1 And Solomon began to build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem on mount Moriah, where He had appeared unto David his father, on the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
1 E começou Salomão a edificar a Casa do Senhor em Jerusalém, no monte Moriá, onde o Senhor se tinha mostrado a Davi, seu pai, no lugar que Davi tinha preparado na eira de Ornã, o jebuseu.
2 And he began to build on the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.
2 E começou a edificar no segundo mês, no dia segundo, no ano quarto do seu reinado.
3 Now in this manner was the foundation laid of the house of God at its building by Solomon: The length by cubits after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
3 E estes foram os fundamentos que Salomão pôs para edificar a Casa de Deus: o comprimento em côvados, segundo a medida primeira, de sessenta côvados, e a largura, de vinte côvados.
4 And the porch that was in the front of the length was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was a hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.
4 E o alpendre que estava na frente, de comprimento, segundo a largura da casa, era de vinte côvados, e a altura, de cento e vinte, o que, dentro, cobriu com ouro puro.
5 And the great house he ceiled with firwood, which he overlaid with pure gold, and he wrought thereon palmtrees and chains.
5 E a casa grande forrou com madeira de faia, e, então, a cobriu com ouro fino, e fez sobre ela palmas e cadeias.
6 And he overlaid the house with costly stones for ornament: and the gold was gold of Parvayim.
6 Também a casa adornou de pedras preciosas para ornamento; e o ouro era ouro de Parvaim.
7 And he covered the house, the beams, the sills, and its walls, and its doors, with gold: and he engraved cherubim on the walls.
7 Também na casa cobriu as traves, e os umbrais, e as suas paredes, e as suas portas, com ouro; e lavrou querubins nas paredes.
8 And he made the most holy house, its length being in front of the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and its breadth twenty cubits: and he covered it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.
8 Fez mais a Casa da Santidade das Santidades, cujo comprimento, segundo a largura da casa, era de vinte côvados, e a sua largura, de vinte côvados; e cobriu-a de ouro fino, do peso de seiscentos talentos.
9 And the weight of the nails amounted to fifty shekels of gold. And the upper chambers he covered with gold.
9 O peso dos pregos era de cinquenta siclos de ouro; e cobriu de ouro os cenáculos.
10 And he made in the most holy house two cherubim of sculpture work, and they overlaid them with gold.
10 Também fez na Casa da Santidade das Santidades dois querubins na forma de andantes e cobriu-os de ouro.
11 And regarding the wings of the cherubim their length was twenty cubits; the wing of the one amounting to five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing of five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.
11 E, quanto às asas dos querubins, o seu comprimento era de vinte côvados; a asa de um deles, de cinco côvados, tocava na parede da casa; e a outra asa, de cinco côvados, tocava na asa do outro querubim.
12 And the wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing of five cubits was joined closely to the wing of the other cherub.
12 Também a asa do outro querubim era de cinco côvados e tocava na parede da casa; era também a outra asa de cinco côvados e estava pegada à asa do outro querubim.
13 The wings of these cherubim as they were spread out were twenty cubits: and they were standing on their feet, and their faces were inward.
13 E as asas desses querubins se estendiam vinte côvados; e estavam postos em pé, e os seus rostos, virados para a casa.
14 And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought thereon cherubim.
14 Também fez o véu de pano azul, e púrpura, e carmesim, e linho fino; e pôs sobre ele querubins.
15 And he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits in length, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.
15 Fez também diante da casa duas colunas de trinta e cinco côvados de altura; e o capitel, que estava sobre cada uma, era de cinco côvados.
16 And he made chains in the debir; and others which he placed on the top of the pillars; and he made a hundred pomegranates, and placed them on the chains.
16 Também fez as cadeias, como no oráculo, e as pôs sobre as cabeças das colunas; fez também cem romãs, as quais pôs entre as cadeias.
17 And he set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and he called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.
17 E levantou as colunas diante do templo, uma à direita, e outra à esquerda; e chamou o nome da que estava à direita Jaquim, e o nome da que estava à esquerda, Boaz.
