Leeser Old Testament (LEESER) vs NAA
1 Woe to those that are free from care in Zion, and that are in safety on the mount of Samaria, who are named the chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel come!
1 “Ai dos que andam à vontade em Sião e dos que vivem sem receio no monte de Samaria, homens notáveis da principal das nações, aos quais se dirige a casa de Israel!
2 Pass ye over unto Calneh, and see; and go from there to Chamathrabbah; then go down to Gath of the Philistines: whether they be better than these kingdoms? or whether their territory be greater than your territory?
2 Vão à cidade de Calné e olhem. Dali, vão à grande cidade de Hamate e, depois, desçam até Gate dos filisteus. Será que eles são melhores do que os reinos de vocês? Ou será que o território deles é maior do que o de vocês?
3 Ye that deem far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;
3 Vocês imaginam que o dia mau está longe, mas estão fazendo com que o trono da violência se aproxime.
4 That lie upon beds of ivory, and are stretched out upon their couches, and eat lambs out of the flock, and calves out of the midst of the stall;
4 Vocês dormem em camas de marfim e se espreguiçam sobre os seus leitos. Comem os cordeiros do rebanho e os bezerros que estão na engorda.
5 That chant to the sound of the psaltery, and like Davids do they imagine their instrument of music to be;
5 Ficam cantando à toa ao som da lira e, como Davi, inventam instrumentos musicais.
6 That drink out of winebowls, and anoint themselves with the costliest of ointments; but who feel no pain for the wound of Joseph.
6 Bebem vinho em taças e se ungem com o mais excelente óleo, mas não se afligem com a ruína de José.
7 Therefore now shall they go into exile at the head of exiles, and the noisy banquet of those that were stretched out shall pass away.
7 Portanto, vocês estarão entre os primeiros que serão levados para o cativeiro, e cessarão as festanças dos que gostam de se espreguiçar.”
8 The Lord Eternal hath sworn by his own existence, saith the Lord the God of hosts, I abhor the pride of Jacob, and his palaces do I hate: therefore will I surrender up to the enemy the city with all that filleth it.
8 O Senhor Deus jurou por si mesmo. O Senhor , o Deus dos Exércitos, diz: “Eu detesto o orgulho de Jacó e odeio os seus palácios. Abandonarei a cidade e tudo o que nela há.”
9 And it shall come to pass, that if there remain ten men in one house, they shall die.
9 Se numa casa ficarem dez homens, também esses morrerão.
10 And should a mans uncle or relative carry him forth, to bring out the bones out of the house, and say unto him that is in the recesses of the house, Is there yet any one with thee? he will say, There is no one left. Then will he say, Be silent; for we may not make mention of the name of the Lord.
10 E, se um parente chegado, o qual os há de queimar, pega os cadáveres para os levar para fora da casa e pergunta ao que estiver lá dentro: “Há mais alguém com você?” E este responder: “Não, não há”; então lhe dirá: “Cale-se! Não mencione o nome do Senhor .”
11 For, behold, the Lord commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.
11 Pois eis que o Senhor ordena, e será destroçada a casa grande, e a pequena será feita em pedaços.
12 Do horses ever run upon the rock? or will one plough there with oxen? that ye have turned justice into poison, and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood;
12 “Será que os cavalos podem correr sobre as rochas? Será que é possível lavrá-las com bois? No entanto, vocês transformaram o juízo em veneno e o fruto da justiça, em alosna.
13 Ye who rejoice for a thing of naught, who say, Have we not through our own strength procured ourselves horns?
13 Vocês se alegram por terem conquistado Lo-Debar, e dizem: ‘Não é fato que, com as nossas próprias forças, nos apoderamos de Carnaim?’
14 For, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the Lord the God of hosts, and they shall oppress you from the entrance of Chamath unto the brook of the wilderness.
14 Pois eis que trarei contra vocês, ó casa de Israel, uma nação que os oprimirá, desde a entrada de Hamate até o ribeiro da Arabá”, diz o o Deus dos Exércitos.
