o número dos anos, a respeito dos quais a palavra do SENHOR veio ao profeta Jeremias, era de setenta anos, quando se completariam as desolações de Jerusalém,
3 And I directed my face unto the Lord God, to ask by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and in sackcloth, and ashes.
3 E coloquei a minha face diante do Senhor Deus, para buscá-lo com oração e súplicas, com jejum, e vestimenta de pano de saco e cinzas;
4 And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and terrible God, who keepeth the covenant and kindness to those that love him, and to those that keep his commandments:
4 e eu orei ao SENHOR meu Deus, e fiz minha confissão, e disse: Ó Senhor, o grande e temível Deus, que mantém o pacto e a misericórdia para com aqueles que o amam, e para com aqueles que guardam os seus mandamentos;
5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, and have departed from thy commandments and from thy ordinances;
5 nós pecamos e cometemos iniquidade, e nos portamos impiamente, e nos rebelamos, e até nos afastamos de teus preceitos e dos teus juízos;
6 Nor have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, who spoke in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
6 nem escutamos teus servos, os profetas, que falaram em teu nome aos nossos reis, nossos príncipes e nossos pais, e para todo o povo da terra.
7 Thine, O Lord, is the righteousness, but unto us belongeth the shame of face, as it is this day,to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, those that are near, and those that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass which they have trespassed against thee.
7 Ó Senhor, justiça pertence a ti, porém a nós confusão de faces, como neste dia, para os homens de Judá, e para os habitantes de Jerusalém, e para todo Israel, aqueles que estão próximos e aqueles que estão distantes, em todas as nações para onde tu os conduziste, por causa da transgressão que cometeram contra ti.
8 O Lord, to us belongeth the shame of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers; because we have sinned against thee.
8 Ó Senhor, a nós pertence a confusão de face, aos nossos reis, aos nossos príncipes e aos nossos pais, porque pecamos contra ti.
9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and pardonings; for we have rebelled against him;
9 Ao Senhor nosso Deus pertencem as misericórdias e o perdão, embora tenhamos nos rebelado contra ele;
10 And we have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us through means of his servants the prophets.
10 e não tenhamos obedecido a voz do SENHOR nosso Deus, para andar nas suas leis, que ele colocou diante de nós pelos seus servos, os profetas.
11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, and have departed so as not to obey thy voice: therefore was poured out over us the curse, with the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God; because we had sinned against him.
11 Sim, todo o Israel transgrediu a tua lei, afastando-se para não obedecerem a tua voz; portanto a maldição está derramada sobre nós, e o juramento que está escrito na lei de Moisés, o servo de Deus, porque nós pecamos contra ele.
12 And he hath accomplished his words, which he had spoken concerning us, and concerning our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil, which was never done under the whole heaven as it hath been done in Jerusalem.
12 E ele confirmou as suas palavras, que falou contra nós, e contra os nossos juízes que nos julgavam, trazendo sobre nós um grande mal; pois sob todo o céu não se tem feito como se fez sobre Jerusalém.
13 As it is written in the law of Moses; all this evil came over us: yet offered we not any entreaty before the Lord our God, to return from our iniquities, and to become intelligent in thy truth.
13 Como está escrito na lei de Moisés, todo este mal nos sobreveio; contudo não fizemos nós nossa oração perante o SENHOR nosso Deus, para que nos desviássemos de nossas iniquidades, e entendêssemos a tua verdade.
14 Therefore did the Lord watch over the evil, and he brought it upon us; for the Lord our God is righteous because of all his deeds which he hath done; but we have not obeyed his voice.
14 Portanto o SENHOR vigiou sobre o mal, e o trouxe sobre nós, pois o SENHOR nosso Deus é justo em todas as obras que faz, pois nós não obedecemos a sua voz.
15 And now, O Lord our God, who hast brought forth thy people out of the land of Egypt with a strong hand, and hast made thyself a great name, as it is this day: we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
15 E agora, ó Senhor nosso Deus, que tiraste o teu povo da terra do Egito com mão poderosa, e trouxeste renome para ti, como neste dia; nós pecamos, nós nos portamos impiamente.
16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thy anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain; because through our sins, and through the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all who are round about us.
16 Ó Senhor, conforme toda a tua justiça, suplico-te, desvia a tua ira e a tua fúria da tua cidade Jerusalém, teu santo monte; porque por nossos pecados e pelas iniquidades de nossos pais, Jerusalém e teu povo tornaram-se uma desonra para todos os que estão ao nosso redor.
17 And now listen, O our God, to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary which is desolate, for the sake of the Lord.
17 Agora, portanto, ó nosso Deus, ouve a oração de teu servo, e as suas súplicas, e faz a tua face brilhar sobre o teu santuário, que está desolado, por causa do Senhor.
18 Incline, O my God, thy ear, and hear; open thy eyes, and look on our desolations, and the city whereupon thy name is called: for not relying on our acts of righteousness do we present humbly our supplications before thee, but relying on thy great mercies.
18 Ó meu Deus, inclina teus ouvidos e ouve; abre teus olhos, e observa nossas desolações, e a cidade que é chamada pelo teu nome; pois nós não apresentamos nossas súplicas perante a ti por nossas justiças, mas por tuas grandes misericórdias.
19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do it; delay it not; for thy own sake, O my God; for thy name is called upon thy city and upon thy people.
19 Ó Senhor, ouve; ó Senhor, perdoa; ó Senhor, escuta e faz, não retardes, por causa de ti mesmo, ó meu Deus; pois a tua cidade e o teu povo são chamados pelo teu nome.
20 And while I was yet speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication humbly before the Lord my God because of the holy mountain of my God:
20 E enquanto eu estava falando, e orando, e confessando meu pecado, e o pecado do meu povo Israel, e apresentando minha súplica perante o SENHOR meu Deus, pelo santo monte do meu Deus;
21 Yea, while I was yet speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, came, flying swiftly, near me about the time of the evening oblation.
21 sim, enquanto eu estava falando em oração, o homem Gabriel, a quem eu tinha visto na visão no princípio, impelido a voar rapidamente, tocou-me por volta da oblação da tarde.
22 And he gave me understanding, and spoke with me, and said, O Daniel, now am I come forth to make thee intelligent with understanding.
22 E ele informou-me, e falou comigo, e disse: Ó Daniel, eu saio agora para dar-te habilidade e entendimento.
23 At the beginning of thy supplications the word went forth, and I am come to tell it; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and have understanding of the appearance.
23 No início de tuas súplicas veio a ordem, e eu venho para mostrar-te; pois tu és grandemente amado; portanto entende a questão, e considera a visão.
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to close up the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to atone for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy thing.
24 Setenta semanas são determinadas sobre o teu povo e sobre a tua santa cidade, para terminar a transgressão, e pôr um fim nos pecados, e fazer reconciliação por causa da iniquidade, e trazer a justiça eterna, e selar a visão e profecia, e para ungir o Santíssimo.
25 Know therefore and comprehend, that from the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the anointed the prince will be seven weeks: and during sixty and two weeks will it be again built with streets and ditches around it, even in the pressure of the times.
25 Saiba, portanto e entenda, que desde a saída do mandamento de restaurar e construir Jerusalém, até o Messias, o Príncipe, serão sete semanas, e sessenta e duas semanas; a rua será construída novamente, e o muro, mesmo em tempos tenebrosos.
26 And after the sixty and two weeks will an anointed one be cut off without a successor to follow him: and the city and the sanctuary will the people of the prince that is coming destroy; but his end will come in a violent overthrow; but until the end of the war devastations are decreed against it.
26 E após sessenta e duas semanas o Messias será cortado, porém não por si mesmo; e o povo do príncipe que virá, destruirá a cidade e o santuário; e o seu fim será com uma inundação, e até o final da guerra desolações estão determinadas.
27 And he will make a strong covenant with the many for one week; and in the half of the week will he cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and this because of the prevalence of the abominations which bringeth devastation, and until destruction and what is decreed shall be poured out upon the waster.
27 E ele confirmará o pacto com muitos por uma semana, e no meio da semana ele fará cessar o sacrifício e a oblação, e pela disseminação das abominações ele a desolará, até a consumação; e aquilo determinado será derramado sobre o desolado.
